The other day I really felt like I wanted to get some paints out and have a slosh round :-) I have not done much actual painting for some time now and I wanted to get away from my usual 'precise' work, so I pinched a bit of wood from the garage and got out some acrylics and a small palette knife and Voila !!!
I used them neat from the tube and smurged some gold paint round the edges afterwards. I quite like the texture but I still feel the urge to go back and "fiddle" with it (as my art tutor at College used to say) LoL
Only trouble is - the eyes follow me round the room now hahahaha LoL
Challenges I am entering:
Loving the great results. Happy PPF, Annette x

Tubes and a palette knife? What can't you create? You had me laughing out loud when you said the eyes follow you around the room. He is probably just watching to make sure the palette knife doesn't come anywhere near them to mess up his view.

ReplyDeleteGreat picture Ike, those eyes sure do stare at you though, had to scroll down so he couldn't watch me any more. LOL
ReplyDeleteHe should become the disembodied head that hovers over all us "fiddlers" and says in a deep voice, "Resist the urge...Put down the brush...leave it alone..."
ReplyDeleteWow that is stunning. Love it
