Wednesday 31 July 2013

Hello Everbody,

Well - it's Wednesday again and here I am playing in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday or WOYWW #217. That means it's time to blog surf around the World and have a peak at what art others are doing on their desks. If you want to find out about this or join in go to Julia's blog at STAMPING GROUND.

This week I am showing you a Pergamano frame that I have just finished.
This definitely makes my eyes bad and I end up going through four different pairs of glasses by the end of the day  they get stronger each time  !!! LoL

In the background are some of my ' Back to School' tickets I am making for a Swap :-D
Thank you for visiting - now I'm off round the world for my weekly 'fix'  :-D  Much LUV xxxxxxxxxxxx

Tuesday 30 July 2013

Hello scary Peeps,

We are in week 2 over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE with our theme of CHUNKY ATCs.... so here is my second one :-D
I got a ruler in the first Pic so you can see how big/small this is :-D

Click on Pics to enlarge...

With this one, I decided to mess around with some home made modelling past and a stencil. I smurged it on the outside and then painted everything to look like stone.  I must admit that I got a bit impatient about the drying time and blasted it with my heat gun - it made it puff up a bit, but it's OK !!!  Puffy stone right ??!!!!  LoL

I had already cut out the inside and painted everything black. In there I have one of my own digis 'DEAMON' (available in my Shop) and I drew some skellie hands. I printed him 6 times and then fussy cut him to make him 3D and dipped him and his hands into my melting pot. He is mounted inside on some angled foam rubber to make him come forward in a scary way   bwaahahahahaha !!!!

I hope you will pop over to HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE and look at the other jaw-dropping creations made by the Minions :-D
See you later xxxxxx

Saturday 27 July 2013

Well - it's me again !!! I am such a busy little bee today and I was inspired to do this little card for the new MelJen's Challenge #170 - Doodling. The image I have used is from Meljen and is called "Honey Bee Buckets".
I love this smiling little bee, so I coloured him up with Copics and then doodled him a honeycomb background.  I stuck him on there with 3D foamies and then mounted it all onto to honeycomb scrap paper and layered onto some honey coloured card :-) Voila !!!

Click on Pic to enlarge....

Right - coffee time now and soon it will be kitty tea time, so I may be back later :-)
Byeeeee xx

Challenges I am entering:

Hello and Happy Saturday,
I hope you are having a lovely crafty weekend.  I am hiding in my craft room in the basement 'coz it's just too darn hot upstairs. It has to be hovering around 40 today I would think !!!
Over at ATCs With Attitude, the Challenge is to make an ATC with a shaped edge. I got a lovely little freebie digi this morning from A Day For Daisies - called 'Dancing Poppy' - and I have decided to use her.  The backing is from Delicious Doodles. I have mounted it onto some thick black card and then fussy cut round the poppies to create my 'edge'.

I coloured her with Copics and then added some Stickles over the top for glitz :-)  She is mounted on 3D foamies for 'pop'. Three little gems from my stash finish it off.

Challenges I am entering:

ATCs With Attitude #45 - Shaped Edge
A Day For Daisies #75 - Add some Shine
Dreamweaver Stencils Challenge - Summertime, Sparklers & S'mores

Hello Peeps,
I hope you are having a fantastic Saturday and will enjoy a crafty weekend. :-)
Here is my entry as part of QUOTH THE RAVEN DT for the Design Team Throwdown #7 over at SMEARED & SMUDGED. This Post is a bit picture heavy but you'll see why............

Click on Pics to enlarge

All the images are from my new rubber stamp set by Smeared Ink - Quoth The Raven :-)
This is a chuncky ATC - the basic measurements are standard - 2.5" x 3.5" but the depth of these babies is 1.5".  I have split mine into three 1/2" sections and then rejoined them, so it gives me more surfaces to work on.
I made a little quill pen from part of a feather and sort of Washi tape by stamping on some pale masking tape. The roses are from my stash. All edges distressed with black ink. Papers are from 3 Hearts Designs at the Digital Scrap Cafe.
I hope you will pop over to QUOTH THE RAVEN and see what my Teamie Sistahs ... SHELL  and BLACK DRAGON have made, and don't forget - you have until 1st August to enter our latest POE related Challenge at QTR..... IndePOEdence Day.

Now - if you would like to Vote for your favourite DT creations in this Throwdown Challenge, you have until 30th JULY to do so. Please go HERE.

Happy Friday Everybody Peeps :-)

Here is a little something I have made for Sarn's Challenge - RUDOLPH DAY - over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I was totally inspired by ENFYS who has given a fabulous Tutorial on how to make this shape of card over on her Blog ... GOING BUGGY. It's called a 'Petal Card'. Awesome - Thank you Enfys. If you would like to see how to do this go HERE.

The image I have used inside is my Freebie to you this week - "CrackaCat". If you would like him, please scroll down to the next Post. :-D
I have coloured him with Copics.

Click on Pic to enlarge...

I had to use a different die 'coz I don't have the same one that Enfys used, but it worked almost as well.

I used:

'Crackacat' by me - available as a Freebie today.
Papers by PSX
Whispers Archival Ink - Whisper Pink
Stickles - Crystal
White card stock

Hello Wednesday Peeps,

HAPPY WOYWW 216.... if you don't know what we're on about here, then pop over to Julia's Blog at the STAMPING GROUND and have a look. It's a great way of nosying round other people's desks to see what they are up to.

Right - so this week it's a shot of what I am doing just now..... making little baggies for my friend who makes jewellery.
In exchange for this mind numbingly tedious task of cutting, scoring, folding and sticking, we usually barter, and this time she is giving me 2 bags of fabric 'offcuts' and a Frappe in town on Thursday morning :-D
OK 50 done and 50 more to go !!!! :-D

See you later and thanks for dropping by :-) xx

Hello Creepy Peeps,
Here we are again for HDH172 over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE. This time our Theme is Chunky ATCs....
Don't freak out. It's not as intimidating as you may think.
Basically, a chunky ATC consists of a dimensional ATC,
measuring 3.5" x 2.5" x 1.5". Usually it is cut from a plank of
wood, but it can also be a bunch of ATCs glued together to achieve the
1.5" depth. You can also create a hollow box (see template below),
as long as it measures properly.
You can have all kinds of dimension and embellishments, as long as they
are all attached to the original 2.5" x 3.5" x 1.5" block/box.

Now I decided to go completely out on a limb with this one and use Acetate. !!! My measurements are the same but 4 out of the 6 sides are thick acetate and the other 2 sides are cardboard. I used some stripped corrugated card for the back and inked it up with red and black and stamped on some crinkles.
On the front is a ribcage from Smeared Ink's Anatomy 101 Set. Inside, there is a heart :-D  I printed it out 12 times and then fussy cut it into 6 layers each side and sandwiched the sides together so it made it 3D. Then I coloured it and dipped it into my melting pot. The little 'drips' of blood were drippings from my hot glue gun and I coloured them red with Copics. The 'blodd' on the floor below is melted red sealing wax. The heart is suspended on very fine fishing line so that it doesn't show and the heart rotates inside....... it also makes a really cool knocking sound like a heart beat when you move the box a little :-D bwaahahahaha !!!

Front View... click Pic to enlarge

Here is a cool Template for a Chunky ATC if you want one :-D Just click on it to enlarge and Save.

So - there you have it.  :-)
This is also my contribution to the HDH  DT entry into Smeared & Smudged's  Design Team Throwdown Challenge. You can find all the deets HERE.I hope you will pop over to HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE and see what my fellow Minions have for your delight and maybe you will join in with us too :-)

Hello POE Peeps,
Just dropping in to say that we are just past half way through Quest 22 - "IndePOEdence Day" over at QUOTH THE RAVEN. You have until 1st August to submit your entries to this Challenge.
I have done a couple more pages in my mini POE album to hopefully inspire you :-D
I hope you will come over and play along.

Click on Pic to enlarge...

I got a great US flag image from the web and printed it onto some paper. Then I pleated it like it was blowing :-) The images are rubber stamps from the Quoth The Raven set by SMEARED INK.
I've got a little secret flap behind the Raven and a little tag slot. Skullies added for a bit of ummmphh :-)

Sunday 21 July 2013

Me again,

I have been playing around with 'FRANK' - a fabulous chap from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY.
I know he's a fairly 'manly' pink chap but I had some snippets left over from a kit and decided to go all pink with him :-D I think though that he still looks a pretty fancy Guy :-)

Click on Pic to enlarge...

The rest of the creation is made up using bits from Annie Arts 'Love & Valentine Card Kit'.

I was supposed to be entering him in Sentimental Sundays, but I just missed it :-( !!!

Challenges I am entering:

Scribbles Design Challenge #7 - Celebrate Your Nation's Colours....... Well, it's so darn hot here just now - everyone is PINK................ let's see if I get away with this ?!!! hahahahaha LoL

Hello Peeps and Happy Sunday :-)

I made up some Texture Paste yesterday using PVA and Wall Stucco, just to see what it comes up like. It works really nicely but I am not the most patient person when it comes to drying time  :-D LoL !!

I had quite a success on my project for HDH - but I can't show you that until tomorrow :-)   Anyhoo, I had some left-overs from cutting out flowers so I tried it using that as a stencil. When it was dry, I smurged over it with a black ink pad :-D  I have used it on my background here.....

Click on Pic to enlarge

I used thick cardboard for my backing and smeared a black ink pad over it to start. Then I stamped it with a new 'crackle' rubber stamp I just got. A snippet of lace and cardboard on there too plus one of my Brains made by Creepy GlowbuggI The image was coloured with Promarkers, Copics and Prismacolor Black pencil.  Oh yeah - forgot to say about the Glossy Accents on her Lollypop :-)

I used,
Image from Lacey Sunshine - "Zandy Candy Zombie"
Promarkers: Tea Green, Soft Green, Cinnamon, Caramel, Orchid, Amethyst, Purple, Warm Grey
Copics:   G000, E95
Prismacolor Pencil - Black
Clay Brain - Creept Glowbugg
Lace, corrugated card from stash

Hello Peeps,
I am still on my Challenge Bash and I have done this piece for this week's WICKED WEDNESDAY ATCs Challenge #93.... 'Tree Houses'.
I'm not quite sure this is what they had in mind LoL !!! :-D
I won there last week with my cat ATC, so let's see if I'm on a roll !! :-D

The background is a poem from SPYDER - I think it was a freebie last Halloween,  and the Raven is from SMEARED INK - from the Quoth The Raven Set. The little house was part of a freebie scrapbooking kit last year, but sadly it is un-named :-( The Tree With Crows is by DeStempelwinkel.

Click on pic to enlarge

The house is put on 3D foamies and the Raven was printed and fussy cut 3 times to make him 3D. I used foamies for him too as my silicone doesn't like this hot weather.

Well, I'm back again having been so ashamed of my Workdesk this morning on WOYWW #215, that I had a darn good tidy up and filled a black plastic bag with crud. Everything looks much neater now and I felt inspired to create something.
I was messing with a semi-cutesie image and trying to make it a little more 'other side-ish' and I came up with this.......

This little guy was drawn by Naomi of CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE, and she is sponsoring at The Crafters' Cafe this week. I have coloured him by 'paper piecing' digitally in PSE9. His background is 'Bats + Eyes' by Cute and Useful.

WOYWW 215...... Eeeeeek !!

Good Morning and Happy WOYWW #215.

I am almost ashamed to show this mess. This is the right-hand side of one of my surfaces. I have received happy mail and got new stuff and it has all just been dumped here !!!!
I must get round to a sort out and tidy up !!!!!
If you are wondering what all this is about - why not pop over to JULIA at THE STAMPING GROUND  and have a look.

I'm off to see what other peeps are up to now. byeeee

Tuesday 16 July 2013

Crikey - I nearly forgot this one too. !!!!
Here is my entry sneaking in at the last minute for WICKED WEDNESDAY ATCs ....Challenge #92 - "DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE". In case you didn't know... an ATC is any piece of art measuring 2.5" by 3.5".

I have used my own Cheeseshire Cat  digi on a spirally background and theFont is called Impact :-)

Wicked Wednesdays ATCs #92 - Down The Rabbit Hole   ......YaY... WINNER
Tuesday Throwdown #156 - Anything Goes

Gosh, I completely forgot to put up the scary post for the midway point at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE. This time is a "Freakers' Free For All", which basically means you can put anything you like.... so long as it's scary, horror, Gothic etc. :-D

I made a tea light cover using one of my own digis 'DEAMON' - available in my SHOP. I printed him out 5 times and fussy cut him into layers so he would go 3D. The eyes were completely cut out and then I re-drew them onto some acetate and stuck them behind. Then I took a toilet roll and cut holes where the eyes are. I covered it with some skull paper from Crafty Chaos, and then stuck my Deamon on the front. Inside I put one of those little electric flashing Tea Lights. :-)
It was a nightmare to try and photograph, but I did one ordinary, the red one is my hand covering the flash, and the green one is deflecting the flash with shiny card. It looks sooooooo cool in real life coz his eyes flash with the light :-D     bwahahahahaha !!!!

Click on Pics to enlarge... if you dare !!!! LoL

I hope you will come over and see what other scary stuff we have to show you and maybe play along with my Minion Sistahs !!!???  Go on.... I dare you :-D xxxx

Love To Create Challenge #74 - Fairy Tale or Fantasy

Happy Tuesday Peeps,

Today I have been having another bash at an Art Journal. This is actually only page 3 as I am not overly confident with this sort of thing.
Anyhoo, I wanted to enter the MUSICALLY CHALLENGED #4 - Chris Isaak Challenge which is being sponsored by SASSY STUDIOS. Now, I have some Sassy's but I went over and bought myself 2 new ones as I didn't have any in bikinis - which were right for the song (if you watch the video).
I started with a plain page in my A4 sketch book .... the page has now fallen out :-( Don't know how I will bind all this together now ...pfffftttt !!!
I inked a bit on that page and then I printed out some daisy paper, onto which I had superimposed the lyrics from the Song, then I tore round the edges and stuck that on. I used a stencil to ink through for some more flowers on top that. I found a lovely mystical stamp which I put on a couple of times in black, to sort of hint at the lady he is actually singing about.
I coloured my 2 Sassy ladies and cut them out. Then I added some 3D daisies.. as per the video. If you like to see it - go over to Musically Challenged and you can play the Vid. :-)

Click on Pic to enlarge

Hmmm... well, I think that's it. :-)

I used:
Sassy Studio Designs - "Beach Resort Sassy" and "Polka Dot Bikini"
Elaine Cox rubber stamp - "Miranda".

I have made this little tag book to join in the challenge over at QUIRKY CRAFTS... #14  "Daddy's Taking Me To The Zoo Tomorrow..."

The first picture shows my ruler so you can see how big/small they are. I have used all images by Dustin Pike at DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS and he even had some matching tags too. I had to make my own background tags for the Lion and the Rhino. :-)  I threaded them all together with a piece of black wool that I un-twizzled to make it look like a tail.

Click on Pics to enlarge..

You should pop over and see the fabulous DT creations at Quirky Crafts - they are amazingly cute :-D
I'm rather enjoying myself doing Challenges today, so I may well be back later :-D See ya' xxxx

I'm back again......
Here is a little piece I have done for a couple of Challenges after having been inspired by LISA over at DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES. She's on a couple of DTs and made a creation that got me started :-D
Now, I LUV Scribbles by Sandy and especially CARL... so I just had to use a new one I got of him called "Cool Carl". I have coloured him with Copics and cut him out to 3D him on foamies.
He is set against a backdrop of Greece and the colours are in the colours of the National Flag. The doilies are to represent the fabulous lace made here in Greece.
I have followed a sketch from Digi Darla's Challenges for this piece.

Click on Pic to enlarge.

I made a little funny sentiment for Carl and it says ...................................
"Ey  !!!...... You wan' come visit with me in Greece ?????!!!   My Brother he has boat named Noah" !!

Hello Monday Peeps..... Again !!!

Over at SMUDGY ANTICS this fortnight, the Challenge is to use some METAL. It can be real, faux, recycled cans etc. all that kinda' stuff.
I have gone for a backing of the inside of a Greek cake box, which is like crinkled tin. I put it through my new MBossaibilities folder from Spellbinders - 'Creative Cogs' then I put some Alcohol inks on it. When they dried I smurged some Black Stayzon over the top to bring out the embossing a bit more.
The images are from SMEARED INK....  'Open Corset' from the SI Heavy Metal Set and the lady is part of one of my exclusive digis for SI... 'Mirror, Mirror'.  I fussy cut all the bits out of the corset and mounted the sides on 3D foamies with a slight bend, so the front bulges out a bit. My lady is also mounted on foamies. Sentiment  I made myself.
