LET's BREAK OUT THE STAMPS

Helloooo Peeps,
I thought I would go through my stamp boxes today and have a little play, and I realized how many stamps I actually have and how little I use them :-(
So today, I have used 2 sets of NBUS to make this leetle offering :-)  It's probably the closest thing you are gonna' get to Valentines from me !! Bleh humbug !!

For my base, I have used snippets of red and white card left over from Krimbo :-) I stamped the white card multiple times using stamps from my SARNTANGLES limited edition rubber stamp set. These were made by my mate SARN at Stamping For Pleasure.  I have used one of them before but most of the set is NBUS.  I used the Tangle and the LOVE stamp. I edged the card with some Whispers red ink.

On top of that I layered a piece of plain Vellum with a punched edge and attached it with a heart brad.

The Baby Teddy and his Mum are stamped using the " BEAR HUGS " set from Stampin Up.

RUDOLPH DAY - OCTOBER

I'm back again today with my 2 creations for the October RUDOLPH DAY hosted by Sarn over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE. Now I must admit that I haven't played every month and if I had I would have far more Chrimbo cards made by now - which is the whole idea.

So anyways, my first one features "MERRY CHRISTMAS OWL" who was a freebie a couple weeks ago from SPYDER. I have coloured him with Promarkers and mounted him on red card. I thought he looked a bit like a Robin - so I made a bit of a boo boo when I coloured him up  !! LoL  :-D  The musical notes paper is a re-cycled cracker and the fir treees are the left-over bits from peel-offs.

My 2nd entry (I actually remembered this time that I have to submit 2 LoL) is made using a free digi that I got just today. He is called  "Henry With Mistletoe" and is from PINK GEM DESIGNS.

First I 'paper pieced' his scarf and then I printed him out 6 times and fussy cut his pieces to make him 3D. I coloured each piece as I went. Now I have to show you this..... my clean cutting mat cuz last time I went over Sarn gave me a complete roasting for the state of my mat and threatened to come out here with a bottle of Jif  !!!  This is to show her that I cleaned it up in sheer panic hahahaha LoL

So here he is all stuck together and I set him on an embossed plain red background. This embossing folder was given to me by a friend and I don't know who made it. I used my die cutters to make a flower and leaves and then added a little stiff foil Merry Christmas.

I am pleased with myself that I actually got to play AND did it early this time around. :-D

SEPTEMBER RUDOLPH DAY

Hello Peeps,
Bit of a Christmassy thing going on today as this is my entry for RUDOLPH DAY over at Sarn's Blog STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I am a bit quick off the mark this week with the latest FREEBIE image from SPYDER.... he's called 'Smiley Snowman' and if you pop over there you can snag yours now. :-D 
I have coloured him with Copics and Promarkers, and mounted him onto red card.

I have used all Snippets from my Christmas bits box from last year. Papers are from Paper Creator. I cut out some hexagons with my punch & stamp set from STAMPIN' UP and glued them to a piece of card. This was mounted on to red card. The card itself is plain white but is layered with a little left-over of snowflake vellum.

the label and brad I found in the bottom of the box. :-D

EEEEeek !! Just found out that I have to put BOTH Rudolph Day entries on the same Blog Post - so here is my 2nd one.

The little image is by Wonderstrange and is coloured with Copics. The rest is raided from the snippets box.

This one is for my more 'Creepy'-luvin friends. :-D

A PRODUCTIVE DAY 2

I'm back again using some more of my awesome freebies and stuff.
I've got 2 Chrimbo cards here........ oh I can hear you groaning !!!.... but they are for the RUDOLPH DAY Challenge over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE. The idea of the Challenge is to make two Chrimbo cards a months and then we don't have a last minute panic in December (well, in theory anyhow ! LoL)
My first creation is a Tag using "Birthday Puppy Plain" from SPYDER.

A PRODUCTIVE DAY - 1

It was raining with a thunder storm this morning, so instead of going out to the shops, I came down to my craft room...... any excuse eh ?!!

I have decided to start using all the fabulous things I collect along the way in Blogger... you know - awesome freebies and giveaways by Bloggers - that I duly collect and then file away in my huge stash file, and then forget that I've got !!   LoL

So, I'm working my way through my March stash, and on this piece I have used a fabulous new digi by SARN over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE (the famous organiser of the monthly 'Rudolph Day' where we make cards ready for Christmas and enter her little Challenge at the same time).
But, I digress...... Sarn also draws the famous "SarnDangles" on her creations and they are fabulous. Peeps are attempting to get her to make + sell them as digis. Here's what I mean....

Cool eh ??!!! (I've put my WM over it so no-one snatches it from here).

She has this awesome way of stamping one stamp on a card and added inked backgrounds etc. in a fabulous CAS way and I attempted to emulate her style with this digi of hers called "Daisy", but it didn't work out. In the end I printed it 3 times and fussy cut bits to make it 3D. I did manage to get a splatter background but couldn't make it look as good as her creations !! LoL

I printed it 3 times and cut the whole thing once and the petals twice. I didn't stick each petal down and it looks really cool with them not quite over each other as it seems like there are loads more :-)

So, there we are... I am off to see what else I got as freebies this month and make something else :-)

RUDOLPH DAY - JANUARY 2014

Aaaaarrrrgggggh !!! Can you believe how fast January is rushing by us ??!!!! It's RUDOLPH DAY  again and if you don't know what this is by now, it is the brainchild of Sarn over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE, where we all get together in cyberspace for the 25th of each month leading up to Christmas, and we make cards. The idea is that we don't have a last minute mad dash to get them done. This year Sarn has decreed that we must make 2 or more to enter Rudolph Day and so here are mine.

I used a ton of snippets and stuff out of my "bits box" and just about knackered a sewing needle :-D The Reindeer were die cuts given to me by a friend and I stamped over the top of them. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some Distress Inks by TH. The basic cards I already had festering in a box for years as I wasn't sure I liked the crinkle cut edges (I know I could cut round them to make them straight... I know !!!!)

So there we are - at least I am in the Challenge this month and there are 2 adorable little stamps to be won, so why not pop over and play along at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.

I was totally inspired by ENFYS who has given a fabulous Tutorial on how to make this shape of card over on her Blog ... GOING BUGGY. It's called a 'Petal Card'. Awesome - Thank you Enfys. If you would like to see how to do this go HERE.

RUDOLPH DAY - JUNE

Hi there,
Just popping in quickly to enter my creation for June's RUDOLPH DAY over with Sarn at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I have used some scraps for this... I had already printed the Teddy before and I used a holly edge punch to go round some scraps of plain paper.

I am legging it off to Kos now for the weekend to visit a chum who's husband is away in the UK for 2 months !! She's stuck out in the middle of nowhere, so off to keep her company and kill a box of red wine :-D LoL

RUDOLPH DAY - MAY 2013

Gosh - doesn't this come around quickly.... I totally missed last month :-(

RUDOLPH DAY over at Sandra's Blog ..... STAMPING FOR PLEASURE is a little Challenge she poses every month which also gives us a chance to get some cards made in preparation for Chrimbo, well ahead of time.... well at least that's the theory !! Doesn't always work for me LoL :-D
Here's my one for this month - see... only 1 hahahahaha !!!

I actually did some rubber stamping on this one... shock, horror !!!! :-)

This stamp is 'A Beautiful Sight' from the Unity Stamp Co.

I used a die cut and then embossed it at the back. The red frame was the left-over from a previous die cut. I printed my stamp on a snippet of white card and then sewed the frame onto the main card. My Reindeer is a die cut from a friend and I stamped onto him as well.

I edged the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Peeled Paint.

WOT ARE TWINCHIES ?!!!

Hello again Peeps,
I have heard lots about Twinchies, and other weird thingies but wasn't sure what they were until I went over to Sarn's Blog today.... STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.. where she had made one for a Challenge.  It was like a "Derrrrr !!!" moment when I realised it mean - 'Two Inch' creations !!!!
I thought I would give it a go and also break out one of my new Stampin' Up sets.... 'Betsy's Blossoms'.
Well, Sarn is always an inspiration to me when I am in 'Cutesy/Normal Mode' LoL...  so I produced this..............

I coloured up my flower stamp with Marvy Brush Markers and stamped directly onto my card. Then I did the same with the leaves and cut them out. They were then given a hint of Stickles and layered on there with foam pads to make them pop out. The little bee is from 'Cute as a Bug' digi set from Carley's Digi Scraps, and it was a free kit that she gave away daily all through February :-D

Then I wrote my little sentiment with a fine tip pen. :-)

This is my first 'Twinchie' and I'm not sure that these things wouldn't make you got blind if you did too many hahahaha. Anyhoo - I dedicate this one to Sarn - a source of inspiration :-D xxx

RUDOLPH DAY - FEBRUARY 2013

Well, here we are again at RUDOLPH DAY February !!! Doesn't the time just fly by ??!!

This Challenge is hosted by Sarn over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE, and the idea is we make a card every month on 25th and then we have a stash ready for Chrimbo :-)  I have to do Rudolph Day or Sarn will come over and beat me up !! LoL.... Well, not really of course .... she's a sweetie...  If she did, she could have a bit of a holiday in the sun whilst I recovered hahahahaha !!

I think she would be quite pleased with me this time, coz this card is made using up a lot of bits and pieces I had as left-overs :-D The only thing new is the little wooden Reindeer I got from Hobbycraft last summer when I visited my daughter in the UK.

I am way early this month so hoping to be the first one to enter the Challenge.

RUDOLPH DAY 1

Yay,
My friend Sarn at Stamping For Pleasure is doing RUDOLPH DAY again this year. :-)
The idea is that we make a Christmas Card every month on the 25th right up until Christmas :-D  LUV it !!!

Here is my card for this first Challenge.
I was sitting using all my snippets up and having fun with my sewing machine. I actually got a stamp out too and stamped onto my cut-out reindeer. Anyhoo - I was merrily doing this to make cards for my family and friends this year, when a friend dropped in on me unexpectedly and promptly bought the lot !!!!!
Needless to say, my family got an assortment of other LoL
I think Sarn with be pleased coz she's always going on about us using our snippets !!!!  Nag, nag, nag ..!!! Hahahahaha

RUDOLPH DAY 3

Hi again,
Here I am with my 3rd entry for November RUDOLPH DAY over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I decided to get some stamps out today and I have used 'A Little Bit Sketchy 2' by Sheena Douglas. I stamped the images with black Stazon and then coloured them with watercolour pencils. I fussy cut the piece of fern and mounted it on tiny sticky foam pads for 3D effect.I then mounted it all onto a snippet plain fern green card and added a shiny chrimbo sentiment :-)

I hope Sarn will be pleased with me this month :-D xxxx

I have used one of my new Elves from Melonheadz Illustrating as the focal image :-) Bits and bobs from stash and I used my Tim Holtz rosette cutter thingy.

This is the last Rudolph Day before the actual big day, so I must get making more Chrimbo cards, coz they take ages to post from Greece and I will probably miss Christmas altogether if I don't hurry !!!!

RUDOLPH DAY

Good Morning,
Gosh - it's come round again.... over on my friend Sarn's Blog - STAMPING FOR PLEASURE - she does Rudolph Day every month on 25th. I think the idea was to get our Chrimbo cards done well in advance....pfffttt !!! ... that hasn't happened with me LoL
Anyways, onto my card... I have used 'Cloaked Lady'   and 'A Crofters' Cottage' from Delicious Doodles. I coloured her up and then cut her out and stuck her on the cottage pikkie with silicone to make her stand out a bit.

I found some white netting from a fruit bag and made a flower and stuck a half pearl in the centre. I've had the backing paper for a while - I think it's off an old CD I have - I pleated the paper just on the right-hand side a bit. The swirl is made with a cut cut... I can't remember who it's by. I bought one of those magnetic cases to put them in, so of course, I don't have the bloomin' packaging now !!!!

So - I will be making a couple more cards today for Rudolph Day and I hope you will pop over to Sarn's Bloggie and play along :-)

AUGUST RUDOLPH DAY

Happy Saturday Everyone,
I have made another creation for entry into Sarn's RUDOLPH DAY challenge over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE. The aim is to make a stock of Christmas goodies every month on 25th. :-) I have made an ATC using a freebie background paper and my "Hot Santa" image available in my SHOP. I am really into ATCs at the moment... something I have avaoided for a long time and I really don't know why, coz now I'm hooked LoL

Sorry the pic quality is not so good - I am still struggling with my little camera which is dying on it's feet. Got a new one coming :-)

I might squeeze in a couple more. You know she just loves to make me do this Christmas stuff !!!.... what about Hanukkah I say ??????
