SO LUCKY

Happy Wednesday morning to you all,
Today I have a little Tag for you. Today at Simply Create Too, the Challenge is 'I'm So Lucky' and with St Patrick's Day coming up there is plenty of inspiration around :-)
I have used a fabulous little FREE image from Susan Paulson who is hosting a Tag challenge over at The Stamping Boutique at Crafter's Cafe. You get the image for free if you join in :-D
I have coloured him digitally and the 'paper pieced' his trousers, waistcoat and shirt. Then I printed him out 6 times and layered him up with silicone to make him really 3D. Not sure if this shows up well in the photo :-)
I have used a 6 x 3 inch tag which I distressed with green ink first. I made a little kilt effect on the side using St Patrick tartan and added some feathers and a button, I though looked a bit shamrock-like :-). I added 3 tiny cut-out shamrocks at the bottom that I covered with Stickles to make then sparkly. My sentiment tag was another freebie from Crafting With Jack over at the CDAC Progressive Freebie Digi Challenge.

WHICH WITCH ARE YOU ???? HDH122

Hello and welcome to Macabre Monday at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE. This week our Theme is 'Which Witch Are You?' where you can depict yourself as a witch or use your favourite witch in your creation.  I have used 'Hedwig' from Rick St Denis. I had forgotten I had this and this is the first time I have coloured her up :-D   I coloured her with Copics. For my background I have used papers and elements by Helena Monteiro's  'Boo' kit available from Digidesign Resort. I layered up my witch and the buttons using silicone glue and I followed the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp for my design.

BLACK & BLUE AT SMUDGY ANTICS

This week at Smudgy Antics our theme is Black & Blue -  now, I must admit that this totally stumped my Mojo this week. I left it almost until the last minute before I got my brain in gear for a creation. !! Don't ask me why - isn't it weird sometimes when a theme just doesn't give you anything at all.... or is that just me ???
Anyhoo - I came up with this:

My main images are 'Dead Dancer' and my latest acquisition -  'Praise Angel'  from the Symbology of Angels Set both of which are from SMEARED INK. I coloured both images digitally in PSE and I have layered them onto a montage of two other images. One is from The Black Swan poster which I borrowed from Google and this is faded into a white and black feather background. Don't ask me how/why I got this in my head - it just came all of a sudden. :-D
So, I hope you will come over and join us this week. You can create anything you like so long as it fits in the theme of the Challenge BUT you are only eligible to be picked as Winner or Top 3 if you have used a Smeared Ink image in your creation.

It is glorious and sunny here and about 25 degrees :-D      Dontcha' just love it :-)
Here is my first creation for the Progressive Free Digi Challenge over at CDAC. I have used my latest FREEBIE image (available for 1 week until she skips off to my Shop) The lovely sentiment digi is a freebie from Crafting With Jack. 

I used a bit of Irish tartan paper and some shamrock for the backing - torn and distressed with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint ink and made a little pleated tartan thingy to decorate. She is cut out and stuck with silicone for lift. My sentiment tag is coloured digitally and then cut out and inked on the edges. It is stuck with a foam pad.

I seem to be in tag mode at the moment, having just got myself a packet or two :-) This is only ever the 5th one I've done - I did 2 today LoL -  but I am getting to like them more. :-D

RUDOLPH DAY 2 - FEB

Hello,
I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend and doing loads of crafting :-D
I am entering over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE again this month for Sandra's RUDOLPH DAY. What better way to get all your Chrimbo cards done than doing this throughout the year on 25th of each month. :-) Don't know how long I will keep it up 'cos I nearly forgot this month !!!
Anyways, I have created a tag with a tag for my offering today. The first one I distressed with my new blade thingy and added 'Stella - Christmas Fruitcake' image and sentiment from Bugaboo stamps. I coloured her digitally and then cut her out and used silicone to stick her to my tag. The sentiment was put on another tag with some holly. I distressed this tag with some dark green ink and the holly was layered with foam pads. I think it kinda works :-)

TAG IT ON

Me again,
I'm feeling inspired today :-D
I was browsing Black Dragon's blog when I saw a challenge over at Dragon's Dream, where they do a thing called Tag It On. The theme this time  is 'Bird Song'  - a novel about WW1 by Sebastian Faulks - and I was totally inspired by the story and the gorgeous creations over at Dragon's Dream.  Now, I'm not usually one for making tags - I've only ever done 3 I think, - but I recently sent off for some tags to have a play. So, here is my effort.....

I have used several images for the background and superimposed them upon each other. The lady is from itKuPiLLi, ribbon is from my stash, the rose I made myself, and the bird is a die-cut... one of a few I bought from a sweet friend Linda who is selling them at her Blog shop. Go to Scrapcat Cards by Linda to get some great die-cuts at super prices. It's a great way to get them as I couldn't afford all those cartridges she has for her Cricut !!!! I also added some extra cut out barbed wire over the top.

Welcome to Thursday :-D Today we go up with Quest 4 over at QUOTH THE RAVEN which this week is called "Oh, Poor Kitty" and takes it's theme from 'The Black Cat' by Edgar Allan POE. If you don't know the story, you can read it HERE. I have whipped up some new images for this one, which can be found in my Shop. I'm having a bit of a shuffle round over there and now have separate categories, so that hopefully will make things easier. :-)

Here is my offering for this week, using my Wall from 'Poe Wall Cat', but with a new cat I did this week. I printed the wall out 3 times and layered it up to give it depth. He is put against a graveyard background and I added another cat up the tree and a POE image blended into the background. All images were coloured digitally.

THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL

Happy Monday and welcome to our latest Challenge at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE  - MACABRE MONDAY HDH 121 "The Garden of Good & Evil". Your task is to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween type piece, that illustrates the battle between good and evil that is fought nightly in the garden of your imagination. Show us the inhabitants of your garden, be they gnomes, plants, faeries, or something else entirely.
This week I have used my new digi that I gave away as Friday's FREEBIE - I coloured him digitally. He is the 'good' bit and the 'evil' bit is the gorgeous little wicked 'Schrooms' from Smeared Ink's 'Killer Bo Peep' set. He seems to have some goodie type weed killer in his little jug ....hee hee

Hello Monday Peeps,
This week at SMUDGY ANTICS - the Challenge is "Wicked with Wings".

We are curious to see your take on this challenge.  What does "Wicked With Wings" mean to you?  Are you afraid of flying stinging insects?  Do demons haunt you in your sleep?  Have you ever seen a fae?  Is a bird your familiar?

  Get creative and don't be afraid to think outside the box.  We can't wait to see what you come up with!  BTW, you do not have to make a card.  We also accept altered items, art journal pages, mixed media pieces, etc.  As long as there is a stamped image and you follow the rules on the left sidebar at Smudgy Antics, it's all fair game. 

 I have used 'Quill' from the Gargoyles set by Smeared Ink and teamed him with a little freebie I got from A Day 4 Daisies. Both are coloured with Copics. The backing is a generic pikkie of kitchen shelves with various sauces cut and pasted thereon. :-D

This week I offer you a creation for the Theme 'Love Lies Bleeding'. I have used one of my Poe digis, which is called 'Telltale Heart' and is available in my Shop.
I have added with it a heart and Calypso the rat from Smeared Ink.
The gnarly hand is also one of my new digis - will be going to the Shop shortly. Just let me know if you can't wait that long for it ?!! I have given him a tattoo using another Smeared Ink image from the 'Heart Wings' set.

Over at Smeared & Smudge Forum, us Sistahs were having a bit of a laugh with Black Dragon recently and I came up with this baby in pink, so decided to use it for Day 3. The hearts are a new digi from Smeared Ink and everything was coloured digitally. Sentiment was made on my PC... well, it's true isn't it ?? .... where else would BD get her nail colour from ???!!!!  LoL

SMEARED & SMUDGED BLOODY VALENTINE BLOG HOP ..... DAY 2

Hello and welcome to DAY 2 of the SMEARED & SMUDGED MEMBER's FORUM BLOODY VALENTINE BLOG HOP.

Backing papers are from Crafty Chaos and the main image is from the Zombie Headshots set and is called 'Sinister Zombie' ... yeah - she looks pretty sinister to me !! I coloured her digitally.  I placed her on a backing with colours that are supposed to look a bit like putrefying flesh.... pity we don't have 'scratch + sniff' blogs.... hmmm or Not !!!   My backing was then torn apart, punched and eyelets inserted and then threaded with twiney stuff.  I only had pink so I coloured it up a bit with a red felt pen to make it look bloody :-) The sentiment is from Ginger's House.
So - now you are off to the talented Sara to see what she has concocted for us today. Don't forget to leave the Girls some LUV on the way round.  xxx

CDAC PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE 11

Happy Saturday and here are my entries so far to the CDAC Progressive Challenge No. 11. You get FREE digis to play along. You can join in at any time along the Challenge - it just costs you $1 to buy in and provided to enter at least 1 card per Challenge, you get the next set of Digis. Cool eh ?!! You'd better be quick though - this set of digis will be replaced on 13th February. 
This cute little chappy is from Sew Many Cards. He is called 'Bailey Bear Valentine'.  I have coloured him digitally and printed him 4 times so that I could decoupage him to make him 3D. He's soooo sweet. Fluffy stuff for my heart was my last piece of hand made paper :-( Backing papers were a freebie from Sizzix I think ! 

The second card is using an image from Melissa T Liban Illustrations AND a background digi from Whimsy & Stars Studio. I turned the bears into pandas. The backing was coloured by 'paper piecing a sunset, grass and some trees. The house and clouds were coloured with markers. The pandas were then printed twice and decoupaged onto the front.

I don't do the slurpy stuff and think the whole thing is a load of bull poop and yet another money making device to squeeze pennies out of you. So now you know !!
My project, however, is kinda pink and a bit girlie.......... on the Outside  hee hee hee.!! :-D

All images are from Smeared Ink - loads of Grumpies and of course the mad, painting Professor and 'Curious Rat' from the 'Mad Science Set'.  Paintbrush I did myself. All images that are coloured were done digitally. I cheated a bit with my Grumpies, 'cos I won a bumper sticker recently with a whole group of the little tikes on and I scanned it to get some of these 'cos I don't have that many. I hope that is OK ??!!

QUOTH THE RAVEN - QUEST 3 - ANNABEL LEE

Hello Peeps,
Today over at QUOTH THE RAVEN we have Quest 3 - Annabel Lee. The quest is to make a creation - anything you like - which has reference to Annabel Lee - as in the poem by Edgar Allen POE.
Here is my creation using a new digi I drew especially for this occasion. She is available in my Shop.

I printed her out 4 times and decoupaged her to make her 3D and also added some gauzy stuff in there for a hint of a dress. :-D
My background is a sepulchre pikkie from Lippincotts Magazine 1877, birds and Poe portrait from But I Digress and words from Poe's poem of Annabel Lee.

NEW SMEARED INK IMAGES

Here I have another image which is new from SMEARED INK and is part of the 'Monster Heart' Set. His name is Corneleus.
My card is made using gorgeous free papers from LeeLou, Nesties and a Martha Steward punch. I edged all the elements using Versacolour ink in red. I coloured Corneleus digitally and printed him 3 times so I could fussy cut and decoupage him. I layered him up with silicone, added some charms and voila !!

If I'd known I would've finished this in time, I could have put him as one of my DT projects I doubled up on, but Hey-Ho. :-( xxx

I'M CHEATING TODAY

Happy Monday All,
I am doing a bit of a cheater today...... I am using one project for 2 DT commitments as I have been a little under the weather. I started off in January being soooo organized and got myself almost 1 month in advance (great thing for Autoposting eh ?!!), but now I've been zapped. !!
I have struggled to get this one thing out so I plead forgiveness on this occasion :-(


My project is for this week's Challenge at SMUDGY ANTICS - we are having "Anything Goes" this week, so there's no excuses for not having a go is there ????? Do you know - I was picked to be on the New SMEARED INK Design Team... I tell you, I was so chuffed. I love working with their images and am delighted to be starting my 2nd Term today. I just hope I haven't burnt myself out !!
So - onto my project - I have been experimenting with Tags. I've seen a lot of superb ones about, but at the moment I am trashing more than I am willing to Blog. :-( Still, it's just a bit new to me and I'm sure I will get the hang of it !!! Here is an offering which features 'Masquerade' by Smeared Ink. I've had her for a while but hadn't coloured her up yet. I like her a lot :-D I have put her on some red card I stamped with a mesh and rose stamp and embossed it with gold powder. Behind her is a b/w photo of the masked parade in Venice, but it got a little lost behind there. The mask and feathers were added for a little more pizzaz.
I am sorry to say that this is also my DT project for MACABRE MONDAY at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE, which this week is 'Freaker's Free For All'. She is not particularly freaky, but dang... she's lovely  huh ?? I've been practicing my digital eye make-up......snort !!!

I was lucky enough to be given a free digi to work with - 'BUGS - BEE' - and I already had one of their fantastic Vampires - 'FANGTASTIC VAMPIRE GIRL'. I have been admiring some fabulous tags lately that I have been seeing around the Blogs, so I decided to have a go myself. I coloured my images digitally and have used papers from Crafty Chaos  - 'Under A Blood Red Moon' set. I used 'Kassie's Brocade' embossing folder from Cuttlebug for one piece, and then I tore out a section to stick to my tag. I distressed it a little with sandpaper. I have just got myself a distressing tool thingy from Making Memories, so I whizzed round the outside of my tag with that. This is a bit new for me and I'm not sure I like the effect I got, but I have seen it done on lots of things so thought I would have a try :-) Then I printed my Vampire out 4 times and fussy cut her, then decoupaged with silicone to make her 3D. I made a flower from some silky, gauzy material and stuck it to my tag. Then I printed my Bee 3 times and fussy cut him to to make him layered 3D. I painted his wings with a little glitter glue for added shine, I put some on her hair too but it doesn't show that well. Finally I added some strips of the same gauzy material at the top - I burnt the edges to stop it fraying and I like the crispy look !!  So, here she is.....
