Friday 30 September 2011

At Simply Create this time our Theme is 'Older Than 6 Months'. You can use anything that you have had for 6 months or more :-) Since I am feeling in Autumn mode I have gone with those colours.
I have two things on my project that are fairly old. The image I have used is from BECCY's PLACE, and is from the 'Harvet Set'.  In case you've never been there.. a visit is a must - she gives away some fabulous images and there are masses of tutorials there too. :-D Well, I coloured the fruit basket digitally and then 'paper pieced' a wicker work image onto the basket... cool eh ??! I cut the image out twice to decoupage the fruit. Autumn leaves are from my stash and are raised on silicone for pop.
The backing papers were put through my Sizzix to emboss the dots. My cut out border is actually the same green I have used for the pears but it doesn't quite show that colour on here :-(  The bronze card I have had in my stash for about 7 years - so that is my oldest item used for this creation. Ribbon is from my stash.
So go ahead and rifle through all those boxes and drawers and pull our your ancient bits you'd forgotten about :-) !!

Happy Friday Everyone,
Wasn't feeling too good yesterday, so I am a bit behind today.
My First offering for you is the new Challenge  over at DELICIOUS DOODLES. Our theme this week is 'Tales of the Unexpected'... You could make something cute into something horrid, or make an exploding box or have a hidden item somewhere on your make. You could even do something that is totally not your normal style!!
For my card I have used Gothic Arch Template, which was a freebie download from Scrap & Stamp Arts. It was part of the GDT Challenge over at Smeared & Smudged where our Guest Designed for September is Sara aka Eternal Princess. You have to make a creation with this template.
I thought it would be brilliant for our DD Challenge and I have used 2 Delicious Doodle images.
The outside feature a new release and is called 'My Cute Kitten'. I have teamed it with a pretty pink paper which was a freebie from Bearly Mine Designs. I made the flowers and sentiment tag myself.
Inside is 'Voodoo Woman' from Delicious Doodles and she has been put on papers by Crafty Chaos - Jezebel's Remains set, and I have also used 'Flower King' border by Smeared Ink.
I coloured both images digitally, and used chalks on the sentiment tags/images.

This is a new site I found and all the papers I used for this are FREE  :-D The Lovely Word Art sentiment was created by Lady E over at My Other Creative Side. She has just started her Blog and is creating FREE Word Art, so get yourself over there and snag some !! :-)

Girl image is my own digi with head cut from magazine.
Zetti letters made on music paper by me in my graphics programme.

This week at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays and we are sponsored by My Creative Time. Our theme is 'My Favourite Colour' and mine is yellow :-)
I have used some yellow card from my stash and a Sizzix Little Sizzles paper for the backing. My main image is 'Monster Squad House from My Favorite Things  (MFT Stamps). I have paper pieced the roof and the bricks for the house and the chimney, and wood for the window frames and door. I  printed it 3 times to decoupage a 3D image. I emailed and asked the designer if I could add some little curtains to the windows. :-) The little fence and hedge is a photo from Google. My sentiment is from the stamp I was given by My Creative Time and I have made flowers from my Nellie Snellen punches and added leaves from my stash.

Friday 23 September 2011

This is a little something I whipped up for the 'Bone to Pick with You' Challenge over at Smudgy Antics.   I just couldn't resist it. :-D

The skellie is 'Mechanical Skeleton Template' from DZDD  Doohikey Designs. I wrapped him in some gauzy net from my stash to make it look like the spider caught him  .. hahahaha Googly eyes from stash. :-D

Well, Happy Friday, Freebie Peeps :-D
Since it's getting near Autumn now in a lot of places (not here really 'cos we don't have actual seasons that you'd notice.... it's either hot or it's not hahaha)  I got the urge today to draw a person as I am pretty muched Dogged out at the moment. :-) So, I present to you 'Autumn Nymph'. I hope you can use her on a lovely seasonal card :-D

Hope you like her. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee   xx

Monday 19 September 2011

Good morning,

This time over at Simply Create our Challenge is CAKE, CAKE, CAKE  and I have made this 3D cake which I have added some tiny silk roses to and a little top piece. The cake measures about 3 inches tall and was very fiddly to make. I embossed the sides and top in my Sizzix before putting it all together and made a tiny cake board from silver Mirri card. I also made a little wedding card to go with it with a fussy cut wedding coach. Fortunately I got my Craft Robo to cut this :-D

See.... I CAN do pretty, pretty too   LoL  :-D :-D

This week at Haunted Design House, the theme is "The 7 Deadly Sins" and for those of you who don't know, they would be:
Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy,
and Gluttony
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece that uses or includes the Seven Deadly Sins as inspiration. There's seven to choose from so there has to be one that strikes your fancy!
For my creation I have chosen "Pride/Vanity". I have used 'Von Bayros 2' from Smeared Ink as my main image and I have left it exactly as is, because I wanted to go with the black and white theme. It is actually entitled 'Monkey Around' but the lady is looking vainly into a mirror, so I think it works. I have put some pleated black paper along the bottom and a black doily over which I have placed my embellishment. I made it with some white netting, feathers from my chickens (NO, I didn't rush out and pluck some, they've been in moult for a while now so I have been collecting them !!) I teamed these with a lovely black felt flower I got the other day from town, one of my new stick pins from JBS and a smidge of black ribbon from my stash.

WoW - what a busy time I am having :-D
This time on Delicious Doodles Challenge, our Theme is 'Cute as a Button' - Make or use something cute, as long as there is at least ONE button somewhere!!    Our winner will get to choose FIVE digi's from the Delicious Doodles Shop

Now, I really had a shiver go down my spine when I saw the title of this one, 'cos I hate and detest buttons with a vengeance I can tell you. !!

I have used Autumn Paper from Delicious Doodles, mounted onto some orange card. My image is 'Little Pumpkin Fairy' by Delicious Doodles and I have coloured digitally, and used some glitter on her wings. My buttons are actually made from card which I then coated in glossy varnish and added some orange cord.

I actually snitched this layout from a Sara's Blog, an SSDS DT colleague and she says the Sketch was originally from Paper Sundaes.  Thanks Sara :-D xxxxxxxxxx

Thursday 15 September 2011

Well, Good Morning to you All :-)
I hope you are having a fine day. ?
Today on the Smeared & Smudged Blog we celebrate the New Releases over at SMEARED INK and you just HAVE to see the stunning new images.... OMG I want them ALL !!!! :-D
I was given 'Drool Face' from the 'Zombie Headshots set'(reminds me of someone I used to work with hahaha !!)
I have coloured him digitally and then printed him 5 times for my Decoupage. Some of it is reverse decoupage - for his eyes, mouth and grungey rotting holes - and then some is ordinary - eyebrows, hair, flesh , lip etc. This mean you can look into the holes and other bits stick out. I've taken a side pikkie in the hopes that you can see this :-)
I have teamed him with Zombie Sex Kitten  just for a laugh.... this idea came to me as soon as I saw him 'cos the Rugby WC is on now.... for weeks......... ACK !!!     SNORE zzzzzzzzzz
Anyhoo, she is just one layer for added pop and I have used 'Faraway Lands' papers from Crafty Chaos Designs. I made a simple Z fold card because I didn't want anything fussy to detract from the showcase image.

OK Peeps, here is the Blog Hop list...... pop round and look at the stunning creations the DT made with the new images and leave everyone a little love. :-)

Ike  -    THAT'S ME

Here's the New releases...

Oh Guys, am I feeling generous today ???  ....................... YUSS..... so here's a special one for Lady Editor, who up until this weekend was a Blog Virgin.... can you believe it ??!!  Let's hope she gets up and running pretty soon. Good Luck xx
Oh.... apparently she's got 2 of these little critters in real life :-D

Somebody commented and asked how I get the dogs to look so lifelike..... well, that's 'cos it's what I DO ... it's my 'thang'....and if you go to my Web you can see my Animal Portraits ... like this one.......
Oooops - too late... the doggies legged it to the Store

Byeeeee again xx

SEVEN DEADLY SINS.................Part 1

Me again today.... I've got lots of things I want to put out today.
This is my first entry to this week's Challenge over at Haunted Design House. The theme is 'Seven Deadly Sins'..... leaves us well open.. right ?!!
This one is just a humourous entry for GREED, as this image just makes me laugh and I HAD to use him. I have tried to make it a little dark and creepy by giving him a little devil.... 'Devil Boy' from Smeared Ink's CREEPERS set, and he's trying to tempt him !!
I am working on something dark and mysterious but it won't be up until much later this week. :-)

Catch ya later xxxxxxxxx

Well, Happy Monday morning lovely Peeps,

This week on Smudgy Antics our Challenge theme is PAINT, and the Prize is this totally awesome digi 'Aphrodite'. She is the Greek goddess of love, beauty and sexuality. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus.
According to Hesiod's Theogony, she was born when Cronus cut off Uranus' genitals and threw them into the sea, and from the sea foam (aphros) arose Aphrodite.
Aphrodite is also known as Cytherea (Lady of Cythera) and Cypris (Lady of Cyprus) after the two cult-sites, Cythera and Cyprus, which claimed her birth. Myrtles, doves, sparrows, horses, and swans are sacred to her.
So, there you have a little potted history and here she is.. al la Smeared Ink.

My entry this week as part of the Smeared Ink Design Team, is made from a shadow box type card. I painted it in black and deep red and then sprinkled it with red glitter. I then varnished the whole thing. I added some fibres and some brown gauzy material before adding my images. Inside I used the Grumpie that I got as part of the thank you pack from 'A Card for Ryan'. I printed him 4 times and then decoupaged him to make him 3D. He was coloured with Copics :-D  He was placed upon my last piece of wax resist technique card that I made - having been inspired by Steph's challenge over at Smeared & Smudged Forum in July.  There's some new Challenges there now for September so why not pop in and join us there :-)
On the outside I have used 'Cracked Heart' from the Heart Wings set by Smeared Ink., which I coloured digitally, and have placed one of my precious orchids that I bought in town last week (very expensive but totally gorgeous !!) and there we go ! My paint job came out a little 'browny'  but I was quite pleased with the end result.
Anyways, I'm waffling on now, so I will let you all go and create. ! Byeeee xxxxx

MAGIC........................ JUST LIKE THAT !!

Thought you might like a look at what I've been working on this week... a table and a magic box for my friend - who spookily enough possums,  is a Magician.   :-D  LoL
He's actually using them this evening at a show he is doing after a Batism. Cool eh ???

I'm glad I've finished... it's pretty stressful doing something important for someone, but he was soooooo pleased with the results..

Hi Everyone,

Well, having got woken up at 0300 hrs I decided to have a digi day AND make cards. :-) I made 3 cards and drew up some new Digis. I've just finished putting them in my SHOP, so thought you might like a peekie. !!
The Poodle is a FREEBIE today ONLY ... please scroll down. The Labrador with half a tree is also  part of Freebie Friday - More Dogs this week.... also scroll down :-)

I've been working on my Halloween digis to try and get ahead of myself and get set for 31 Days of Halloween with Smeared Ink  .... larf !!

This is my second entry to the CDAC PROGRESSIVE FREEBIE CHALLENGE....."cdacpc2" Sept 1st- Sept 14th  "Back to School" Theme.
This time I have used the image donated by Tortaglialla. I have coloured her digitally and also 'paper pieced' her frock in leopard print to go with her little safari boots. I have made her into a real cool chick Geography teacher !!  Isn't she just a cutie ?? I think she is subliminally inspired a little by my Geo teacher at school.... many, many years ago... Miss DeSilva, who came to school wearing the most beautiful saris and we had never seen anyone like her. She was very exotic.   :-)
My sentiment reads "Education... Passport to adventure".     :-)

Here's a little answer to a question "Have you ever done a Toy Poodle?"..... Answer now... YES    :-D

Especially for Susan   xx    :-)

Saturday 10 September 2011

Hello Peeps,

Here is my entry for the Progressive Challenge over at CDAC.
I made this easel card using papers and elements from September School kit from Digital Scrap Cafe. Anyways, I coloured him digitally and then printed him out 5 times and fussy cut him to make a 3D image - sticking the pieces together with silicone. He's sooo cute :-)

This time over at Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays our theme this week is "THANK YOU" and we are sponsored by Designed 2 Delight. I have used 'Lucky Bird' and coloured him with Copics. I placed him on a Nesty panel which I have edged in mint green. I embossed the main card in my Sizzix and then punched out the corners. Mint ribbon is from my stash and I handmade a little tag. Flower is made with punches and Voila !

Thursday 8 September 2011

Well, here we are in September .... doesn't time fly ???? !!

Welcome to the SMEARED & SMUDGED  Members September BLOG HOP.
If you arrived here from the lovely LISA, you are going the right way - but I gues it doesn't really matter does it ??!!
The theme this month is Pieces and Parts. Use at least two stamp or digi images combined to make a "new" image or focal point on your project. So, you can combine the top half of one stamp with the bottom of another, or add a part of one to another, or even build a background from several images, it's up to you! Use your imagination and have fun with it.

I have used images from the Stitchy Situation and A Little Bit Batty sets from Smeared Ink and combined bits of both to make my 'Family'.  They are set against 'Live Like A Hobbit'  scrapbook background by Cali Designs available at the Digi Design Resort. I made my own sentiment tag.

So, here's the list of Peeps to go and see just in case you get lost.... you're off to see JEAN now so don't forget to leave some love along the way. :-D

IKE - that's me :-D

We can't wait to see what you come up with!  Enjoy the Hop. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Saturday 3 September 2011

Here is the card for my friend's 50th Birthday that I made for his wife to send him :-) (He's been away in UK 6 months and she's here alone )
I have added a little secret message envelope for her to put something special in :-D
I have used a Kenny K image which I coloured digitally. I have printed her about 5 times and made a really deep 3D image, and positioned her on the card so she sits up on the top when it's open. I hope he can work out how it opens up and works ..... after all, he is a man !!!!
All papers are from Crafty Chaos - the 'Jezebel's Remains' Set - which is just totally gorgeous.
The card is an easel design. I made the flower and the sentiment tag myself with my Sizzix and flower punches.

Hello All,

This weekend in the US everyone celebrates Labor Day (American spelt version for you ) and over at Stamp. Scrap & Doodle Saturdays our theme is LabourDay/Occupation.
Our sponsor this time is SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS . I have used 'Domestic Diva' from the Sassy Holiday Collection for my card - isn't she just soooo beautiful ??  The faces on the stamps are just wonderful - I love them all.
I have put her on a kitchen background using silicone so that she stands out and mounted all that on cream card. I cut the edge with a punch. I made a little sentiment card and attached with silicone. I also added her a suitable book title !!!!!   :-)

I hope you will come over and play.
Challenges I am entering:

Me again Peeps,

This card was commissioned for a mutual friend who is obviously reaching his 50th Birthday.
I have used 'Grave Zombie' from Smudgetastic, which I have coloured in my graphics programme and also 'paper pieced' the gravestone with a marble effect paper. He is set on a background from Tempus Fugit at Digital Scrap Cafe. I made my own funny sentiment tag and the whole image has been multi cut and attached with silicone for 3D effect. The inside says.."Have a great Day. Happy Half Century" !!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first Challenge as DT Member at Delicious Doodles  :-D

Now don't get all worried Peeps..... I'm NOT going to go totally dark and creepy on you 'cos Delicious Doodles have tons of fabbo images that are 'normal' and 'pretty', but I will be using some of their scarier ones too.... occasionally...... well, maybe quite often.....  hahaha   Joke xx

Right, I can now say OUR theme for this Challenge No.1  is "Fresh Start" - the idea is to use something new.... easy peasy OK ?
I have used Steampunk images from Delicious Doodles(Shop) - Steampunk paper, Cogs corner and Steampunk corner and I have teamed them with 'Mercius' from Simply Betty. I layered him onto a piece of bubblewrap and them placed my Steampunk corner on top of that with silicone to make it stand up. I cut a separate cog and added '50' to it - as this card is for my friend's birthday - and attached a small piece of black ribbon under it. I also made a little chain from metal staples to dangle at the top. I actually snitched this idea from my friend Sara a.k.a. Eternal Princess Ryan - you can visit her Dark Side Blog HEREor her 'pretty, pretty' Blog which is THERE  :-D

I am well pleased how this came out as it was a bit difficult making a special card for the kind of guy he is, but I reckon he will like this. :-)

Friday 2 September 2011
