PAINT PARTY FRIDAY Wk 9 - YEAR 3

Hello Peeps and welcome to my offering for PAINT PARTY FRIDAY.
This is a portrait of a Harris Hawk that I painted for my husband. He was thinking of getting one of these birds but they are very high maintenance and it's not like to can just ask your neighbour to 'feed + fly the bird' LoL In the end, he just had to make do with a painting :-D

Sorry about the strange bits on the left, but she's already framed up and it's a slight reflection on the glass. !!!

    AMAZING! I love all the intricate detailing on her coat of feathers. I don't have a pet hawk, but I do have a pair of them that nest every year on an oak tree in our back yard. They are spectacular to watch, even though I can't pet them. Blessings!

    This is incredible - what a stunning painting - the detail and the menace and intelligence glinting in his eye - superb! I'm sure your husband was delighted with it. I did laugh at asking the neighbours to 'fly the bird' while you were on holiday!!
