THE NOT SO LUCKY BLACK CAT

Hello peeps,
I hope everyone is keeping safe and well and INDOORS !

Today I have made a little card with a sweet kitty from POLKADOODLES.  He is called " Kitty Cat Get Well ".  I also used one of their backing papers from the Wallflowers collection.

I have made this card to enter the new CLEVER DEXTER CHALLENGE #3 - Struck By Luck.  Well - they didn't specify if it was Good or Bad luck :-)

I have also gone with Green to play with the sketch palette.

I have coloured the kitty with Spectrum Noir markers and made a little sentiment tag. I then fussy cut him and placed him on 3D foamies for some pop.

In my bestest Greek  I have written this as meaning " The clouds will bring rain, but I will be your sunshine".
I have made a wee card to cheer a little Friend of mine :-D

I got this lovely little clear stamp set as a gift from my Friend FIKI from BAD KITTYS CRAFT ROOM. The stamps are small and I usually make big cards, so I must admit that I sat and stared at this set for a long while.
However - FIKI is really very good at making cloud backgrounds on her cards, so I thought I would have a go at that ! Not as good as hers but they came out OK. LoL

I used a die cut for the houses and added some lights in their windows. Obviously not everyone is home yet and the house on the far left in a newly built Greek house that hasn't had any doors or windows put in yet :-D

I stamped and coloured the animals and elements and then fussy-cut them. The raindrops are covered with sticky back plastic to make them 'wet look'.

I don't know who the maker of the little stamp set is as it came with no labels.

Just to let you know - I still have wonderful sunshine here and it was 23 degrees today when I went down to the Town :-D

WEDDING COMMISSION

Hello Peeps - how is your weekend going ?
I have zipped in to show you a wedding card commission I made yesterday. I took inspiration on a picture I saw on Pinterest but it didn't give any credits. I got a link for Scrapbooking Life but that says she saw the picture somewhere and didn't show an original creator.

I cut and made the flowers using assorted dies, and did everything in basic white card stock.

Just got back from delivering it and the big wedding is tonight, so it will be noisy up the mountain later :-D

THE RAIN IN GREECE .......

........ Doesn't stay mainly on the 'plains'  LoL
I tell you Peeps - it has been raining now virtually continuously for 2 days - and I mean serious RAIN !!!  The swimming pool has risen about 8 inches and is only about 1 inch from overflowing !!
That in itself is not of great concern, but after last night's rain, I thought to check the * Sterna under my house. 
* these are underground water storage tanks that collect rain water from the roof for use within the house system. *
Now mine is really huge, but it was only about 4 inches from the very top - which is great for me, but not so great because it doesn't have an overflow built into it and what happens is that it finds it's way through the walls down in the basement, near the ceiling, and directly under that is where the mains electricity fuse box is !! It pours down the wall into the fuse box ! !
I have stuck towels on top and have been pumping water out of the Sterna to stop it coming in any more. The only other time it got this much water was just after I moved into the house and didn't know about what would happen. After 3 days of non-stop rain then, it totally wiped out my electricity system and stayed that way until the fuse box was dried out and fuses replaced ! Ack ! No power for about 3 days and of course, I couldn't run the pump to get rid of some of the water - so I really don't want that to happen again.
I expect we had major floods down in our main town as well. This usually happens when we have downpours anyway. I will try and find you a video if I can :-)

This morning I snagged a gorgeous Freebie digital scrapbook set from PUBLISCRAP FORUM which was soooo right for my weather just now -  so I made this....

The wording I used says: '  Swallow flying low soon, it will rain. ' 

' Rainy day '  and ' The Calm before the Storm'.

WATCH OUT FOR THE WEATHER :-)

Hello Peeps,
Just popping in quickly today with a card for a chum going to Oz.
I mean - I love a bit of sunshine but heat in the 50 + range would do me in !!!

Anyhoo - I have used multiple stamps from DE-STEMPELWINKEL in my creation and part of one of my images called  " Mirror, Mirror " for the crinkly old lady on the inside :-)  
My background is pastels and the images were coloured with Promarkers.
I really messed up my mask + stamp of Alice so I had to stamp her out separately and then stick her on :-(

I am busy getting the photos ready for all the wedding card commission I had recently, so I will post those up tomorrow.

Not feeling quite the 'full shilling' today, so I am going to lay down upstairs and vegitate :-(

FIRST OF THE DAY

Happy Friday and here I am with my first offering of the day. This one is made using an image from a new designer (well, to me anyway). I saw details of the Shop and Challenge on someone else's Blog and went to have a peep. I ended up buying half a dozen or so digi images :-D
This is " Some Bunny Loves You " by SASAYAKI GLITTER.
I have coloured him with Derwent Academy Watercolour Pencils, and have used my new border die and a freebie backing paper from DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES.

Also used: scraps of red and white card

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRIBBLES

Good morning Peeps,
I have popped in to say a Happy 4th Birthday to SCRIBBLES DESIGNS.

They are having a Blog Hop where you could win prizes for commenting and also giving away a piece of Freebie Cake.
I have used the Cake and  " Dog Wash " on my card and also a backing paper from DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES.
I coloured the dog with Promarkers and used some duck tape to paper piece his tin bath and added some Stickles on his bath bubbles.
With the cake, I superimposed some fruit cake on the image and added another candle to celebrate 4 years.

  

Right - I have to whizz off now as I have some other creations on the go and I gotta do it when my Mojo is flowing :-D xxx

GETTING MY MOJO GOING

Hello Peeps,
Well, here we are half way through January and I must admit I haven't been doing much. !! I did a couple of new images for a request but I wanted to get back into some crafting. I have sooooo much stuff that I never even get out of it's packets, so I must give myself a butt kick and start doing things :-)
Today I have eased myself into things gently by making an ATC. I find these are the perfect size to restart my Mojo. I have used the latest Freebie from KNITTY KITTY and he's called a  " FOXICORN "....  isn't that just adorable ? !!
I coloured his horn with gold and silver pens but it doesn't show up that well :-(

FIRST EVER MIXED MEDIA CANVAS :-D

Hi Peeps,
I hope you are having a fabulous crafting weekend. 
I have popped in to show you my first ever Mixed Media canvas. 
It is 10 " x 12 ".
I have been working on this for the last week.
My DD has just turned 30 today and will be coming out to see me in 10 days time, and I have made this as part of her Birthday present stack :-D
The little photo is of her and her Dad ( now deceased) when she was about 1 year old.

I was totally inspired by a piece made by GABRIELLE POLLACCO that I saw on You Tube.
I didn't have half the stuff that she used but I had great fun with what I had.
The frame at the bottom left is made by cutting the same design 8 times from card and sticking all the pieces together, since I don't have any of those chipboard pieces :-)
I made the octopus tentacles with air dry clay. Assorted beads and stuff from my stash and the starfish + shells are from my local beach.
The central shell part was made with rolled out clay and squashing it in an embossing folder.
The background is a mixture of acrylics + paints.

I printed out a vintage picture of a sailing ship (very tiny) and inserted it into a dinky little glass bottle :-)

I am pretty sure my DD doesn't look at my Blog so I should be safe showing this one here :-)

HOW ABOUT A LITTLE CUTESIE CREEPY ?

Well Hellooooooo :-D
I know I haven't been in before during this week, but I have been busy sprucing up garden furniture, drawing new images and some medical schtuff this past week.

I ran out of paint and varnish, so today I am down here playing with my craft stuff.

I have made a little Gothic card for a friend who likes 'cutesie/creepy' and this is what I came up with ...... not too scary but at least she has an eyeball topping on her slightly mouldy cupcake. !! Well - she couldn't have a 'normal' cake cake could she ???!!! LoL

The main image is by ANGIE ADDISON and is called " Daisy May + Cupcake".

The background is made of two images by me at IKEsART - Castle Room and Knight 1.

HIPPY HONKY CAT

Hi Peeps,

Here I am with a piece I have made which has been inspired by the song " HONKY CAT " by Elton John in 1972. :-)
This is a very Hippy Honky Cat as I have given him a psychedelic background and he is a glorious, drug induced pink colour :-D  I suppose he could be called 'Lily' after the song 'Lily The Pink' by The Scaffold in 1968 ....... Showing my age now hahahaha :-D
He has been coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

I was well into my psychedelic period in Art at school at this time and also very much into Elton John :-) Sometimes we were allowed to bring records into art class to play whilst we worked - such a cooooool Teacher we had :-D

This piece really took me back to my school art when I was really into weird patterns and colour block changes etc. LUV it :-)

Oh yeah - and I lived just a few streets away from David Bowie :-D Who'd have known he would become such a mega superstar ?!!!!

This guy is from SLS Lines and he's called 'REBEL CAT'.

BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY

Happy Sunday everyone,
I am trying to find my Mojo recently plus having a massive clear out in the house :-) I had to make a rush card order for a friend yesterday, so at least I had a bit of craft time.
I made this card after being inspired by a gorgeous one made by SABRINA . I have linked up her name so if you click you can visit her :-D

I used an ivy stamp from Dimension Fourth for the background and kind of shadow printed it, and I used the reverse cut out from a die cut at the back. The butterflies are clear stamps from INKYLISCIOUS and everything was stamped with Whispers Archival ink in Rich Plum. Butterflies were coated with Stickles for a bit of bling.

ACK !!! NOT MORE CATS !!!!!

Well - I'll be darned...... Don't you just hate it when a cunning plan totally backfires ?!!!
Since I moved here, the word obviously got about that there was a potential 'crazy cat lady' living up the mountain and, on top of the 6 cats that we took on that went with the house, others have gradually snuck up here and ingratiated themselves upon me.
Only 2 of the original 6 still survive, but since then, a further 10 have arrived in some way or another. :-)
When Spring came and "Kitten Season" started again, I was dreading getting another influx but I thought I had escaped by getting myself the small Houndo Boy and that he would keep other interlopers away. !
This all worked well to plan - with him chasing off any cats that he knew weren't 'his' - until last week when my Daughter and her family were here.
During that time 3 more refugees arrived within the garden. They are attempting to encourage 2 others and the beloved Houndo is just greeting them and letting them walk on by !!!! :-(
It's not that I mind greatly.... you know - 16 cats, 17, 18, 20 cats - hey ho, but one of them is really noisy and is constantly everywhere I go saying 'Meooowww, meooowww' ALL THE TIME, and it's driving me nuts !!
We are now into the 2nd 'kitten season' and I am digging the Moat as we speak  hahahaha :-D 

Well then - here's a little depiction of my situation. Yes - they may well have bought me prezzies and lovely wool in the purest Greek Blue - but enough already or I shall disappear until a mound of furry critters one of these days. !! 

As for Houndo Boy - well, he's just crashed out in his dog bed whilst it is presently 'cat free' and he CAN get in it LoL  :-D
