BACK TO SCHOOL

Good Morning Everyone and Happy Saturday,
This week on Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays our theme is "Back to School" and we are kindly sponsored by Paper Fashions Etc. They gave us some great schooly images and I have used the 'School Lunch Border', and the 'Graphic Text'.  I enlarged a piece of the border to make an extra embellie and I have added my own drawn digi   '1st Day at School KT'. All images were coloured in my graphics package.

I hope you will come over and join us this week.

Hello Peeps,
I am working like mad on loads of ideas you all gave me last week, doing a few different scenes.
I will put this for you this week.... it looks a little jerky on here but prints out really nicely. I haven't had time to do a coloured one.
Next week may be something new - like a whole sheet of bits for do-it-yourself scene kit :-D
Have a great day. xx

THE BOMBSHELL FORUM JULY BLOG HOP

Hello Peeps,
I an a new member to The Bombshell Forum and this is the July Blog Hop. It's a color challenge and here's the colour palette from Design Seeds.
You have the option to make anything with your  Bombshell stamps, as long as you use at least 3 of the colors shown in the sample above or you can use all of them. :-)
Now, being new to Bombshell, I didn't have any of their stamps and it was a little late to order them and get them posted here to sunny Greece. Unfortunately, they are a wee bit short of Digis, so I only got one that I could use... but it's FAB. It's a multi digi with cowboy type embellies :-D
I have used 4 colours - except the pinky one - and have teamed my Bombshell stamps (cacti, fence + cloud), with an image I already had by Dudetime Doodles - Cactus Kirk and I think he fits perfectly. I made a Pop-out Stepper card and the background is a gradient colour from sand to blue (but the blue sky bit is over the back  LoL). I coloured everything in my graphics programme and then cut out multiple images to make things 3D.
and side view .....
I am also entering him for the Inspirational Challenge over at Dudetime Doodles, as he has some of the colours and I took the picture of the desert canyon scene as inspiration.

Do you remember Eric the Zombie (if not he can be found if you look back on here to 13th April)
Anyways, I just got a flash today for a little something for The T&T of Eric Part 2 and I have decided to enter it as my first offering to Haunted Design House - HDH099 "Out, Out Damn Spot !".
My really, proper entry is not dry yet....... ho hum... hurry up....... so I played with this little distraction whilst I wait for it. :-) Both digis are drawn and coloured by me :-)

I am entering Eric for the CES Humour Challenge..... snort :-D

SO ARTFUL - LORD BYRON CHALLENGE

Hello Peeps,

I have just found a great challenge over at So Artful Challenges - they give you a portrait of Lord Byron to use as inspiration for a project. I decided to mess with him and make him one of my range of Skellie Art that I am currently working on. :-D
The words are an excerpt from his poem "Darkness".
Sorry about this pikkie - my graphics programme seems to have made it blurry and pixelated it all on it's own..... gonna have to fix that and might re-post the pikkie later :-)

OOOPS ..... FREEBIE FRIDAY 11 :-D

Hi Everyone,
So sorry ... it's been a bit wierd here and I forgot to put up the Freebie.
How about a little Hillbilly Shack ?????

SKETCHES ON THE BRAIN !!

Here I am again with another Sketch - this one is for the FETCH A SKETCH Challenge 2, which is a fairly new venture by Jenny & Ruth. If you love working with Sketches then this is the place to go.
This time the sponsor is Dudetime Doodles, who I had the pleasure of being Guest DT for earlier this year. I have used 'Hippy Rocker'. I coloured him in my graphics programme and I paper pieced his trousers. The background is by Susan Godfrey from her City Spring kit and the wavy sentiment is by Cinda Alspaugh.

I am entering him for the July Insprirational Challenge at Dudetime Doodles, so it's like he is going home !! :-D                Oh,  and don't miss this..............

NEVERMORE

Hello Peeps,

It's Dark Side Day today as I am doing Challenges and the Blog Hop at the Smudged & Smeared Forum.  The very talented Steph is hosting the Guest DT Challenge and she has showed us how to make a really cool resist backing paper using waxed paper and inks. You can see the TuT here. Anyways, one small problemo was that I can't get waxed paper here in Greece. Some of my Forum chums offered to send me some from the US, but I just couldn't wait and had to mess around with some candles. I managed to produce a pretty cool effect with melted wax and plastic baggies so I went ahead and made my creation.
I used basic cardstock and printed some really dark maroon onto it which I then scratched with sandpaper and smeared black ink over that. My waxy backing was made on glossy photopaper - also in maroon and black and then I printed the netting over the top of it all using Aspects of Design 1 - Flora rubber stamp set from The Stamp Man. Aaaaarrrrgggghh - rubber ..... had to put the plastic gloves on for that then  or else I'd have no skin left!!!!!
Enough already,.......... I stuck this onto a piece of back card with a torn edge which was inked in a gooey maroon ink. I say gooey 'cos it seems to have melted in the heat here including the spongy bit and is just a thick, cruddy mess that smells like lipstick, but - hey - it still works for me.   The  Raven image was printed 4 times and cut out to make a 3D image but I 'feathered' the edge to make him more...well.... feathery !! hahahaha
Gosh - I'm going on..... then I stuck on some Velvet Hydrangeas from Petaloo and a couple of leaves that I painted black to fit my scheme, a tassle and a piece of fibre from my stash. Oh and I slapped in there somewhere a piece of red plastic netting stuff that you get from a fruit baggie... you know ?? ... like you get oranges in ?? .... except I don't 'cos I'm allergic to them too.... but let's not go here :-D    Oh yeah - did I mention about the extra bloody bit I did on the raven with some ink ??   The sentiment tag is from Nana Vic's Digitals  and I added some words from the wonderful Mr Poe. :-)  Woah.... pause for breathe... here it is.........

SMEARED & SMUDGED MEMBERS JULY BLOG HOP

Hello Everyone,
We are having another Blog Hop over at Smeared & Smudged, and if you've arrived here from Helen then you're on the right track.
Want to know what our theme is?Your challenge this time around is to ALTER SOMETHING! The rule is it has to be something three dimensional; so a book, a bag, a box etc etc. Also, don't forget the S&S rule that is has to be stamped somewhere (digis are fine).
I have used a plastic carton that my egg candling lamp came in. I know it's not very exciting but I am pretty new to this altering stuff thing !! There's about a 3/4 inch gap between the back and the 'screams' frame  and I wanted to try and shine a light from the side but the effect was crap, so I ditched that idea.
Anways, I have made a mock-up of the Laughing Cavalier by Frans Hals, and a Cenobite from the film "Hellraiser" as I am also going to enter this for the 'Oh, The Horror' Challenge over at Smeared & Smudged. I have melded the new face into an image of the original painting, but left his moustache and beard ... snort. :-D I then printed it 4 times or so and 3D'd certain parts to give some depth. I made a quicky digi of the Scream mask to make a frame, so that's 2 films isn't it ??? Anyhow, the plastic container is see through so they look like they are floating in front !! :-D

I did a close up so you can see him better ....

Here's the  Blog Hop list so's you can go round and see the other brilliant creations and please leave everyone some love  :-D Thanks for stopping by. Next stop Fiona.

BOOKMARK

Me again,
Over at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays, our Challenge this week is to create a Bookmark and our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps .
I used a delightful little image called "Desiree Sitter" and placed her on some floral backing card. I stuck her down but left her legs free so that they poke over the top of the page. She was coloured in my graphics programme. Corners were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you will come over and play. :-D

CHRISTMAS IN JULY !!!

Happy Saturday Peeps,

Today over at Simply Create we have Challenge 48 - Christmas in July. I have used "Santi Beaches" by Dude Time Doodles and set him against a beach scene I made with papers and elements from a huge scrapbook kit called Summer Island from Digi Design Resort.

I cut out Santi and stuck him with silicone to make him pop out and also did the same with the sentiment tag. He looks well cool doesn't he ? We spent the day on the beach yesterday and had a fab, relaxing time chilling with friends. I actually went out paddlling a canoe for the very first time !! :-) I hope you will come over and join us.

FREEBIE FRIDAY 10

Good morning Folks,

Well, I had a disaster this morning (6am here). I was doing a digi of the church my parents were married in - it's not there now... they knocked it down and built appartments.... shocking eh ???!!!!  Anyways, I had nearly got it finished when my Programme decided it was going to shut down and it ate the lot !!!!!!!!!  The air turned blue here I can tell you. :-(

So, this week I have for you a digi in PNG - that's why it's on this slightly squiffy white background..... otherwise you can't see it on this black Blog  hahahaha  :-D .  If anyone wants it in JPG or  has a request for an image next week  - please let me know. ??? There is also another Freebie from me over at CDAC in my Group HERE.

IMAGE REMOVED AND PUT BACK IN SHOP

Well, I'm off to the beach now as it's already 38 degrees and only 0730  !!!!!!!!  Far too hot to be in the studio today ...............  Byeeeee

ANIMAL PRINTS

Today I have made this project for the First Challenge Celebration over at Challenges by AR. This is a new Blog I have found and I really fancied this one. The theme is "Animal Prints" and you must make a 3D Project or Shaped Card using an animal print. I have made this Pillow Box Door Hanger with the FREEBIE  Template that is being offered by Challenges by AR. :-D
The zebra print paper I already had and I just printed the Template onto it and cut it out. I made a tag using one of my own Digi images and made a double bow with black and white ribbons on the bow maker my DH made for me :-)   I have showcased the piece next to one of the animals I make as money boxes or figures. (He is quite big so I had to scale him down a bit to go with this project).

I'M NOT SQUARE

Good afternoon All,

I have made a card for the Forever Friends Challenge - 'Not Square', which is being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps. I made a zig-zag card (template by Carol Dunne) - for this one, so it's definitely NOT square. :-)  I have made this card using 'Baby Fae' and Garden Fairies - Green Leaf Paper,  from SBS and an FF Bear at the front. The rest of the animals on the card are embellishments from a lovely set by Catia Cunha which is called "Safari Kit". It's actually a scrapbooking kit but I often use these on cards.

I put two shots on so you can see the dinky little Giraffe peeping out on the r/h side :-D
I used leaves cut out from one of the backing papers in this kit - printed onto card - for the leafy embellishments.
This card was an order so I really hope she likes what I produced.

SSDS COLOUR THEME CHALLENGE

This week on Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays our theme is a Colour Challenge, and we are sponsored by Veronica of Circle B Enterprises. She will be giving away a $20.00 credit in her store.  :-)

Now onto the challenge which is a colour theme - Cream, Brown and 1 other colour. For my card I have used elements and papers from the "Sweet Harmony" range by Pascalea of Scrapwedo at Digi Design Resort, and my other colour is Pink.

I printed out one of the elements 4 times and decoupaged it for added depth. The border was done with a Martha Stewart punch.

XTREMELY XHAUSTIVE

Hello Dark Side Peeps,

This week on Haunted Design House , the Challenge is to use something looooooooooong so I have invented  Long, Tall, Latex Lovin', Sally  with her loooooong, barbed, cat-o-nine-tails. She is on a loooooong DL card and has some appropriate backing paper (snort )and some looooong-ish barbed wire to decorate :-D  I'm going to make a little hook for her and use her as a door handle hanging....... like "Do Not Disturb"..... or more like "I Am Disturbed"..... hahahahahaha

Here's one a bit closer....

Anyways - catch you later xxxx

POTTED LOVE

Happy Sunday Everyone,
Here is a little something I am entering for the Delicious Doodles DT spot. I have used their "Potted Horror" on the inside and a fabulous little Freebie from Dowdy Doodles called 'Pot of Love'.  I like the way the images  are complete opposites... snort :-)

I coloured the images in my graphics programme and 3D'd them onto some purple card which I put through my Sizzix and then distressed it. The base card is pale lemon cardstock. (Funny how it comes out a different shade in 2 separate photos !!!  b****r   :-(   but it is the same card... honest..... gotta make myself a light box !! )   Little bitty, baby, cutesy roses ( awww bless) from my stash  :-D
The entry is supposed to reflect my style and personality..... well, this does not necessarily reflect my style 'cos I'm not sure I found it yet, but I think it's a pretty good representation of my kinda sick sense of humour  bwahahahahaha :-D

FOREVER FRIENDS IN STRIPES

Hello Everyone,
This month at Forever Friends & Co Monthly Challenge, our Theme is STRIPES, and we are sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads.

I have used 'Bench Bears' from DDD, which I coloured in my graphics programme,  and have teamed it with papers and elements from Peppermint Creative's  "Love Muffin" set.
I hand cut a tag for my bears and used a Martha Stewart punch for the border and hearts on the tag.

At Forever Friends & Co Challenge now, you DON'T have to use an FF Bear but you MUST use an animal, so it's even easier to play now. Why not come over and join us. :-)

DAY FOR DAISIES

A Day for Daisies  have a new release out today called 'The Tiny Ones' and they are sooo sweet. There is also a gorgeous Freebie  by Tammy, to be used in Challenge 21 - Pastels but NO Pink.
I have made this little creation using Tammy's free digi. I cut this geometric backing out the other day on my Craft Robo but hadn't decided what to use it for. I stuck it onto a blue/lilac graduated colour backing. I coloured the little digi in my graphics programme and then printed her 3 times to decoupage her. The base layer I left oblong and gently chalked a fine edge around it in pale blue. I then used my Sizzix to cut some flower shapes in varying shades of blue/lilac. I think the geometric pattern and the softness of the flowers works quite well. It's a pity the colour graduation doesn't show up so well and this is my 6th photo !!!!!

STARS & STRIPES

Hello Everyone,

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all my faithful Followers who are celebrating this weekend. I hope you have a great time and that the weather is kind to you. xx
This week over at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays, our theme is Stars and Stripes. I have put together this scrapbook page using a kit by Daisy Trail. I know it's a bit of a cheat from me as I usually make a card, but I have had a bad week healthwise and I just don't seem to have the energy/inspiration to produce anything. !!  I snitched a couple of photos from the web to put in - the Statue of Liberty and fireworks at the Washington Memorial.  I had such awful trouble with this, trying to get it out of the programme into a publishable form that I didn't think I would ever get it published, but here we are.

I hope you will pop over to SSDS and play along with us  - maybe you will have some awesome photos from your weekend parties that you can share with us. ?

SILHOUETTE CHALLENGE

Good Morning,

Time for another Challenge at Simply Create and this time our theme is SILHOUETTES.
I have made this easel card with drawer and a box to put it in.
The Swans are a GSD by Linda Griffiths from the Crystal Dreams CD, which I cut on my Craft Robo (having dragged her out of the cupboard and blown the dust off her :-D !!) . They are cut in 4 layers and I printed each one on a slightly different shade of black (with a hint of red) until the top layer which is completely black. The base card I have put them on is a kit from the Crafty Gals which is called 'Pink Rose Box Easel'. It's a bit fiddly to cut out in places and is printed on a lot of sheets of card but I love it. I stuck extra pieces inside the drawer and box to make them stronger. The flowers are a 5 layer decoupage.
