HOG LOVE + A BIT OF EXTREME SILLINESS !!

Hello Peeps,
I just adore Hedgehogs... and would you believe I actually saw a couple last year and I didn't know we actually had them here on my little Greek island :-D 
I recently snagged a freebie Valentine's Hedgie from SPYDER and today I have just snagged her latest Wednesday FREEBIE - a lovely little toadstool house with the cutest little snail on top. The image is called "One Little Toadstool".  Then... I just got this very silly idea, so off I went to create and here it is .....

I hope this will give her a giggle :-D

I am very excited to be showing you today my 12 New images and to be announcing our BLOG HOP over at IKE'sWORLD CHALLENGES to showcase them.
The Design Team have done some absolutely fantastic creations with the New Images and I have even done one myself :-D

I have used 'Mermaid' for this piece and this is a totally digital piece coloured in PSE9. This new Mermaid image is not as scary as my other one in the Shop LoL

Hello Viewers and welcome to the January Blog Hop from the SMEARED INK DESIGN TEAM.  You should have arrived here by way of the fabulous SHONI. 
This month our Theme was an Anything Goes/Your Favourite Smeared Ink Image and I have gone for "Dead Dancer Pointing"  Digi single from Smeared Ink of course :-)

I have used her and her partner "Dead Dancer Falling" many times in the past and these are soooo versatile because you can just change the colour of the dress to suit any project you are doing !! :-D  Brilliant !!!.

Here are two cards I made using different colourways......

As you can see, they give a totally different effect. I added some bits and bobs from my paper and lace stash and some hand made stick pins.

VALENTINE's AGAIN !!! WOT ?????

Me again today,
I decided to play in the A DAY FOR DAISIES Challenge #88 ... "PINK & RED" and they were giving away a lovely little image.... a girl and her puppy which is called 'Hot Coco', and the puppy is carrying the Marshmallows !! :-D
Now I don't like cocoa or marshmallows, but I do like hot chocolate and maybe they would have the same effect in there ?? N'est Pas ??!!

So - here is my card..

I have been raiding the snippets box again, from Valentine's Day last year... I didn't make many here in Greece as they don't seem to be inclined to be mushy and send cards !!!

I printed the little image onto card twice and then coloured the little doggy and cut him out to match the top of the tag. I thought I would try something different again and do a sort of 'spotlight' on him :-)

The Challenge also calls for using pink and red, so I've covered that, and the little dog could be 'love struck' with his marshmallows or his mistress, and she could feel the same about cocoa  eh ?!!

Isn't it nice to get to use a Freebie from someone once in a while. I don't often get to play with them and then sometimes I go on a digi binge and use loads, so watch this space !!! SPYDER has just given out another one, so he might be coming up next hee hee  xxxx

SCRIBBLES' 100 CELEBRATION

Happy Sunday Peeps,
This weekend SANDY of  SCRIBBLES BY SANDY fame is celebrating 100 Followers over at the SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGE BLOG . To celebrate, there is a Challenge and Sandy is giving away this delightful little Hedgehog to play along with.

I have coloured him up using Promarkers and then cut him out to make a 3D image. I cut the heart out from hand coloured paper and then put his hands back over the top.
The card was made with snippets of paper from my stash and some die cut swirls and leaves. I threaded some paper through a border and then made a rose, and I inked it's edges for some added tone.

RUDOLPH DAY - JANUARY 2014

Aaaaarrrrgggggh !!! Can you believe how fast January is rushing by us ??!!!! It's RUDOLPH DAY  again and if you don't know what this is by now, it is the brainchild of Sarn over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE, where we all get together in cyberspace for the 25th of each month leading up to Christmas, and we make cards. The idea is that we don't have a last minute mad dash to get them done. This year Sarn has decreed that we must make 2 or more to enter Rudolph Day and so here are mine.

I used a ton of snippets and stuff out of my "bits box" and just about knackered a sewing needle :-D The Reindeer were die cuts given to me by a friend and I stamped over the top of them. I used a Martha Stewart punch and some Distress Inks by TH. The basic cards I already had festering in a box for years as I wasn't sure I liked the crinkle cut edges (I know I could cut round them to make them straight... I know !!!!)

So there we are - at least I am in the Challenge this month and there are 2 adorable little stamps to be won, so why not pop over and play along at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.

WEEK 3 OVER AT IKE'sWORLD CHALLENGES

Hello Peeps,
It's Week 3 over at IKE'sWORLD CHALLENGES - now I know we are normally fortnightly but we are all revved up and raring to go for our BLOG HOP - scheduled for Tuesday 28th JANUARY 2014 - where I shall be releasing 12 new images and the DT Girls have totally excelled themselves in creating projects using the new stuff. You just wait 'til you see their pieces !!!!!! I am sooooo excited.  :-D  :-D

So, this week being kinda' blank, I decided to throw one of mine in just to give you something to look at :-)  We don't want people waiting saying where's the IKE'sWORLD CHALLENGE now do we ??? LoL

Here's my little 'filler' concoction using 'Saucy Steampunk' - and this is a totally digital piece constructed in PSE9.

HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE MACABRE MONDAY HDH 180 - FRESH BLOOD TEAM B

Hello Folks and welcome to week to of MACABRE MONDAY HDH 180 over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE with  week 2 of our Challenge theme 'FRESH BLOOD'.

I have done another couple of pages in my converted camera instruction book, that I am turning into a sort of Journal :-)

I found a bit of scrapbooking paper and stuck that onto one side. I didn't have a big enough piece for the left side, so I tore it up into pieces and stuck them on randomly on that side. Then I swiped it with a coat of Gesso to tone the left side down a bit.

I printed the image onto a background I had made using a 'Brush' from Studio Suzy Q Scraps from her 'North Pole Rub-Ons' set.  This was one of her freebies from July last year. I altered the colour to a dark blood colour.

I then coloured another copy of the image in PSE and then print and cut it out and stuck it onto the original background. Now, I can't remember where this image comes from, so if anyone klnows, then maybe they can let me know ?

I typed out my words using a font called 'A Lolitta Scorned' and then cut up the words. The phrase is by Calvin Trillin and it just made me giggle.  :-D

For those who are not Jewish... 'SCHMALTZ'  is clarified chicken fat we use in cooking instead of butter or lard since butter is a dairy product and that can't be eaten with meat, and lard comes from pork - which we don't eat. We also use the word as meaning 'overly sentimental' or  slushy lovey dovey.... I'm sure you know what I mean. :-D

Now you know already that Smudgy Antics Blog has closed , so now everything is happening in the SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM and we have many Challenges, Workshops, Tutorials and all sorts of fun stuff going on over there, so why not pop over and join us.
I can tell you that there are some AWESOME creations in the Photo Gallery.... just breathtaking stuff, so if you are in need of a bit of inspiration, then pop over HERE.
I've got some videos in the Mixed Media University too if you want a laugh :-D  My Teamies in there have been busy showing you tips and techniques, and you can see them  HERE.
