A BIT OF WINTER FUN

Hello Peeps,
I am starting to think about getting some Chrimbo cards done and whilst browsing the Blog Challenges, I came across the latest SCRIBBLES CHALLENGE #71 - REINDEER GAMES and it just gave me an idea.
Now, I LUV me some Scribbles and I am especially fond of the Wool family - so how could I not resist dressing them up for the occasion hahaha.
I have used Mr Wool Smiley , Woolley Chorus Line and the Freebie Rudy for my card.
They all look very jolly dressed as Reindeer, but I don't think that Rudy is very impressed LoL :-D

JOURNAL JOTTING

I decided to play with some more SCRIBBLES, since I had got the folder open and came across a sweet BunnyChick and some bunnies and got this very silly idea....................

I covered my journal page is some teeny Easter egg paper and edged it with lime green ink. Then I used some stamps by La Blanche at the corners and bottom edge, using dark green ink. The stamps are NBUS that were sent to me by a crafting friend and I really like these :-)

SOME CARDS

I fancied doing some Challenges yesterday and having a browse through my stamps and images to see what took my fancy and fitted with the challenges.

My first one uses a new set of stamps from PINK & MAIN.     The set is called " FurEver " and you get a cat, a dog and a teddybear. You have to buy the stamps for the faces separately - they have about 4 different packs.

My backing is a new set of papers which were a Freebie from FAR FAR HILLS and this set is gorgeous and is called ' Spring Day '.
The weather is lovely here - all the birds are singing and the trees budding and the Almond blossoms are amazing. I really felt like Spring yesterday, so I used these lovely sunny papers.

I stamped my cat onto a piece of one of the background papers and made a heart to stamp the sentiment. The cat stamp was enhanced using Spectrum Noir markers for the shadows etc. and I added some white pen for eye shine as they looked a bit 'blank' left as they were.

My second card features digi images from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY and I have used " Hang 10 Brr " and  " Dog House ".

Rather than surfing the sea, he is having a go at snow surfing LoL   :-D

I don't have any of that white puffy stuff people use for snow, so I went with thick glitter. It looks ok and gives a real good frosty look on the ground :-)

The images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and Brr was popped up with some foamies.

The backing card was some from my stash and I used a Silhouette cutting file for the icicles.

This card is part of my pledge this year to use Freebies when I take them, and not just snatch and store ! hahaha
I have used the latest Freebie from SCRIBBLES DESIGNS and paired it with another of Sandy's images called " Foxy Peek A Boo ".
The background papers are a new Freebie set I got too from FAR FAR HILL and it's called " Baiser Romantique ", which I think is French for Romantic Kiss.

* Dang !!! I just realised I was going to colour in the twisty bits of the Lippy with my silver pen and I completely forgot :-( So - those 2 white bits should be silver !!!

HAVE YOU EVER STOPPED TO THINK ........?

Well, it's me again today.
I was thinking recently that I pick up loads of Freebies along my Blog browsing and stash them away on my EHD, but then don't use them. So - I have made myself a little pledge to start sorting through and getting them out to use.

This one is new, however, and is from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY and is the FREEBIE for this current Challenge - 'BOYS WILL BE BOYS'. I've already slapped one entry in but - having taken the marbles freebie - I decided to do another, pretty deep and thoughtful creation.
Without further ado, here it is..............

The Marbles are from SCRIBBLES, the background is from DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES - called MLT Night Sky 2 and the hand and Earth are  by ME ( I drew it for this creation). 

I added a swirl effect to the backing paper and the marbles were coloured in PSE 9. The hand was coloured with Prismacolour pencils blended with baby oil. 

Now, I hope it fits with the Challenge theme ? I know Boys like to play with marbles and this is a very BIG Boy playing with these :-D

I'm off to walk the dog now, so that's probably all from me today :-)

SUMMER FUN

I am hiding down in my craft basement because it's just too darn hot outside today. It made me think of being youngsters again - when we didn't seem to feel the heat so much. I was always out in every ray of sunshine cooking my tan LoL So, here I am with my little summer ATC. 

I used my De-Stempelwinkel stamps and also a little beach set with starfish which was a freebie from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY. The background paper is from Carena.

I distressed the edges and then added some Starfish Promarker around it. The main images were coloured with Promarkers and Prismacolour Pencils.

Hello again,
Here I am with my latest ATCs for Shirley's NOVEMBER ATC SWAP over at MY CRAFTS.
The Theme this month is FLAGS and I opted to use Greek influences for my design (of course) !!! LoL
Here is my ATC - I made - and little envies for them to go in to keep them nice :-)

The picture is a bit off-centre cuz I had to edit out the Christmas ones that I have made for December which I sent at the same time :-D 

These are the ones I made for OCTOBER - I forgot to post them here. The Theme then was BEACHES.

I am here with another Halloween creation - and I have on previous 'gored-up' just an ordinary little image, and I have done that again this time LoL
This week's Friday Freebie from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY is a great digi of a Pitcher & Drink, which will be useful for numerous occasions, but I thought with Halloween coming up, I would turn it into something a monster might serve - so I call this one Frightnite Cocktail Recipe :-D

I have set the Scribbles image on a background made up using a digital kit - "Mini Halloween Kit" by DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES, and  Lisa's Freebie Follower 'blobs' you can find HERE.

I am having a Challenge day today and just messing about coaxing my Mojo out to play.
So - this is a soft and squidgy moment with this cute lil' puppy that I got from IMAGINE THAT on their FB page... it's called "Puppy Chaise".
I coloured him up and then 'paper pieced' his sofa with some freebie papers from Cardmaking & Papercraft. The backgrounds are the free papers too.
The Sheep are from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY.

I have used Sketch #327 from Sketch Saturday.

And there we are. :-D

SCRIBBLES' 100 CELEBRATION

Happy Sunday Peeps,
This weekend SANDY of  SCRIBBLES BY SANDY fame is celebrating 100 Followers over at the SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGE BLOG . To celebrate, there is a Challenge and Sandy is giving away this delightful little Hedgehog to play along with.

I have coloured him up using Promarkers and then cut him out to make a 3D image. I cut the heart out from hand coloured paper and then put his hands back over the top.
The card was made with snippets of paper from my stash and some die cut swirls and leaves. I threaded some paper through a border and then made a rose, and I inked it's edges for some added tone.

Hello and Happy Saturday,

I popped in to say that today I have glorious sunshine and full electricity - which is soooooo good after the traumas of this week !! :-)
Anyway.... last week I really needed a digi stamp of a toilet and I thought I had seen one at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS but I couldn't find it. Well _ I contacted Sandy to ask her if I had seen it and she told me there never was one.... BUT drew me one specially :-D      How coooool is that ??!!!!

I wanted to enter the latest challenge over at CREATIVE CORNER CHALLENGES.... 'Sing a Song'... to make a creation inspired by a song. So I have made something to go with "Ode to the Toilet (Put that Toilet Seat Down)" by Brad Paisley :-) If you've never heard it you can go here ....  www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIiFGTwkm1I

I typed out the words of the song and printed them in green for my backing. I edged the card with distress ink. I fussy cut the toilet and the froggie and coloured them with Copics.  They are put on with 3D foam pads for extra pop :-)

I just realised that it's MO-vember again........ not that I have any intention of trying to grow one bwaahahahaha !!!

I had a silly idea using one of Sandy's Sheep from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY  - he's Mr Wool and I have added him a Moustache which is also by Sandy :-D

I used the left over bits from die cuts as stencils for the flowers and orange ink pads for my background. The webby circle is by DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES and is part of the Mini Halloween Kit.

ATCs WITH ATTITUDE - BACK TO SCHOOL

Hello Peeps - me again,
This is another of my ATC creations for the latest Challenge #48 - Back To School over at ATCs WITH ATTITUDE  ..... which is soon to become CRAFTITUDE... as they are expanding to encompass ALL types of crafting. The sponsor this time is QKR STAMPEDE and I got some of there's the other day. I didn't have any of their cool school teacher ones though, so I had to adapt and get creative with what I had. Anyways - this is what I came up with.

The backing is part of 1st Day of School CU Kit Clipart4Resale  available at Allclipart.info Shop the kitty is from QKR and the crayon is by SCRIBBLES DESIGNS. It is part of the Freebie they are offering at the moment for their latest Challenge. I asked Sandy if I could use just one crayon from the image and she not only said 'Yes' but she sent me a digi with just a single crayon :-D She's awesome !! xx The sentiment on the crayon reads...."So much to learn - so little time", but I forgot how small it would be on an ATC....pfffttt !!! LoL  I covered mthe crayon with gloss to make it look waxy :-)

OMGoodness - I completely forgot to put my post up on my piece for HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE this week !!! Where is my brain off to this week I ask myself !!!?????  Our theme this time is "NAILED IT" and here's what the info says....

Welcome to the new Macabre Monday challenge,

Nailed It!!!

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en 

based art piece that contains pins or nails of one sort or another.
You can use straight pins, safety pins,carpentry nails, nail heads, or fingernails.
Whatever, as long as it's nail related in some way.

Let's take a peek inside the dungeon and see what the Minions have
nailed together for this challenge.

Well, My piece is not exactly Halloween but it's certainly dark and Macabre :-D bwahahahaha !!!  It was the piece I started making on my little YouTube Video for the mixed media DT try-out for Smeared & Smudged - they're going to start a new DT section for Mixed Media videos.
Anyhoo - I mounted it onto some polystyrene so I could stick more pins in around the edge and then I 'basket wove' some red twine round the pins.

I ended up calling it the 'EWE-TOPSY'........ coz it is a ewe and it makes you go eeeeeeeewe !!!   LoL  The Sheep on the top is "Mr Wool-oon" from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY and the sheep underneath is part of the "Killer Bo Peep" set by SMEARED INK. Font used is called 'Blood'.

OOOOH !! SOMETHING NEW

Well Good Morning and Happy Monday Peeps,
I have something new for you today......a VIDEO hee hee.

Now this was made as I am going to try out for the new  Mixed Media University Design Team call over at SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM/SMEARED INK STAMPS 

Here's some info about it....

Mixed Media University Design Team member art tutorials will be featured in the Smeared and Smudged Forum Mixed Media University group. We are looking for artists who have great personalities, who can relay their ideas and techniques well through video tutorials, and who have a genuine interest in teaching, sharing, and mentoring others. We are looking for individuals with vibrant personalities and various stamping styles. No prior DT experience is necessary to apply.

Now - I have never done anything like this before, so I hope you won't be too hard on me :-)  I did it using my WebCam coz I thought there was no point in spending my hard earned pennies on a Video camera if I don't actually need one yet. !!  It was OK but it looked much better on my screen, but hey-ho.

A PINK BLOKE LoL

Me again,

I have been playing around with 'FRANK' - a fabulous chap from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY.
I know he's a fairly 'manly' pink chap but I had some snippets left over from a kit and decided to go all pink with him :-D I think though that he still looks a pretty fancy Guy :-)

A LITTLE GREEK WHIMSY

I'm back again......
Here is a little piece I have done for a couple of Challenges after having been inspired by LISA over at DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES. She's on a couple of DTs and made a creation that got me started :-D
Now, I LUV Scribbles by Sandy and especially CARL... so I just had to use a new one I got of him called "Cool Carl". I have coloured him with Copics and cut him out to 3D him on foamies.
He is set against a backdrop of Greece and the colours are in the colours of the National Flag. The doilies are to represent the fabulous lace made here in Greece.
I have followed a sketch from Digi Darla's Challenges for this piece.

LIFE IS SOMETIMES A CROCK OF.......... !!!

Hello Peeps,
I hope those that are celebrating their Easter are having a good time. I really miss Hot Cross Buns - you know, the really stodgy ones in packets from the supermarket.. not the shiny crusty ones from the bakers :-D

So today, I have a small offering for you - probably only one coz I am feeling a bit "Bleh !!" so I am going to hack my nails all off and go work in the garden before it becomes a bigger jungle.

I got some new images from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY and I have used two of them today to make a shaped card. I cut round the trash can after printing to make the shape :-)

SHADES OF RED

Hello again,
Over at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGES, the theme this time is 'SHADES OF RED'. The other day I won some images from Scribbles by Sandy and I really love her 'Mr Woolly' images so I got two more......... "Chorus Line" and "Mr Wool Smiley".
Now when I was looking at Chorus Line this afternoon, I was hit by a really silly idea that I just had to run with....... they made me think of the Folies Bergere. Whilst preparing all my pieces for a card, I started looking for a Windmill but couldn't find anything on the Folies site. So, I says to Hubs "Why can't I find a picture of the Windmill for the Folies Bergere ?"......... "Coz it's at the Moulin Rouge", says He.... "Oh, bum" says I.... "Never mind then". Hubs asked me what I wanted it for and I showed him the Sheep. He looks at me like I was mad and went off for a shower.
A while later he comes in.... "This woman running the Challenge, - will she have a smattering of Schoolgirl French ??!!!"
 "Don't know" says I ... "Maybe. Why do you ask ?!!" 
 "I just had a brainwave", He says..... "Will she know what the French word for sheep is..... coz it's 'Mouton'.... you know.... Mouton Rouge..... hahahahahaha ....... Get it ?.... It's a play on words...!!!!" 
 "OMG - Genius", says I and off I went to get another sheep.

So......... after all my ramblings... I give you....................

THE FOLIES BAaaaa-GERE...............

"Chorus Line" was printed 4 times and then I fussy cut the sheep so that the line sat on top of the one below - less one sheep - up to the end..... if you catch my drift ?!!  Then I added some feathers and made a Folies banner. This is a step card.

And next......... "Le Moulin MOUTON ROUGE"  hahahahahaha !! LOL
