WOT ARE TWINCHIES ?!!!

Hello again Peeps,
I have heard lots about Twinchies, and other weird thingies but wasn't sure what they were until I went over to Sarn's Blog today.... STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.. where she had made one for a Challenge.  It was like a "Derrrrr !!!" moment when I realised it mean - 'Two Inch' creations !!!!
I thought I would give it a go and also break out one of my new Stampin' Up sets.... 'Betsy's Blossoms'.
Well, Sarn is always an inspiration to me when I am in 'Cutesy/Normal Mode' LoL...  so I produced this..............

I coloured up my flower stamp with Marvy Brush Markers and stamped directly onto my card. Then I did the same with the leaves and cut them out. They were then given a hint of Stickles and layered on there with foam pads to make them pop out. The little bee is from 'Cute as a Bug' digi set from Carley's Digi Scraps, and it was a free kit that she gave away daily all through February :-D

Then I wrote my little sentiment with a fine tip pen. :-)

This is my first 'Twinchie' and I'm not sure that these things wouldn't make you got blind if you did too many hahahaha. Anyhoo - I dedicate this one to Sarn - a source of inspiration :-D xxx

EASTER BUN BUN :-)

 I've caught the Bug.... Have you ????!


Over at CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE the other day, Naomi gave away a free image for Easter called "BUN BUN BINGES".
He's a fine little chap and although I don't do Easter, I thought I would colour him up and make a little card.
I coloured him with Copics and cut him out. The background is an Easter egg paper I got free a couple of years ago. I used a die cut for the fancy bit at the bottom and threaded it with some matching ribbon. Then - because Bun Bun is eating his sweeties - I used some sweetie wrappers to make flowers down the side :-)
I hope Naomi likes him :-D

Ooooh - just seen Naomi has a new release....Bellina MacBunny...

Well - the ships came in Thursday so we now have supplies AND more importantly... Post :-D
I got the most amazing Happy Mail from one of my Teamies and BFs..... BLACK DRAGON.  We had a Secret Sister Valentine gift swap over at SMEARED & SMUDGED and I was sooooo lucky to be the recipient of a gift from BD, BUT I was so not expecting this. !!!!!  :-D 
This is gonna be a post filled with photos coz  I got sooo many goodies. This woman makes the most amazing things and I am so proud and honoured to now own some. Without further ado... feast your eyes on these........................

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY WEEK 52

Hello Peeps,
Here is my offering for PAINT PARTY FRIDAY - WEEK 52.
This was a table I painted for a friend who is a magician, to use here for his shows.  I used a mixture of acrylics by hand and some airbrushing for this and then covered the top in blue felt. It all comes apart and the front panels are hinged so that it folds flat. :-D

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST 19..... ANYTHING POES

Sheesh - I have had such a day with the damned internet.... I suppose it could be the weather or the fact that it's a National Holiday here on my little Greek island - but it's driven me nuts !!!
At last here I am with the deets about Quest 19 over at QUOTH THE RAVEN...... this time we are doing "ANYTHING POES" .  Now that means you can make anything you like but it MUST be related some how to Edgar Allan POE and his works in order to be eligible for the Prize. We'd love you to pop over and have a look and play along with us :-D
Firstly let me congratulate our Winner from Quest 18..... Anna Lilja and our Top 3..... Louise M, Wendy of  Paper Whims and Vee. Many congrats Girls and thank you all for playing.

Here is my DT piece for this Quest - a Steampunk Poe clock that I made from an old CD andthe base is a disk from an angle grinder :-D

LACY CHALLENGE

Hello Peeps,
This week I found the LACY SUNSHINE Challenge Blog and Lexie is giving a Freebie with which to enter. It is Terry the Triceratops and Pickles :-D  The Challenge is called 'Double Trouble' and it's to make a project with 2 people or animals or one of each having an adventure. I couldn't resist Terry and his froggy chum so I coloured them up and set them against one of my digis.... Jungle.
I coloured my Jungle but when I went to put T&P on it I thought it was a little too bright and detracted from the main image so I faded it down a bit.

Hello Saturday Peeps :-D
I have just finished off a project for the upcoming QUEST 19 over at QUOTH THE RAVEN  (6th March) and, whilst I am waiting for it to dry so I can photograph it and get ready, I decided to play around with some new images I bought from DOODLE PANTRY last night :-)
I just couldn't resist these fluffy little fellows and whipped up something to enter the latest Challenge. I already had the BirdieBat :-D 

The set I used is called 'Fuzzy Duckling' and comes with the fabbo backing papers too :-) You can get one yourself from the Shop HERE.

The 'Boo' sentiment comes with 'Birdie Bat' but the ducky one I made up myself coz I was in a silly mood !! :-D

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY WEEK 51, YEAR 2

I really look forward to PAINT PARTY FRIDAYs... I love going through and seeing all the other things that other artists post about :-D
Today I show you one of the classic Icons I painted last year.  This is one of the versions of St George and I have used gold for the frame and to embellish parts of the painting. This one is painted with egg Tempera - as per the traditional method. I have to be very careful with this as I am always licking brush tips or putting them in my mouth the wrong end round...... not a good idea when some of the Tempera powders are highly toxic !!!... snort !!!
If you really want to see craftsmanship on a vast scale with this method, then visit some churches if you ever are in Greece. The decoration will blow your socks off !!!
Anyhoo, here's my modest piece.
