Over at FOREVER NIGHT CREEPY CHALLENGES, Challenge 57 is Add Some Lace/Anything Goes and this time is sponsored by SASSY STUDIOS. I must admit I have several SS images but haven't used them in ages so it was great to firk them out :-)
This one is called VAMPIRE ROSALI.

I used DPs from Crafty Chaos, a button, some sequin lace and red twine. The back plate was cut with a die cut and mountings were with sticky pads for added height. :-)

SMUDGY ANTICS CHALLENGE - DISTRESS IT

                Welcome back for another challenge with Smudgy Antics!

The challenge theme this week is 

DISTRESS IT.

Using at least one stamped image (real or digi) and following the rules posted on the left sidebar, we at Smudgy Antics challenge you to relieve some stress by distressing items to make art. 

You can stick with paper crafting or you can go three dimensional.  The more creative, the better.  We love it when you guys and gals think outside the box! 

Well this week my mind was elsewhere and I started a project for the old theme ..pfftttt LoL !!!  I managed to change it though by adding some old book roses and leaves at the base. I distressed them with TH distress inks.  Psssst... don't tell the other DTs coz I think I got away with it LoL snigger !!!

I made this 'Bat' Christmas Tree  or is it a Batmas Tree hahahahaha using images from 'A Little Bit Batty' set from SMEARED INK of course :-) I resized them down from 8" to 3" at the top to make a tree shape and then added just a bat head instead of a star. The bats were printed one side flipped so that I could stick them together.

I used another old CD storage case and poked some wire down the centre stick and secured with hot glue. Then I covered the wire and stick in blood red satin material. I stuck on my bats and them painted them with glitter varnish (you can't see that in the pic). At the base I used die cuts to cut 2 different kinds of leaves. I distressed them with TH 'Peeled Paint' green distress inks. Then I made some old book pages roses and distressed them with TH 'Vintage Photo' ink. The roses go all around the back too. Lastly I added a big bow and voila !!!

The whole project is 15" tall and 5" across the base. I think I might put this on my Chrimbo table unless anyone wants it ???!!!!

Here are a few Chrimbo Decorations I have been making for the upcoming Bazaar this weekend.
I have used pages from old books and stuck them together to make long strips for the rosette backing.  It's a great way to use up all your little bits and pieces. I made assorted ribbon roses and stuff to put on them, and some gorgeous flowers that a friend sent me,  and went mad with my Stickles... it is sooo pretty and gives great glitz :-) Sorry about the shine off the baggies, but I'd packaged them up before I thought about taking pikkies :-( !!!

DELICIOUS DOODLES - BLUE CHRISTMAS

Hi Folks,

Do you know - when I looked this morning I had 197 Followers and was getting excited that I might reach 200 by Christmas, but alas, it was not to be... someone's dropped off and I'm back down to 196 :-(

Anyways -  I am being really productive and 'Chrismassy' today, so there may be a few Posts coming up.

Over at DELICIOUS DOODLES CHALLENGES  the Theme is Anything Christmas with Blue.
I have made a tag using CHRISTMAS LANTERN from Delicious Doodles. I coloured it and then printed it 4 times, fussy cut and layered up with mini pads for 3D effect. I added glossy accents to the glass and holly and a little Stickles on the bow. Snippet of lace and ribbon from my stash.

The DD DT have made some beautiful creations so why not pop over and have a look and join in.

Today I have a little bit of whimsy for you but it's still a bit Creepy coz the Reindeer is munching the Snowman's nose !!! LoL
This image is from SPYDER  - it's called "I Love Carrots" - and you can find him in her Shop HERE. I used him the other day to make a Tag and coz he makes me chuckle, I made a Chrimbo card for my daughter with him too :-)

XMAS ANGEL

Hi there,

I was making some Angels for my tree the other day and a friend saw them and commissioned me to make her a Red/gold one. She wanted mostly red, so I just added a gold bow and a gold halo. My ones are all gold but they don't photograph very well coz they're too glossy. I will work on that pikkie and maybe show you later :-)
Anyhoo - these are made from 3 circular die-cuts and 2 smaller for the halo.  I stick them all together with hot glue coz I think it's stronger. A styrofoam ball for the head and a doily - simples eh ??!!!!
I embossed this one on the dress and wings for added texture. I might add some glitter on it - I'll see what she wants. 

I'm going to make some more now coz we have a Christmas Bazaar coming up next weekend and I have a stall there :-D xx

CHRISTMAS TAG

I have here a Christmas tag that I unashamedly CASED from scrappellen.blogspot.com :-) her Tag was so gorgeous I fancied having a go myself and I had this little packet of wood reindeer that I didn't know quite what to do with. She makes the most gorgeous feminine things and my jaw just drops open when I visit her Blog. !! Her Tag inspired me and here is my attempt at something pretty girly ....

Now you know me - I don't often do 'girly' schtuff but I am quite pleased with this.

I used paper and main picture from  Stephanie -  La Passion du DigiScrap at The Digi Scrapbooking Boutique (and is a freebie at the moment ).

This is a No.8 tag in cream as the base. I stitched on the DP and stitched the main picture onto a piece of distressed cream card and stuck it over a piece of gauzy fabric and my snowflake.  I then made a border of lace with a Marianne die cut and threaded some pale blue paper through it where you'd normally put ribbon. The snowflake came from my friend Linda at Scrapcat Cards and the flowers are from my stash. Leaves and the other flowers/flakes were die cut with my Big Shot. I added some blue half beads and some Stickles for glitz but it doesn't show well when you photograph it.

DAY 4 of the 12 DAYS OF CREEPMAS

Now today on the Hop it's a SMEARED INK DAY , so I have made a tree decoration.
I used some pages from an old book and made a rosette. Then I printed out 'Hand Wreath' from the Gothic Christmas Set and 'Watchful Eye' and coloured them up. I put a poinsettia circle behing and covered that with glaze.  I have fussy cut Watchful eye and layered him up 4 times to make him 3D. I put a smidgin' of glitter all over after but you can't really see it in the photo :-)

So now your next stop on the Hop should be 'Cheery CANDACE' to see what gorgeous Chrimbo delights she has for us today :-)

QUOTH THE RAVEN - POE, POE, POE MERRY CHRISTMAS

Welcome to QUEST 16 over at  QUOTH THE RAVEN which this month is called "POE ! POE! POE! MERRY CHRISTMAS".
Firstly - Congratulations to our Winner for Quest 15 - CARLA who made an awesome tag for our Tic Tac Poe Challenge, and to our Top 3... Pauline, Vee and Monique :-) Well done everyone and thank you for joining us.

Now this time we are on a Christmas Theme, but it must have some connection to Edgar Allan POE and must be on the darker/Gothic side.
The Prize this Challenge is a brand new digi I made which is not even in my Shop yet. She is 'Scheherazade' and was drawn to illustrate Poe's story - The 1002 nd Tale of Scheherazade. You can read the story HERE and here's a preview of her.... (click on Pics to enlarge)

For my project this month I have used 'Old Man' from my Tell Tale Heart digis (Poe) and the Xmas tree from the 'Gothic Christmas' set from SMEARED INK. I added some lights and made it glow :-)
