This is my DAY 4 piece using a POE image from Figaro Designs, which I covered in clear sticky-backed plastic..

I cut multiple die cut oval frames and stuck them together then painted them gold to make a frame. 

I used a piece of wood as my base and stenciled with paste using Dutch Doobadoo stencil - A5 Burlap.

I added some words from " The Raven ' by Poe and some embossed corners. The whole thing was painted with pearl paints. Then I added some strip pearls bought from my local Chinese shop and some flowers from Samflora.

Sorry about the glare picked up by the sticky-back. It was impossible to take a photo using flash but it still picked up a bit of the ceiling light. Unfortunately it didn't show up the gorgeous shine of my pearl paints !!!  :-(   Grrr - you can't win :-)

30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE - DAY 4

Good Afternoon Peeps,
This year I decided to join the 30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE 2020, which is organised and run by MAGENTA SKY PRINTMAKING and this is my DAY 4 piece. The theme today is " TOYS & GAMES".

I have always been scared of using watercolours so I have joined my friend's Classes which start next week to learn shtuff :-D 

For my piece today I got the dreaded watercolours out and had a go - that's the whole point - right ?!  :-D   I must admit I prefer my fine liner sketch but it's only because the watercolouring is so totally alien to me right now :-)
When I paint my Pet Portraits, I use Guache and teeny tiny brushes and virtually paint every hair individually, so I want to try and get a bit ' free ' with the watercolours :-)

POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP 2019 - DAY 4

Hello POE Peeps,

Here I am with DAY 4 of the 4th Annual POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP  as hosted by the amazing LEIGH SB DESIGNS.

Here is my piece for Day 4. I have used an old one today as I am on Day 3 of a mega headache and have had to start wearing my neck brace, so it's too hard to craft. :-(

I made one of those Billboard type things with two pictures on that you only see one picture from each direction. :-) Full on it looks like this.

Then - from the left it's shows my POE Raven digi...FREEBIE at IKEsART.

When you look the other way it shows my POE Cat in glorious technicolour :-D

I was making up a little frame to mount it in but I messed up the first one and now I don't have enough wood !!! :-(  Anyways - you get the idea ? :-D

MY DARK VALENTINE - DAY 4

Hello Peeps,

Well - that schmaltzy time has passed for another year.  YaY :-)
 I am delighted to be playing in this great Hop hosted by LEIGH and giving my darker side of Valentine's Day a bit of a shake up LoL

We have a fabulous 5 days of darker schtuff to see and I hope that some of you will come and play along with us :-D

For today's piece I have made a sort of shadow box from cardboard. I painted it with texture paste first and then used some sprayed paint and tulle, with a lovely sort of feathered cord stuff.... looks a bit like teeny tinsel. I was aiming for a sort of "rust" effect but it didn't quite come off right  :-D  Then I splattered it all with 'fake' blood. The winged hearts are stamps from SMEARED INK (no longer trading) with an image from LEIGH SB DESIGNS - Ode to Poe in the centre. I used just the face from Leigh's awesome Freebie - POE LOVE.
The silk orchid is from my local Greek 1 euro shop.

I also have these to show you. I made them previously and have used IKEsART images " Love is Blind " and " Muse 1 ".

 " Love is Blind " using scraps from the bits box and border punches, flowers and googly eyes. The image was coloured digitally. She was then matted and layered onto white card which I splattered with fake blood and border punched.

" Muse 1 " Tag using embossed card, jute, die cut hearts, lace and button from my local store. The image was coloured with Promarkers. The Font used is called 'Blood'.

I am working on showing 2 pieces for our final day tomorrow.
