Hello Peeps,
Today is PURPLE DAY and our good friend FIKI has organised a Blog Hop in support of epilepsy awareness.
Please take a moment and read.
PURPLE DAY is a global grassroots event formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common myths and fears of this neurological disorder.
Further intentions of this movement are to reduce the social stigmas commonly endured by many individuals afflicted with the condition, to provide assurance and advocacy to those living with epilepsy that they are not alone in their ongoing endurance, and to initiate individuals living with the condition to take action in their communities to achieve these aims.
The day occurs annually on March 26.
You can read more about epilepsy here.
You have from 26-31 march to hop around!
Lets hop!
IKE** You are Here **
Some ladies have giveaways on their blogs and we have 2 sponsors Digi Doodle Studios and Kinda cute by Patricia Alvarez.
I am giving you this image today from Ike's Art and Annabel from Knitty Kitty Designs is also giving images!
I made 2 creations for you to see - One using a lovely image I was given by KNITTY KITTY called " PUDDLES OF LOVE ". I coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers and I added little dogs inside the raindrops, so it's actually " Raining Dogs on the Cat " hahahaha :-D :-D
The 2nd image I used was given to me by SHERRY WEST and she's called "SWEET SALLY ". I also coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers and used a selection of dies to make her a pretty background. She is popped up on 3D foamies.
So what you must do to be in the draw for the prizes ?
It's simple.......................
1. You must comment on each stop .
2. Leave a comment on my blog and tell me what you learnt about Epilepsy.
Here is my Prize list I am offering:
Winners will be picked Randomly from the list of Comments.
Thank you for popping in and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Hop. xxx

Hello, Ike! Your cards are so cute and adorable! I especially love the kitty! Your colouring is beautiful! Happy Purple Day! I learned a lot about epilepsy during this hop. The point I keep in mind is that during a convulsive seizure you should never hold the person down or put anything in their mouth. Please take care of yourself and stay safe and healthy!

ReplyDeleteHi, Ike!! Thank you for joining in AND sponsoring this important hop with your amazing and generous prizes!! Your cards are both so sweet....such adorable images and wonderful coloring. I esp love the one with Annabel's kitty with the umbrella. So fun with the doggies in the raindrops....hehehe!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to be a part of this hop, also, and to be reminded of some important things abt someone having a seizure....like noting the time the seizure started. I prob would not remember to think of that!
Hope you are doing well during this virus thing. Stay safe and healthy.

Wonderful cards and for such a great cause. I learned that many of the myths believed to be so are not true too.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, I love purple.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that sometimes seizures can be silent.
How cute are these cards!! Thanks for spreading awareness via card making. I learnt that we should not hold the person down or put anything in the mouth.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are so cute but that kitty one is a favorite. Good thing he has an umbrella because we know how most cats don't like to get rained on! Thanks for participating in the hop and helping spread the word about epilepsy. I learned a lot about epilepsy, especially not to hold someone down or put anything in their mouth when they are having a seizure.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that poor kitty is not only getting wet, but raining dogs on cats must be her worst nightmare...such a funny twist!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards on the hop and helping spread the word Ike. The epilepsy fact that stood out for me is not to put anything in the person's mouth when they are having a seizure, contrary to popular belief.
ReplyDeleteCute purple cards. I really like the one with the cat.
ReplyDeleteI learned that there are six main types of generalized seizures-- all involve loss of consciousness and typically happen without warning.

How fun, Ike! Your cat holding an umbrella in a shower of hearts filled with dogs is simply crazy and absolutely delightful and your little girl is so sweet! I hope you are taking care and keeping safe! (Please leave me out of the draw.) Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThese are both so beautiful. Your colouring is fantastic. I learned about epilepsy, that you should never hold someone down and I didn't know, that there are six types of generalized seizures.
