I decided to have an inky messy day today by dabbling with a mixed media project.
Now - I'm not so good with this. I see some awesome pieces of work in Blogland and on YouTube but when I try it I can never seem to get the composition right, but I am still plugging away LoL :-D
Here is a piece I made today to see what you think.........
I used corrugated card from a packing box as my background and then fished around for some other pieces. I took an image of a doll's head and fussy cut it and layered up in about 8 layers to make it 3D. Then I dipped it in my melting pot. It is quite deep but I had a small problem with the melting pot showing up the blobs of silicone I used to layer it, but it sort of looks ok.
The chipboard pieces are from 'Things To Alter' and the 'Imagination' word is a sort of thick card stuff. These pieces were sent to me by a great Friend.
Other materials are hessian, guitar string wires, dry wall tape - which I also used to stencil the background, card leaves and a card key.
Thanks for popping in and I hope you are having a great crafting weekend.
