Hello Everyone,
Today I decided to make a card for the Forever Friends bi-weekly Challenge which is being sponsored this time by Whimsy Stamps. The theme of the Challenge is "Punch It Out", so I went mad and got out a Martha Stewart border punch AND my Nellie Snellen flower punches. LoL I made an easel card, but this time it'sd a straightforward one, however, they are difficult to photograph. I must get round to sorting out my light box. :-(
Anyway - here it is ............
You must pop over to Forever Friends and play along. The Rules have changed a bit now and you can use other animals as well as the FF bears, so if you don't have any there's no need to worry and you can still join in :-D :-D

MANIC MACABRE MAYHEM
Hi Folks,
Well this has been a bit of a last minute panic. I nearly forgot about this week's bit of horror and have just about scraped in with this little beast. I whipped him up in my graphics programme but the colouring takes for ever and it's still not finished, but I don't have the time. I am entering him for this week at Haunted Design House - HDH090 NECRO NECKWARE Challenge.
This week they are sponsored by Kasket Kustoms. They have some really great stuff there - pop over and give your eyes a treat :-D

This is my creation. I used an image called TARAH + TAREK, which I know was a Freebie somewhere but I'm really sorry I can't remember whose it is. I tried to find out this week but have failed miserably so far. I coloured them in my graphics programme and coloured picked from the elephant border to create the backing papers.

SWANS REFLECTING ELEPHANTS R.I.P
Hi Folks,
I'm on my wierd moment. Having had my Mojo desert me all this week, I was desperate to join in with Haunted Design House this time as they are doing DALI. Not only my favourite artist but my inspiration on a lot of my private art stuff. Yesterday I had an idea and today I have been working on this creation.... my take on one of his paintings entitled "Swans Reflecting Elephants". Of course, I couldn't just do it straight since we are talking about Macabre Monday after all, so I made skellie ellies and swans. LoL. For the background I made a watercolour of a beach near me and I mirrored it to make a sort of pool inlet with rocks both sides. I was well pleased with the result. :-D My skellies I drew in my graphics programme and Voila, or AquĆ se, as Dali would say !!

VINTAGE ATTEMPT 2
Happy Sunday Everyone,
Well, I've been struggling again to get a handle on Vintage and have come up with this attempt. I have distressed and laced and sepia-ed but it still doesn't seem right to me !!! :-(
I give up - maybe vintage is not my bag.
There are ladies out there who do the most amazing vintage looks and I wish I knew how it worked.?
Any constructive criticism gratefully received before I finally call it quits !!

'TENSHUN
Hello Everyone,
This time on Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday we have a Military theme. My image is 'The General' from Dude Time Doodles. I coloured him in my graphics programme and then I paper pieced his uniform using camouflage paper I had in my system. I decoupaged him to make him 3D onto an old USA flag paper I have had for ages. Don't know where I got it from now. I made a sentiment tag which I attached with red string.

SPECIAL DAY
This time at Simply Create #44 Challenge is a Special Day/Event.
I have decided to go for a Wedding card.
I have made an upright easel card from cream 160gm cardstock, which has been cut to shape using my CraftRobo. This template is called Dove + Ribbon from the Crystal Dreams CD from Crafty Creativity.
Having cut the pieces, I 3D'd the doves using silicone and added some glitter to their front wings. I then threaded pale blue ribbon through the centre wheel before matting it onto a white wheel, which I cut slightly larger. I then added the doves, the centre flower and the tiny pair of wedding rings.
The main card has matching ribbon and some tiny pale blue gems. The vellum sentiment is from Lil'Messages by American Traditional. I matted it onto cream and white card and added more gems.
I hope you like my finished piece.

HmmmmM VINTAGE ??
Hi there Peeps,
Today I have been slaving all day trying to make 1 card !! I decided to enter the Forever Friends Vintage Challenge. OK you say.. but a) I don't usually do vintage, and b) the sponsor is Stitchy Bears - which is great 'cos they have FAB images, but I was desperately trying to fit something I already have into a vintage theme AND incorporate a FF bear. !!!
Well, eventually I came up with this....
I used a little image called "Tiny Bubbles". She's actually a fairy but I clipped her wings. She was originally coloured in my graphics programme but the colours didn't work at all with the vintage theme, so I turned her sepia. She is mounted on a piece of copper card which I distressed with sandpaper. I used my Martha Stewart punch of a piece of bronze card, which is stuck onto some black crinkly stuff that I got out of a chocolate box :-) My flowers are made from a Making Memories box called Blossoms + Buttons.
I really struggled with this but have put it up rather than bin it, after all that trouble. Actually the more I look at it, the more I dislike it. It may not be here tomorrow !!!!!!!!

FREEBIE FRIDAY......On Monday LoL
Hello Faithful Peeps,
What a disastrophe.........definitely got hexed by Friday 13th, and not only me though. I couldn't stand not having Blogger up and running and have just about got myself sorted out now.
Without further ado, here is a little something for you as promised. I hope you find it useful. Hopefully, you do the usual Right Click thingy and save to your computer :-D
IMAGE REMOVED
Personally, I wouldn't really know what to do with a packet of seeds, but they seem to be a really popular image so I just go with the flow and draw things :-)
Any requests for next week ?????

SSDS CHALLENGE - USE OLD STUFF
Hi Folks,
Over at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturday this week our Challenge is Use Old Supplies. I have had this Celtic corner image for ages and not done anything with it, so I decided to use it with the last of my coveted mulberry paper which is black but with a lot of gold running through it. I can't remember where I got it from as it was so long ago, so the chances of getting any more are totally zilch :-( I have decoupaged the cross for depth and matted the whole thing on really dark navy card and old gold card.
I am soooo glad that Blogger is back up and running, so am trying to sort out Freebie Friday now !!!!

SSDS SKETCH CHALLENGE
Hello Everyone,
This week at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle Saturdays we have a Sketch Challenge.
I decided to go girlie pink this week - which for me is unusual.... must be the hot weather LoL
I used one of Forever Friends images as the main piece, and all my other papers came as a Freebie from Crafts Beautiful. I 'colour picked' the backing papers to make some plain block colours in my graphics package and used them for matting, and the lacy border. I made this with my new Martha Stewart punch which came today. This one is called Swirling Lace.
The little flowers I made with my Nellie Snellen punches using some of the backing paper.
Please come and play at SSDS :-D

CDAC Entries
Hello Folks,
Today I thought I would share some cards I have entered into Challenges over at CDAC.
The first one was a Colour Challenge - Orange and Green - and we were given the lovely little fairy image as a Freebie. She is called Flissy Fairy and is from Ellephantastic. I decided to make her a Hallowe'en fairy with those colours and I also used papers from Susan Godfrey's scrap kit called Autumn Bounty.
I pleated the patterned paper and cut out some pumpkins to decorate. The Fairy has angel fibre wings but it's difficult to show on a photo. I coloured her in my graphics programme.
My second card was for the Other Themed Challenge being hosted on CDAC by Blue Mesa Designs. We were given some lovely Freebie garden images and had to make a card with a Garden theme. I coloured the images in my graphics programme and them used them to frame a photo of the Isle of Wight, where I used to live. I faded the photo down a bit so as not to detract from the images. I made a border with a Martha Stewart punch.
Here's a close-up of the images.
My 3rd card was using a beautiful Daisy image given free by DigiDrawn for the Sketch Challenge. It's such a beautiful digi. I used my graphics programme again to colour it, and used a Martha Steward punch to make a border in green card, which I also used as a matting layer. My sentiment was made in my GP and I used string to attach it. The idea of the Challenge is to keep it simple. I was very pleased with my end result.
There are more Challenges there, so why not pop over to CDAC and grab yourself some FREEBIES and enter a challenge or two. :-D

WHAT MOTHER SAID...
Here we are again Peeps for todays Challenge at Simply Create. This time we are doing Mothers.
I have used Stella from Bugaboo Stamps.
I have used a Fiskars border stamp for the background card and ribbons from my stash. Stella has been printed 3 times and decoupaged to make her 3D and her head is set on a spring so that it waggles from side to side (doesn't show on a pikkie unfortunately.) The sentiment was made in my graphics programme using the colours I used to do Stella.

FOREVER FRIENDS SPRINGTIME
Hi Peeps,
Over at Forever Friends two week Challenge the Theme this time is Buttons and Bows and they are sponsored by Di's Digis. MOTHERS DAY
Hello again,
This week on Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday our theme is Mother's Day.
For my card I have used a template on my CraftRobo, from the Crystal Dreams CD by Crafty Creativity.
This is a really tricky one to do because of all the fiddly little pieces that have to be removed - very carefully but I think the result is worth it :-) I lined the pale lemon card with white card, both were 160gm.
In each little daisy I stuck a tiny gold seed bead and used them too for the body of the butterfly. I used several sets of wings on my butterfly in pale lemon and white, and his underneath layer is of slightly darker lemon card. I also added some very fine gold thread for his antennae. I used the darker lemon card for the tag and embellished with a small paper daisy I recently got from in a huge baggie from Taiwan.
I was so pleased with the result of this card I got all 'arty farty' with my picky of it this time and thought it deserved something sunny instead of my usual black. :-D
Challenges I am entering;
Hand Stamped Sentiments No.65 Mother's Day Theme
2 Sisters Challenge 37 - For a Mom
Fairy Tale Challenge 14 - Mothers Day
If the Shoe Fits Challenge FF 77 - Things With Wings
