I'M BACK WITH NEW GOODIES :-D

Hi Peeps,
Well, here I am back from sunny UK and had a great time with my DD and her family (other than catching their kiddy stomach bug which took out my first week - yuk !!!)

I got some new goodies that were sent to her house a month ago awaiting my arrival - yoo hoo.... and I also got the chance to meet up with the illustrious BLACK DRAGON..... not enough time and too much to say so I would deffo need more time to chat with her, but at least we got to meet :-D 

So anyways, I was just rushing in as I have something to enter over at Darnell's Blog for her NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) Challenge #1, so I better get this in quick.

These digital images are from the Spritus Mortis Kit by itKuPiLLi which I purchased ages ago but have never gotten round to using until now.

The ribbon rose I made myself and the lace is vintage stuff I got from eBay recently.

I made this card as a commission item for a friend to send to a Gothic sister :-D It was one hell of a struggle as I seem to have left my creative Mojo back in the UK :-( Hey-ho !!

Hopefully it will return and I can then play constructively with my new schtuff :-D xx

MEGA MAIL FROM THE DONKEY

It's me again with my second piece of DonkeyMail to show you.

There is the most amazing crafter called CLARE WILLCOCKS - not only is she an artist and does gorgeous water colours but she does this mind blowing thing with ultra intricate paper cutting that you would not believe. !!!
I recently commissioned her to do me one about cats, and it has arrived safe and sound.
Here is a picture - but they are even more amazing in real life I can tell you....

It's in part of it's original packaging until I get it framed up coz I would hate to get anything spilt on it or damage it.

You know, I stare and stare as it's almost unbelievable that she cuts these with a scalpel. The maroon paper is at the back so that it shows up her fine work. She did the Blog Header on her personal Blog, so why not pop over and take a squint at that, and her latest commission - a doggie one for a Scottie called Hamish !!!!  You will be blown away, I assure you !!!

Look what DonkeyMail bought me from CreepyGlowbugg all the way from the US !!!

I got a fabulous card, some ATCs and goodies and the most amazing toilet paper roll tag box. Just take a look at that.... it's AWESOME and it's such a pity that you can't see this in real life !!! I am so pleased and will certainly treasure this. :-D

CARD COMMISSION 1

Happy Monday Peeps,
Just popping in quickly to show one of the cards I made yesterday.
I used an image from DIGITAL TWO for TUESDAY and then cut her out with a doily die.
The background was made using the left overs from die cutting flowers as a stencil and spraying some inks through it.
Leaves and flowers cut with various dies. I inked all the edges for effect.

IN A HOLIDAY MOOD

Hello Peeps,
I am getting into a holiday mood now that we have hit June as I am off to see my daughter and grandbabies in 10 days time :-D
Much as I don't like the travelling, I am looking forward to seeing her and family.
I think though that my Mojo has left without me already as I am not feeling at all inspired and have commissions for 4 cards which are as yet unstarted :-(
In the hopes of enticing Mojo back, I thought I would mess with some ATCs (start small - right ??!!!) They are going to be on a Holiday theme for a Swap at Card Making World.

I found a really cool Seagull backing paper and it is marked Alice Potter, but I don't know where I got it from.
Then I cut out a snippet of postcard paper from a Vintage Card Pack that I bought from Create and Craft about 10 years ago ... LoL
The suitcase was a freebie and I paper pieced it with a picture of real leather. The little lady sitting on her case waiting to go is 'Angelina Flowertina Sitting' who is a freebie from CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE, and I think she's still snaggable if you are quick :-D I coloured her with Promarkers and Copics.
The mini postcard says "καλό ταξίδι"... which is good journey in GREEK.

So - there we are. In an attempt to lure back my Mojo, it's not come out too bad. :-)

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST 33.. A PUNCH OF POSIES

Good morning Peeps,
Here I am with my creation for this month's Quest #33 over at QUOTH THE RAVEN. Our theme is "A Bunch of POEsies"  and we are looking for flowers on your creation BUT it still has to be connected to the Master - Edgar Allan POE, coz that's what we're all about right ?! :-D

Here is my piece - a book cover that I shall be making more creations to go inside... eventually LoL
I have called it "The Book of My Mind's Eye"..... not really sure why but that was an idea I woke up with and here it is. !!

I covered some thick cardboard with kitchen roll and squidged it all up to get texture and then put Gesso on it. Then I used different inks and dies splurged on it to make it brown. I also used a sort of paste stuff called 'PRECIOUS METALS'  Bronze that the wonderful BD sent me as a gift :-)  LUV this stuff.

The eye was made with half a styrofoam ball and more kitchen paper for the lids. The veins were done with tiny pieces of red feather. Eyelashes are made from a brown feather. I then stuck it to some embossed card and made a ripped edge.

The flowers were made with my new STAMPIN' UP punch and stamps set called 'Flower Shop'. I then coated them with some nail varnish that I don't like on my nails coz it takes foreva to dry !!!  When you move it in the light it changes hue slightly - sorry that doesn't work on a photo !! LoL It's pinky/purple one way, or blue/green, or a sort of yellowy hue :-)

I am going to enter into the SoSS Challenge - C is for CRAP... coz I have no idea why I bought a sheet of stick on hinges and locks that don't even look like metal AND they don't stick properly and that awful nail varnish (and you know... I found 2 pots of the same darnstuff !!!) hahahaha LoL

OK - that's it for now I think.

We are a little short staffed at QTR this month so BLACK DRAGON will be posting her creation  a bit later on. :-D

Hello Peeps and Happy Wednesday,

Welcome to my desk for the WOYWW #260  and it's the 5th Year CELEBRATION.

I am participating in the ATC Swap that is running with this celebration and here is my Swapsie piece.

Beside it is a whole box of ATCs that I have made, so if anyone else would like to swap then just shout up :-D Leave me a comment and we can arrange all the deets. :-)

I do Gothic/Horror ATCs as well as 'normal' ones, so let me know what style you would like.

Here is part of my desk this week, which is not very tidy I'm afraid. I got some boxes I've been transforming and a nearly finished tag. The rest is a bit too like a bombsite to show you LoL

This is the start of her email address. This person has made an order from IKEsART that I am desperately trying to send but the Post Master keeps bouncing the emails back to me.
I have tried several different emails to send it from but I cannot get through.!!

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST #32 - RAVING RAVENS... MIDWAY REMINDER

Hi Peeps,
Here I am to remind you that the latest Quest over at QUOTH THE RAVEN is halfway through. QTR is an Edgar Allan POE based Challenge site and the theme for Quest #32 is RAVING RAVENS, so basically you can anything you like as long as there is a Raven on it somewhere.
Here is my midway inspirational piece.

The background and elements used are from the GOTHIC POETRY SET  by DEVIANT SCRAP and the Raven (from Smeared Ink) has been fussy cut and layered up 5 times. I think actually I should have 'flipped' him to make him look the other way now that I sit and look at this more !!

I printed out some POE pictures onto assorted backing paper and then cut 1.5" circles with my punch and folded the edges over to make 1" squares and stuck them in a random pattern on the right there. The whole background paper contains the poem "The Raven" By E A POE.

IT'S TAG TIME

Hi Peeps,
Here I am to show you the Tag I have made for the MAY TAG SWAP over at IKEsART FAN PAGE on FACEBOOK - you'll find it under 'EVENTS' at the top. The Theme is "PUNCH DRUNK" I have have used a border punch 4 times down the side and I've added punched out flowers. The image is my New  "SAUCY FAIRY" which was released this week and is available in my SHOP.

The punched strips of card are bits left over after cutting out other projects - I have a whole box of card 'bits'. I also used odd scraps of card and papers for my flowers and I found a really great poem about Fairies by Joyce Hemsley. My 'SAUCY FAIRY' was coloured with Copics.
