IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES #23 - AROUND THE WORLD

Happy Tuesday everybody,

Here I am today to tell you about the latest Challenge over at IKEsWORLD CHALLENGES - #23 AROUND THE WORLD.

We are celebrating different countries/cultures around the world this fortnight and I am here with my creation using a brand new release - ISRAEL.

I have made a selection of images - some based on my own Menorah and Mezuzahs and a kooky looking Rabbi - not depicting any of the Rabbis that I knew however - they were mostly a little more stern than this one !! LoL

I made an easel card for you to see..

All my images were coloured digitally in PSE9.

This set is available in my STORE now.

SEPTEMBER RUDOLPH DAY

Hello Peeps,
Bit of a Christmassy thing going on today as this is my entry for RUDOLPH DAY over at Sarn's Blog STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I am a bit quick off the mark this week with the latest FREEBIE image from SPYDER.... he's called 'Smiley Snowman' and if you pop over there you can snag yours now. :-D 
I have coloured him with Copics and Promarkers, and mounted him onto red card.

I have used all Snippets from my Christmas bits box from last year. Papers are from Paper Creator. I cut out some hexagons with my punch & stamp set from STAMPIN' UP and glued them to a piece of card. This was mounted on to red card. The card itself is plain white but is layered with a little left-over of snowflake vellum.

the label and brad I found in the bottom of the box. :-D

EEEEeek !! Just found out that I have to put BOTH Rudolph Day entries on the same Blog Post - so here is my 2nd one.

The little image is by Wonderstrange and is coloured with Copics. The rest is raided from the snippets box.

This one is for my more 'Creepy'-luvin friends. :-D

NOT SO GORY CAT !!

Well - it's gory but not really ... unless you don't like the sight of blood and stitches.  I'm just easing you in gently here before we start the full blown Halloween build up in October  !! Bwaahahahaha

This little guy was a freebie over at SPYDER's Blog a couple of weeks back now, but you can find him in her SHOP for a spiffingly good 99p.  !!! He's called Pawley Pussy Cat.

I coloured him with Prismacolour Pencils blended with baby oil and then fussy cut him out. He is attached with 3D foam pads. My background is made with a list of contents from a First Aid Kit which I stitched to my card with black/red inked string to make big sutures ......posh word for stitches right ??. I cut out some little red crosses for the corners and the splattered the whole thing with red ink. 

My little Bandaid is from the 'Patterned Occasions' set of rubber stamps by STAMPIN' UP, stamped in black onto some flesh coloured card.

Well, that's him done and looky pretty pee-'d off about his injuries by the looks of it :-)

Here I am with my creation for our latest Challenge over at QUOTH THE RAVEN... #37 - TAG ALONG.  You can make any sort of Tag that you like so long as it has some sort of connection to EDGAR ALLAN POE.

I have made a Tag within a Tag creations using some snippets I had hanging around and a rubber stamped image of a Raven from the Quoth The Raven set by SMEARED INK.

I hope you will pop over and play along with us. Things were a bit quiet over there last month so we only have a Winner this time and no Top 3.

Snippets Playground Wk #143

THE CREEPY ME IS HERE :-)

Hi Peeps,
Let's have a little rest from the cute and cuddly eh ?  Well - I mean - what with Halloween creeping up on us !!!! Bwaahahahaha

I guess you could say that this one is 'creepy cute' though, so it's not all shock, horror !!! Hee hee

For the background I used a Creative Expressions embossing folder called 'Brick' and I then used a foam inky pad to drag over it to give it colour and shadow. I cut around the edges of the bricks to get the size card that I wanted.

The image is called "Abby Love Letters" by LACEY SUNSHINE and I have coloured her with Promarkers, Copics and black lead pencils for her hair -I don't have any shades of grey Promarkers :-( 

I completely cut her out and I also cut a circle of gold fine mesh and made a small hole in the middle to slip it over the flame of the candle, to give me a light effect.

I shaded a shadow on the wall backing and then mounted Abby on the front with 3D foam pads.  

Ta Da !!! Creepy but also cute :-D

WOW !!! SECOND CUTESY OF THE DAY !!!

Here I am again with yet another cute creation today..... gosh - I must be sick or coming down with a deadly dose of marshmallows !! 
Anyhoo - I found a new site (well, new to me anyways )  LITTLE CLAIRE and there are some great digis. I fell in love with Calvin the kitty and a little dog she has there too. :-D
So - here is CALVIN on his debut.

I used some pale pink card for the back and then sponge printed through the negative part of some die cut flowers with Whispers Archival ink in 'Whisper Pink'.

The I 'paper pieced' Calvin with a delicate floral paper and cut him out twice to fussy cut and 3D him. His grass and flowers were coloured with Promarkers.

I made two little banners and stuck little pink gems on them from my stash.

PUPPY MISH MASH

Happy Tuesday Peeps,
Hahahaha - I bet you thought it was going to be some horrific squished puppies or something from that title didn't you ???? !! LoL
NO - it's OK ... you are safe... it's cute and cuddly haha.

I was lucky enough to win a challenge the other day and my Prize was this brilliant set from SCRIBBLES DOODLES DESIGNS, and I couldn't wait to use them.

I made this little card for a couple of Challenges that took my fancy.

All the papers are from the Puppy Mini Mish Mash set.

The dog is by LITTLE CLAIRE and is called 'Doggie Fetch'

Both the digis were coloured with Copics and Promarkers.

The Tag Label is from a little stash of Cricut bits and bobs that my friend cut for me before she left the island here. I don't know what cartridge it comes from. I stamped on it with mini rubber alphas.

SUMMER FUN

Good Morning Peeps and Happy Monday,
Well - for me the Summer is still here but definitely the evenings are getting a bit cooler here and it's gets dark earlier. Days are good though as we are still around 28 degrees :-D

I have made another little creation for entering into Challenges this morning, and I had a go at one of these pop-up doodads, so here it is.

The actual Pop-Up card kit is a download from Cardmaking Downloads and is from the Great Britain Kit. It reminded me of deckchairs and the shape is sort of Punch and Judy tent-ish, so perfect for a beach theme.

I used elements from 'Beach Camp' kit by SALT TOWN STUDIOS for my outside panels.

The main images are, 'Beach Baby 2'  and the little birds are Crow'  both from BUGABOO and the other one is 'Becky Bunny' which is the latest Freebie from SPYDER and I think if you are quick you can still snag it HERE.

I coloured them all with Copics and then cut them out to stick on the tabs. The Beach Baby has Stickles on her water and her sunglasses are done with Glossy Accents.

I have been doing some drawing today but I had this urge to use some new papers I just got and to enter a few Challenges.
Here is what I made.

SCHOOLDAYS ARE HERE

Well - it's that time of year when the kiddoes either start or return to school and it all goes very quiet at home - Yes ?!!
My Grandson is 4 + 1/2  and starts his first full week of school this week and he's very excited I can tell you :-D I expect my youngest Grandson will find it pretty quiet at home now !

I decided to make a little school report card using "Google Eyes Duck" by Creative Bug.

I coloured him with Promarkers and set him on a 3D card type background using 'Schools In Session' by Vicky Day and '1st Day of School' Chalkboard by AllClipArt.

I made it so he can tick the boxes when he was polite/helped someone/raised his hand etc. :-D

SCARY TIME

Ooooooh - WATCH OUT...... it's scary time Folks. !!!!!!
I've been busting to Blog this one but I had to wait until my Swap partner received it so as not to spoil the surprise.

This is a FAT PAGE  (6" x 6") that I made for  a Swap over at SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM.

I made a thick card base and then stuck some kitchen towel on it and flicked some inks on there whilst it was wet. You have to leave 1/2" of free space at the side so that your recipient can put holes in to bind it :-D

Then I used my SMEARED INK - QUOTH THE RAVEN rubber stamp set to stamp on the page and to do my cut out images. The kitty stamps are all from a new set of tiny cat stamps I got called "Pussy Cat". I cut out some paws and made tiny bunting with hand drawn stitching.

On the other side is one of my images "POE CAT" which I coloured up and put with a small excerpt from the poem 'The Black Cat' by Edgar Allan POE.

I am having a Challenge day today and just messing about coaxing my Mojo out to play.
So - this is a soft and squidgy moment with this cute lil' puppy that I got from IMAGINE THAT on their FB page... it's called "Puppy Chaise".
I coloured him up and then 'paper pieced' his sofa with some freebie papers from Cardmaking & Papercraft. The backgrounds are the free papers too.
The Sheep are from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY.

I have used Sketch #327 from Sketch Saturday.

And there we are. :-D

Don't get too comfortable now coz I have a SCARY one for you later (now I know that it has arrived safely with it's recipient I can Blog it)  LoL

Scribbles Designs Challenge #21 - Counting Sheep   ** TOP 3**

A BIT OF SILLINESS

Me yet again with a bit of silliness I did for a brand new Challenge Blog....... SLS LINES DIGITAL STAMPS CHALLENGE BLOG.
This is their very first Challenge and the theme is "Ladies". 
Well - I don't actually have any SLS 'Ladies' so I messed around with some SLS cats instead. hee hee  :-D

The background is a sketch of a Greek street. The Dustbin is by SCRIBBLES by SANDY  and the 2 cats are by SLS LINES called 'Cat Set'.  His pink cushion is just a cut out. I printed out the backing twice and 3D'd it and the cats are mounted on silicone blobs to make them stand out.

I coloured my cats with pencils and Promarkers.

When I did the recent ATCs for the Sport Swap at CARDMAKING WORLD, I received a message from a lady in Russia -her Blog is  Riliska - saying she really like the basketball ones and she had a friend who played that sport, so I decided to make her a set using all 6 Basketball Dragons from DOODLE DRAGON STUDIOS.
Here is how they turned out.

They went trogging their way off this morning to Russia by Donkey Mail - so I don't know how long it will take him to get there. Let's hope he doesn't get caught in any snow !!!!!!

Good Morning Peeps,
I had a bit of a creative flurry at the weekend and have a couple of bits to show you.
The first is a pair of Baptism cards that I was asked to do for a Greek friend.
I took my inspiration from a beautiful card I saw made by Karen Dillon although she doesn't seem to have posted since March 2011 :-(

I used an assortment of embossing folders and dies for the backgrounds and the ornate cross is a cutting file I purchased in the SILHOUETTE Store.  It is designed by SAMATHA WALKER and you can buy it HERE.

The ribbon and charms were from my stash.

HAPPY BATH-DAY 2

I am playing today with a Freebie image from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY  for a couple Challenges that she has going on,
This image is called "DOG WASH".
I have been experimenting with different techniques and stuff for colouring.
Here I am with my 2nd creation.

For this one, I 'paper-pieced' his bath tub using Duck Tape. I used a sort of stippling effect with my Promarkers to colour him in and then used Stickles on just some of the bubbles. I printed/coloured and cut out the Puppy 3 times and then fussy cut and 3D'd him with silicone.

The background papers are a kit from IRISH PRINCESS DESIGNS  called 'Furred, Feathered & Finned' and was part of the  AUGUST Blog Train held by DUSK 2 DAWN. 
The Frame I used is 'Puppy Paws Frame' by Kim Cameron Designs.

I had a bit of a laugh too when experimenting with some Puffy paint.... the doggy didn't come out exactly how I thought it would and he looks down right scary in fact hahahaha LoL  :-D 

Needless to say - I won't be trying that again LoL

HAPPY BATH-DAY 1

Hi there Peeps,
I am playing today with a Freebie image from SCRIBBLES BY SANDY  for a couple Challenges that she has going on,
This image is called "DOG WASH".
I have been experimenting with different techniques and stuff for colouring, and here is my first creation.

He's very colourful on his papers which are from WINKSART GRAPHICS - the 'Puppies' set.

I coloured the puppy with Promarkers and I used a silver pen for his bath tub and a gold pen for his dog tag. The bubbles were done with Stickles.

It doesn't all show up quite so shiny on a photo or else you get a glare !! 

I followed the Sketch given over at Krafty Hands although it's a shame that I missed that challenge. 

I'll be back with my 2nd Puppy creation when it's finished drying. :-D

TAG IT ON

Happy Sunday Peeps,
Just popping in with a tag I made to put on a card for a Guinness loving chum's Birthday today.
I used glossy accents on the Guinness glass and some shells and bits from my stash. The image was printed 4 times and fussy cut then 3D for added effect.

CUTESY DAY

Hi Peeps,

In trying to encourage my Mojo to return I fear I have dropped into the pit of 'cutesy-ness'  hahahahahaha !!

I got this really fabbo little Bear cutting file as a Freebie from LITTLE SCRAPS OF HEAVEN DESIGNS and so I raided by scraps box to find some bits and bobs to use up as well - so it was a good bit of all round fun.
Here is my little creation....

The idea was that he was Free if you applied for him and then created something to be then posted on their FaceBook page. You can find that HERE.

He was so sweet that I couldn't resist him and it also blew the cobwebs out of my cutting machine :-D I tried to give him some shadowing with Promarkers.
