HAPPY MOTHERs' DAY

Happy Mothers' Day to all you Mums out there.
I have made a little card for a friend's MuM, since I don't have a Mum now.
I made the card using a freebie image from BIRDIE BROWN (can't find her shop for stamps etc. Her Etsy doesn't seem to have them ).
This stamp was called 'Dreamin'.

I paper pieced the images and then stitched the topper onto some matching papers.

A PRODUCTIVE DAY 2

I'm back again using some more of my awesome freebies and stuff.
I've got 2 Chrimbo cards here........ oh I can hear you groaning !!!.... but they are for the RUDOLPH DAY Challenge over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE. The idea of the Challenge is to make two Chrimbo cards a months and then we don't have a last minute panic in December (well, in theory anyhow ! LoL)
My first creation is a Tag using "Birthday Puppy Plain" from SPYDER.

A PRODUCTIVE DAY - 1

Γειά σου again,

It was raining with a thunder storm this morning, so instead of going out to the shops, I came down to my craft room...... any excuse eh ?!!

I have decided to start using all the fabulous things I collect along the way in Blogger... you know - awesome freebies and giveaways by Bloggers - that I duly collect and then file away in my huge stash file, and then forget that I've got !!   LoL

So, I'm working my way through my March stash, and on this piece I have used a fabulous new digi by SARN over at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE (the famous organiser of the monthly 'Rudolph Day' where we make cards ready for Christmas and enter her little Challenge at the same time).
But, I digress...... Sarn also draws the famous "SarnDangles" on her creations and they are fabulous. Peeps are attempting to get her to make + sell them as digis. Here's what I mean....

Cool eh ??!!! (I've put my WM over it so no-one snatches it from here).

She has this awesome way of stamping one stamp on a card and added inked backgrounds etc. in a fabulous CAS way and I attempted to emulate her style with this digi of hers called "Daisy", but it didn't work out. In the end I printed it 3 times and fussy cut bits to make it 3D. I did manage to get a splatter background but couldn't make it look as good as her creations !! LoL

I printed it 3 times and cut the whole thing once and the petals twice. I didn't stick each petal down and it looks really cool with them not quite over each other as it seems like there are loads more :-)

So, there we are... I am off to see what else I got as freebies this month and make something else :-)

A LITTLE BIT OF SCARY.....

Hello again Peeps,
Today I have a little bit of scariness for you with a new digi that I won from DELICIOUS DOODLES. On their DELICIOUS DARKNESS FaceBook page there was a competition from Teri to name her new digi and I won !!! My choice of name was "CRANIUM CARESSES" and you can get your copy HERE.

I printed her out 6 times and fussy cut different bits out to make her 3D layered. The background I placed her on is called Vintage Halloween Distressed Paper 3 from SENECA POND CRAFTS. I cut the background off her and added a scary green glow and a sentiment which says.... "Absence makes the heart want to fondle other people"  Bwaahahahaha  LoL
I also used a lovely bit of black netting which was a prezzie from my Friend - BLACK DRAGON. :-D 

Sorry the angle of the photo makes it look like I have my layers stuck on wonky, but I can assure you that they are perfectly aligned :-D

HAPPY MONDAY FUN

Hello Monday Peeps,

Here I am finishing off uploading my creations... I ran out of energy yesterday !! LoL

Here is one I have made for the latest QUIRKY CRAFT's Challenge - What's in The Quirky Cupboard ?

I have used two of my images...'Old Hag' and 'Doxie' on the front and the cupboard is a free download from WPClipart. 

Here's what you get when you open the cupboard.

I cut out the door and then printed some matching green for the inside. Then I remounted the door on paper hinges.

Inside is 'HAMILTON' from Creative Bug on The Loose, and I got him as a Freebie to use in the New Beginnings Challenge Celebrations. You can snag him or one of the other digis on offer, to enter too if you go check out the new Challenge site.

The background paper is a digital scrapbook paper I just got from a Set by Far Far Hills called 'SPRING MORNING'

OH, I TOTALLY FORGOT !!!... QUIRKY GDT SPOT #2

OMGoodness - I totally forgot to post my creation for my 2nd GDT spot over at QUIRKY CRAFTS, for their Challenge #5 SECRET GARDEN.
I was given this absolutely beautiful digi by UNKY of The East Wind Company. She is called "Pink Rose and Shimmer Chiffon", so of course I had to go all out pink :-D

I coloured the image using Copics. I had the perfect Sizzix die for the shape of this lovely image and edged it with some pale pink Whispers ink.  I used some gauze behind and some die cut swirls. The backing card is from First Edition  'Love Letters' pad. The rose and ribbon to finish my hanging is from my stash.

So sorry for such a late posting :-(

This is probably my last piece for today.... a card for a Sunderland fan.
I used 'Dunderton Accademicals' from DR DIGI.. but I had to paper piece his shirt to fit the Sunderland strip :-)  I am pretty new with Dr Digi, but I do get the Newsletter. They have some really funny digis there and some great stuff for Blokes !!! The Sunderland logo is from their football fan club page.

FRIENDS TAG

Well - I seem to be in Tag mode today, so here is a pretty pretty one for you to get you over the shock of the previous one LoL

My image is from DESIGNED2DELIGHT (are they called From The Heart Stamps now ???) and is called 'Lucky Bird' and the stamped sentiment is using a rubber stamp from my 'Language of Friendship' Set by STAMPIN' UP.
The other papers and bits are using up scraps from my bits box :-D 
I 'paper pieced' the birdie using scraps that sort of matched. They don't show up very well on here. I coloured his booties with Copics.

ATC SWAP

Me again,
Here are my ATCs that I made for the FEB ATC Swap over at INKY FROGGIES.
I forgot to take a photo but Kristy kindly did it for me when they arrived - that's why I am so late posting them :-D
The background is made using STAMPIN' UP 'Outlined Occasions - Love' digi that I copied loads of times to make a backing, and 'Sprinkled Expressions - Heart' on the top. I cut out the little hearts so the background would show through.
The kitty is wearing some glasses I made using my 'Spec-Tacular' rubber stamps, also from SU. Then I glued some acetate behind the frames to make the lenses :-) (very fiddly indeed !!!)
I'm sorry - I lost my piece of paper with all the deets on and I can't remember who's digi this little Cat is. If you know - can you tell me please so that I can give proper credit :-)  

Oh, I found it now in my stamps box.... he's a clear stamp from RECOLLECTIONS and the Set is called 'MEOW MEOW' also with PRRRR word stamp. :-D

SISTERHOOD OF SNARK CHALLENGE

I am back again today :-D
I am entering Challenge #4 over at the SISTERHOOD OF SNARK and the Theme is "F is for......" (Fancy Fold actually LoL)
I used a 'Secret Heart' template that is by Mirkwood Designs.

The digi and the papers I used are by DELICIOUS DOODLES.... 'Autumn Paper' and 'Butterfly Bliss' I made a sort of kaleidoscope with the Autumn paper for the outside. The butterfly embellishments are made with my new die set from Tonic - Layering Butterflies.

INKY FROGGIES MARCH ATC SWAP

Me again,
Here are my ATCs for the MARCH ATC SWAP over at INKY FROGGIES.
The idea is to use STAMPIN' UP products and I have used:
'Fresh Vintage Flourish' - a SU Digi stamp on the background 
'Fresh Vintage Flower 2' - SU digi for my 3D flowers
'Ears To You' SU Rubber Stamp for the Bunnies which are mounted with 3D foamies.
The background paper is Baby Bunny scrapbook paper, a freebie from MEINLILAPARK
The ATC envelopes are from SENECA POND CRAFTS

KRISTY is a STAMPIN' UP demonstrator/supplier and you can see the fabulous goodies HERE. Such a pity that they don't have this in Greece :-(

NEW BEGINNINGS CELEBRATION

Hello Everyone,
Today I finished my piece for the NEW BEGINNINGS CELEBRATION CHALLENGE #1 over at  CREATIVE BUG ON THE LOOSE.
For my card I used 'HAMILTON CELEBRATES' by Naomi - he was one of her Freebies to play along with.

I made a hand cut swing card using a template from The Frugal Crafter, with Freebie backing paper by MEINLILAPARK. On one of them I added blanket stitch to make it seem like his picnic blanky :-D. The little picnic basket scene was a freebie from Digital Two for Tuesday, which I left as it was in black and white.
I had to 'flip' Hamilton coz I realised that he would be hidden when the card was shut, but not until I had stuck him on there  ....Pfffttt!!!  At least I managed to pull off the first one before it stuck fast without trashing the whole swing system LoL
He was coloured up and then printed out several times so I could cut him up and make him 3D with foam pads :-) I did say 'sorry' to him every time I cut parts of him off LoL :-D

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST #30 MIDWAY REMINDER

Hi there Peeps,
I have just popped in to remind you that QUEST #30  TIC, TAC...POE over at QUOTH THE RAVEN is at the halfway point.
I have made something for your inspiration using one of my new digis for March... it is called 'THOUGHTS'. I have coloured over all the black lines in flesh colours etc. so you can't see the outlines :-D 
 The background paper is my Raven Freebie. This is a digital piece and I have used the Left Side Vertical line from the Grid - Hardware/Metal. Skull + Flowers.

Oh yes... I forgot to say..... the hand with the pen is writing "To Helen" - a poem by Edgar Allan POE :-)  I got it from the Poe website and typed it onto the postcard graphic.

TAG SWAP AT IKE'sART FAN CLUB

Today I am showing you a Tag I made for our Feb/March  Round Robin TAG SWAP that we are having over on IKE'sART FAN PAGE on FACEBOOK. Unfortunately, the sign up is closed now but everyone is beavering away making their tags.
I have done mine and since I posted it up yesterday and it is no longer a surprise for Lisa, I am showing you all today.

The Theme was.. "All About Me"..  so I chose things related to my life just now.

On the front I used my image called 'DAISY SEEDS'. I printed it and then used a pokey tool to prick all the way around the outline and then flipped it over to use just the pricked out side. I saw this on a Tutorial the other day at SPLITCOAST STAMPERS WEEKLY INKLING #404 - No Line Piercing. I coloured it slightly with copics and then sewed seed beads in two colours of orange for the centres.

I sewed corrugated card to some burlap and put that on and used my image 'KITTY 1' on the top of that and one of my highly cherished cat brads. !!!

The seed packed is mounted on top of the braid that runs either side making a small pocket, and there are 2 more tags in there with secret things on !! I will not spoil Lisa's surprise by telling you. :-)

On the back of the tag I added some of the things that I really like - the horror film section contains an image drawn by my friend MONIQUE.... Jigsaw... and I coloured him digitally.

Well,  I am really pleased with the result. :-) I hope Lisa will like it.

INKY FROGGIES

Hello again today,
Well I have been getting my fingers inky (if not my froggies LoL) making a little something for the March Challenge over at INKY FROGGIES FaceBook Group.
The theme is 'Recycle Something' and I just love changing things and making something cool out of stuff people would throw away.
My friend smokes this particular brand of cigarettes which come in really cool little boxes about 3" square and she saves them for me. I have made loads of little gift boxes with them in the past, and this is what I've done this time. I spray them with scent so that they don't smell of tobacco and then paint and cover them with pretty papers.

I've made and sold lots of these here in Greece as the locals always like their presents gift wrapped and these are great for all sorts of little gifties :-D

I have used my 'Language of Friendship' rubber stamp set from STAMPIN' UP and printed the pieces out using blue/green Whispers ink. I then used Marvy Brush Markers and a water pen to colour the bird.

I am sending this to a new Blogger friend as a surprise :-D
