OH, I TOTALLY FORGOT !!!... QUIRKY GDT SPOT #2

OMGoodness - I totally forgot to post my creation for my 2nd GDT spot over at QUIRKY CRAFTS, for their Challenge #5 SECRET GARDEN.
I was given this absolutely beautiful digi by UNKY of The East Wind Company. She is called "Pink Rose and Shimmer Chiffon", so of course I had to go all out pink :-D

I coloured the image using Copics. I had the perfect Sizzix die for the shape of this lovely image and edged it with some pale pink Whispers ink. I used some gauze behind and some die cut swirls. The backing card is from First Edition 'Love Letters' pad. The rose and ribbon to finish my hanging is from my stash.

So sorry for such a late posting :-(

QUIRKY CRAFTS GDT

Hello Peeps from a wet and windy Greece today !!
A little while back I was invited to do a GUEST DT spot over at QUIRKY CRAFTS and I am delighted to tell you that today my time has come :-D
The current Challenge #5 over at QUIRKY is called "Secret Garden" and was inspired by the 1993 Movie of that name.
The two awesome Sponsors are SAMAFLORA and a lady that is new to me UNKY.
I got to play with a lovely image from UNKY called "Braided Hair Big Eyed Flower Fairy" and I got a bit carried away and made two pieces.

For my first one, I coloured the image using Copics. I used 'Garden Corner' which was a free image that came from .... I think it was The Graphics Fairy... which I just colour changed to a dark green and then I found this lovely little poem on the Web called 'secret Garden' by Linda Hall.

I mounted everything onto some pale green Moondust Paper from Southfield Paper People, and added some flowers from my stash.

Then I got another idea. I coloured the image digitally and then made a 6" frame which I stamped with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad in a random fashion. I placed the coloured image inside and then decorated the frame with die cut leaves. The Glitter Flowers and Glitter Flies are from Boutique Elements.

There are some gorgeous creations from QUIRKY's full time DT, so I hope you will pop over and have a looksee. :-)
