A BIT WILD, WET & WINDY

Hello Peeps,
Well - the weather has really turned today - wet, windy and grey.
I decided to make a little scene of what it was like at the beach this morning !!!

I used DE-STEMPELWINKEL - "At The Beach Plate #32" for this piece. I decided to try the sea stamp upside down for my clouds at the top - it didn't come out so bad :-) I tried to disguise the straight line by adding to it in pencil to show what our sky looks like when we are going to have a Tornado or a Water Spout. It gets very black in a totally straight line across the sky and then you can actually see the spouts forming in the cloud line and then dropping down to the sea - like the one I drew in the middle of the scene.
The whole thing is lightly coloured with Prismacolour pencils.

I used the seascape up the right way at the bottom and added a couple of other islands on the horizon. You can only see these here on days when it is going to rain.... it's weird that they suddenly appear.. a bit like Brigadoon !!! :-)

There weren't many birds flying - just a couple - and some just taking shelter on the beach and the wind was really bending the palms !!
Glad to be indoors on a day like this :-)

Keep warm Chums :-)

  1. Cor . . . I've got goosebumps just thinking about your cold stormy weather! Blinking cold here too . . . but sunny thankfully.

What a good idea to use the stamp both ways up for different things. You ARE clever!
