I am now getting back to normal after having my lovely Daughter and her family here for a fortnight. It seems very quiet and a bit lonely now they have all gone back :-(
Surprisingly, I decided to work with my favourite colour today - Yellow - and so am having a bit of a sunshiny day :-D
My first one is using up my snippets of patterned vellum and daisy ribbon with a Freebie image from NEWTON's NOOK DESIGNS - who I only discovered this morning, and I have fallen in love with the Newton Stamp sets, so might just be treating myself pretty soon :-D I used the sketch given for this week's Challenge.
I printed out the image 4 times and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pens and then fussy cut the pieces to decoupage up with foamies. I added a blob of Diamond Glaze to the little Ladybird and then used a black pen to draw the flight line up to the text and past to the bug :-)
My second card features this week's Freebie from A DAY FOR DAISIES, and I have coloured this one with Promarkers.
I cut it out with my new frame die - Pierced Stacker #4 - from Cheery Lynn Designs.
This card also uses snippets of papers from the plaid collection at DOODLE PANTRY and some oddments of paper for the lacy borders.
I cut out some leaves and made some lemon blossom to add in the corner.
I followed SKETCH #249 from Sketch Saturday for this piece, but I turned it sideways..
I definitely feel a bit jollier having been working with yellow this afternoon :-)
Thank you for dropping in.

Oh these are gorgeous, Ike! Newton's Nook has so many kitty stamps - glad you discovered them! I love what you did with the freebie - your colouring looks amazing and the little ladybug looks like it's ready to fly off the card. Lovely lemons on the second card and again your colouring is beautiful! Both cards are so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteReally fun! I love how you printed the sunflower image multiple times to create the fun layers! Thanks for playing along with our Inky Paws Challenge!

Oh yeah . . . definitely a lovely splash of sunshine in these two cards Ike. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteAww . . . it's such a shame when the ones we love have to return home after a visit isn't it? Happy memories though.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Two lovely cards Ike. They are both so lovely and bright and summery. Love the little ladybird on the flower with his little trail. I've not seen one ladybird around this year which seems a bit alarming. Barbxx
