It's me with my 2nd project as a Macabre Minion at Haunted Design House . The Theme this week is 'Metal Mania' and boy, am I excited. !! I tried out a new thing with tin foil as I didn't have any sheet metal hanging around at the moment. So - without further blurb, here it is....
OUTSIDE:
INSIDE:
For the Outside, I have used 'Criss Cross Corset' from the Heavy Metal Set by Smeared Ink. I painted the whole image with glitter glue (that's why it looks green)and then coloured the fastenings with gold pen. The background was made using all the other images from the Heavy Metal set arranged on white cardstock. The edge of the card was smudged with silver and gold ink. I cut a plate from the inside of a take-away box which had a metal foil interior, and I used aluminium tin foil glued on cardstock to cut out my flowers and leaves.
The Inside has 'Monster Boy' from Dilly Beans Stamps, and I have coloured him digitally and cut him out 3 times to decoupage him in 3D layers. I also gave him some kooky googly eyes which are hilarious when you hold the card and they wiggle... snort !!! I added a handmade tag and sentiment with a little silver bow. So - all in all - loadsaMetal :-D xxxxx
"Metal Mania"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that uses, includes, or depicts metal in some way.
You can go very literal with metal embellishments or metallic papers.
Or you can use the Metal music genre for your muse, or maybe some
industrial H.R. Giger type stuff.
Make it dark if you dare!!
