IT's ATC TIME

I'm back again today !!
I made some ATCs for a little Swap going on over at the VERA LANE FB Group:  Mixed Up ATC Trade.
The idea is to use multiple Vera Lane images on the ATCs.
I have used ' Cats and Crocks ' . I coloured the crocks and covered them in glaze and then I fussy cut all the images and stacked up the crocks. The backing paper is by MEINLILAPARK  - Cat & Tea Paper.
Now my cats have plenty of bowls of fresh drinking water but for some reason several of them will jump up into the sink and drink the water from my 'crocks' ! Don't ask me why .... who knows why cats do what they do !!!!

On the other I used ' Lulu '. I also added ' Skull Sweater ', which I resized and just fit her perfectly over her original dress.
** I see now in the Shop that there is a special set with her and a selection of Ugly Sweaters that can be placed over her   LoL
I coloured everything with Spectrum Noir markers and gave her an Ombre effect jumper. The backing is a snippet of paper from my Halloween box and I made a little border using ' Freaked ' , downsized and placed together in a row.
I think Lulu and Freaked are older or were Freebies a while back because I can't find them in the Shop.

THE RAIN IN GREECE .......

........ Doesn't stay mainly on the 'plains'  LoL
I tell you Peeps - it has been raining now virtually continuously for 2 days - and I mean serious RAIN !!!  The swimming pool has risen about 8 inches and is only about 1 inch from overflowing !!
That in itself is not of great concern, but after last night's rain, I thought to check the Sterna under my house.
* these are underground water storage tanks that collect rain water from the roof for use within the house system. *
Now mine is really huge, but it was only about 4 inches from the very top - which is great for me, but not so great because it doesn't have an overflow built into it and what happens is that it finds it's way through the walls down in the basement, near the ceiling, and directly under that is where the mains electricity fuse box is !! It pours down the wall into the fuse box ! !
I have stuck towels on top and have been pumping water out of the Sterna to stop it coming in any more. The only other time it got this much water was just after I moved into the house and didn't know about what would happen. After 3 days of non-stop rain then, it totally wiped out my electricity system and stayed that way until the fuse box was dried out and fuses replaced ! Ack ! No power for about 3 days and of course, I couldn't run the pump to get rid of some of the water - so I really don't want that to happen again.
I expect we had major floods down in our main town as well. This usually happens when we have downpours anyway. I will try and find you a video if I can :-)
*** Found a photo ....

.... this happens a lot when it rains !!!!

This morning I snagged a gorgeous Freebie digital scrapbook set from PUBLISCRAP FORUM which was soooo right for my weather just now -  so I made this....

The wording I used says: '  Swallow flying low soon, it will rain.
' Rainy day '  and ' The Calm before the Storm'.

COMMISSIONS 2

Continuing with the huge commission - these are the other cards she ordered from me :-)

This one uses a GSD cutting file from Silhouette on the front and papers from my stash.
The Baby is from the DOLLAR GRAPHICS DEPOT -  Cute Diva Babies: Girl. She was printed 4 times and then fussy cut and popped up on foamies :-)
You can get excellent pre-coloured images there which are just perfect when you are in a rush !!! :-D

I made these using assorted dies for the flowers and leaves plus embellishments and papers from my stash. I used up the last of my shop bought small Doilies too :-(   The Antique lace came from my Brother :-)

SOME RECENT CARD COMMISSIONS

Hi Guys,
I know I have been promising to show these for a while but I kept forgetting.
Here are some recent  cards I was commissioned to make.
The Bow Template is from SANDRA's SCRAP SHOP.
One of my Greek friends is really sooooo into these cards - she ordered a whole batch. !! LoL

It's a good job that she gave me some time because these babies take ages to cut and make and after all that stitching, I think my sewing machine was pretty tired ! hahaha
I used an assortment of dies for the centrepieces and most of the flowers are from SAMFLORA, or hand made by me :-)

Thanks for looking xx

CAT FLAP ENVY

Hey again,

**** WARNING: this creation contains some very bad language ****
(for which I have already slapped my wrist !! LoL

I decided to do another Envy piece - this time using cats (of course) hahaha
I have used ' Cat Flap Magnum ' and 'Sleepy Kitty ' from AD4D.
I coloured them with Spectrum Noir markers and then made some sentiments.
I made the background by typing out the dictionary definition of ENVY.
This one is especially for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge. I know I'll be alright there cuz they know me by now  :-D  LoL....

Naughty language coming up so go no further if you don't like it ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

OK - I'm off to see what else tickles my fancy now then :-)
Catch you All later   xxxx

SOME ART JOURNALLING

Good morning Arty Peeps,
Well - it's still raining here although not so windy, so this morning I decided to have a little play with my Art Journal.
I have gone for an all green theme to fit in with some Challenges I saw.

I used an old book page and then placed it on a textured background I had started making (not got any further yet LoL) and rubbed over it with pencils like a brass rubbing.  I wanted to blend it a bit so used some baby oil but I made a big boo boo and a terrible blobby mess occurred at the top 1/3 of my page. !! To cover it, I used an ink pad to stamp onto some kitchen paper, then tore the squares out and stuck them on the page.

My main image is " SUCCUBUS 5 " - one of my images at IKEsART. I coloured her with Promarkers and then used one of my new stitched rectangle dies to cut her out.
I used an alphabet die to cut out the word Envy and then used the left-over card bit as a stencil to put extra letters around the page.
The words were printed out and cut up.

' A heart at peace gives life to the body, but Envy rots the bones '

BEE-UTIFUL :-)

Me again today Peeps,
Continuing my quest to use all 'snagged' freebies, I have put together two recent ones on this little card.  I smiled all the way through making this  - it makes me happy :-) The new papers really make me think of Spring.

I have used the latest Friday Freebie from PATTIE's CREATIONS called " Cute Bee " and a previous image I had from Pattie called  " Sunflower Vase ". I coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens and did 2 images of the sunflowers and fussy cut them. Then I popped them up on foamies to make 3D portions. The Bee also has KindyGlitz on his wings.

The vase image was cut out using a stitched rectangle - part of a set I bought from FIKI's shop - The Crafty Kitty Cat Shop -  and the background is a brand new set of Free digi papers I got this morning from FAR FAR HILLS called ' Watercolours '.
I think the Dies are Stitched Rectangles by Memory Box.

Thanks for popping by. It's nearly kitty feeding time here so I am buzzing off now :-)

A BIT WILD AND WOOLLY

Hello Peeps,
Well - after saying that Spring had arrived last week, it has definitely changed up a bit since last night. ! We had a big thunderstorm and loads of rain and the wind today is definitely wild and woolly. My Dog took one look outside and refused to budge and all the cats are cozying around the house :-)

I am hiding downstairs in my room and making some cards for Challenges I spotted recently.
I snagged a couple of gorgeous download Freebies from FAR FAR HILLS, so I have been using those too :-)

My first card is using the latest image from GERDA STEINER for the Progressive Challenge. It is called  " Bee Strong ".
I coloured him up with Promarkers and then copied the image several times to make a matching backing paper :-) His wings were done with Angel Fibers but it doesn't show up well on photos. Looks really cool close up though :-D
I used my new Basic Shapes Stitched Cutting Frames from Marianne Designs to cut him out.

Naughty or Nice Challenge #37 - Feature a Creature

My second piece uses a real cute elephant from SASAYAKI GLITTER called " Birthday Elly ", and the new Freebie set from FAR FAR HILLS which is called " St Patrick's Day ".
I used all 10 of the designs and punched out quilt shaped pieces and stuck them to card. Then I hand drew some crazy stitching round it. The Elephant was 'paper pieced' with one of the designs and I then shaded and highlighted him using Promarkers.  I changed the flame on his candle for a Shamrock leaf.
The flowers are from my new Multi Flower Die set from MARIANNE DESIGNS.

WATCH OUT FOR THE WEATHER :-)

Hello Peeps,
Just popping in quickly today with a card for a chum going to Oz.
I mean - I love a bit of sunshine but heat in the 50 + range would do me in !!!

Anyhoo - I have used multiple stamps from DE-STEMPELWINKEL in my creation and part of one of my images called  " Mirror, Mirror " for the crinkly old lady on the inside :-)
My background is pastels and the images were coloured with Promarkers.
I really messed up my mask + stamp of Alice so I had to stamp her out separately and then stick her on :-(

I am busy getting the photos ready for all the wedding card commission I had recently, so I will post those up tomorrow.
Not feeling quite the 'full shilling' today, so I am going to lay down upstairs and vegitate :-(

Thanks for popping in xxxxxxxxxxxxx

HAVE YOU GOT WIND ??

I was watching the world weather recently and it seems that DORIS has been causing some problems around the UK. Now it looks like they will get more snow !!
It definitely feels like Spring here and I hope that we have done with the cold North winds. :-)

On FaceBook the other day, I saw one of those reminder/celebration thingies on Lyn's Page, showing us that it was 5 years since the release of " HEDGIE'S WINDY DAY "   and I realised that I hadn't got that one , although I must have over half the Shop at SPYDER's CORNER. !!!!   Anyways - I managed to snag him and here is something I did after colouring him up.
I have also used another Freebie..... this time it is a scrapbook kit Add-On from Magnolia, and I have made him a cool, windy background  using one of her papers:-)

The words are part of a poem called MARCH WIND (author unknown) which I thought was just right for this image.

March wind is a jolly fellow;
He likes to joke and play.
He turns umbrellas inside out
And blows men's hats away.

Spyder's 'Other' Corner

I love Spyder's images and I really ought to get around to colouring them up - Spyder puts pictures of finished creations under the images in the Shop, so I'd like to fill it up with my offerings hahahaha LoL   :-D

Right - so I am off again now to get something else ready to show you and to find some Challenges to enter this one :-)

Thanks for popping in  (again) LoL
