BABY LOVE

Happy Saturday Peeps,
I hope you are getting some crafting done today :-)
Here is an ATC I made to enter Challenge #2 at DE STEMPELWINKEL - Anything Goes but Keep It Simple.
I have used my new rubber stamp from De-Stempelwinkel called 'Sitting Child' (a present from a dear Friend) and printed him using dark brown ink. I then scanned him back into the computer to 'flip' him as I wanted him the other way round to sit on my dictionary page in the right place.
I printed him out and coloured him with Prismacolor pencils and blended them with Baby Oil - so he even smells like a baby now !! hee hee  I fussy cut around him and stuck him flat on the backing paper.
I used a public domain Dictionary page from The Old Design Shop - Vintage Image Treasury  with the 'LOVE' section showing as my background. I edged with Tea Die Distress Ink. Then I used the same ink and my tiny alphabet set from Studio G to stamp the words baby love at the bottom.

I usually struggle with CAS as I always want to add more, but I am really pleased with my little effort.

SMEARED & SMUDGED JANUARY MEMBERS' BLOG HOP

Hello Peeps,

Welcome to the SMEARED & SMUDGED MEMBERS' GROUP January BLOG HOP.
It's all happening on FaceBook now since the Forum closed down, so why not pop over and have a look HERE
Our theme this month is "Dead of Winter" and I have made a fat page for my creation.
I stuck some plain white paper on my card and smeared a black ink pad over it. Then used some Perfect Pearls Mists to spray randomly. When that was dry, I used the "Beware Gate" cling stamp from STAMPENDOUS with black ink. My image is from the "A Very Skelly Christmas" rubber stamp set by SMEARED INK.I coloured him with Spectrum Noir pens and added some stickles to his hat for a frosty look and he was mounted with foam pads. My snowflake border is a Silhouette cutting file and I added some snowflake stickers to the background. I typed out the words for my title using 'Uneasy' Font printed in pale blue/grey onto grey background. The whole page was edged with black ink.

Here's a slightly different angle to show the  chilly effect I was trying to create with the Perfect Pearls - 'Forever Green', 'Perfect Pearl' and 'Turquoise'.

Right-Ho.... now you are off to see..RACHEL   and the full Blog Roll is below in case you get lost.
Thanks for visiting :-D xx

WE'RE BA-ACK AT HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE

OMGoodness .... I can't believe I am sooo late posting my creation - I totally had the wrong date in my head (and Diary !!)
Anyhoo Peeps - here I am back with my Minion Buddies and ready to play over at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE, with our first Challenge of the year.
There have been a few changes to our system, but nothing too drastic ...... basically we're now going to be running just one Challenge a month, starting on the first Monday of every month and running until just before the next month's Challenge.
Our first Challenge of this year is... "WHAT's NEW PUSSYCAT ?" ....
You can use new stash, or a new technique, or cats, or focus on something that's "new" New year, new moon, newly dead, new fears, new passions.

My piece uses a New Technique (for me anyways) as I tried stamping onto clay with a rubber stamp. I then brushed a black ink pad over the top and this is what I got !!! I forgot that I should have cut around it whilst it was still damp but I forgot and didn't have the nerve to try anything after it dried in case I broke it. !!!
My rubber stamp is from the "AS DEATH" unmounted rubber stamp set by Smeared Ink.
I mounted it inside an acetate frame and added scary masks all around as a border.

The Minions have made some amazing creations for you to see so please come over and play along at HAUNTED DESIGN HOUSE :-D

OSAAT Challenge #228 - Anything Goes - Something New

Hi Peeps,
Well, here I am with my first piece in the Design Team over at OSAAT - they are a fabulous bunch and since I do a lot of work with them on the Sponsorship side and stuff, I decided to join them on the DT  and they said 'Yes' , so I am now officially one os Stitchy's Angels :-D
Here is my piece for Challenge #228 - ANYTHING GOES - SOMETHING NEW

I tried one of these Exploding Box thingies and I really enjoyed it. I don't know exactly what they are used for cuz there's nowhere to write on them - just for decoration I suppose !!!!?

I went with the New Year option and was given "Party Time" from MY HEART PIECES as my image.

I coloured the image using Spectrum Noir pens and made a box card using New Year Printables from GRANNY ENCHANTED.
I also added my image 'Daemon' from IKEsART and a skull from the 'Absolution Deferred Set' by CRAFTY CHAOS. The main images were mounted onto thick acetate stalks so that they explode out more.

The Sponsor for this weeks challenge is StitchyBear Digi Outlet with the January 5 image prize pack.

Thank you popping in and I hope you will come over to OSAAT and play along :-)

DINGLY, DANGLY CHRIMBO TREE

Hello and Happy Sunday Peeps,
I am popping in to show a card I made for Shirley's December Cardmaking Challenge over at MY CRAFTS FORUM - a Card with a Tree on it. However, I completely forgot to enter it on the challenge site !!! Hahahaha LoL - too much to do I guess ! :-(
The card is made using a cutting template designed by BIRD's CARDS that I cut on my Craft Robo.

I used a snippet of tree paper to decorate and a scrapette of ribbon. It's a lovely File and cuts very nicely, and it was FREE . :-D  Thank you BIRD. xx

CRIKEY - SO MUCH TO DO AND SO LITTLE TIME !!!

Hello Peeps,

I have been rather busy at this end house/cat sitting for friends in Oz, settling in  the new pup , doing housey things and trying to stay warm as it's turned verrrrry crisp here. !!!!

Anyhoos - I meant to say that I totally forgot to post my piece for the new Challenge over at QUOTH THE RAVEN - #40 SNOW POE - White + 1 other colour. We are back after our holiday break and we have some new DT Members to introduce to you too. It would be lovely if you popped over to have a look and say hello... and even better if you joined in the Challenge.
Here is my piece to show you....

I used one of my images from IKEsART called 'Thoughts' and one of my skeleton hand digis.  The snowflake border and gravestones are Silhouette cutting files. Background paper is made with an embossing folder. My image was coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.
The quote is from "Eleonora" by Edgar Allan POE and the font I used is called 'Blood'.

I actually managed to get down to my craft room today AND I have electricity today - which is a bonus !!!!! Power cuts for the last 2 days !!!

So - I have a photo to show you of crafty pup - MOISHE- although he's not looking very crafty at this particular moment is he ??? hahahahaha

He seems to have taken over this cat igloo - but when there's 3 cats crowded into his proper dog bed, who can blame him really ???  He also collected up all his toys and hid them in there too cuz the cats were playing with them  :-D  LOL

NEW YEAR CRAFTING

Hello there Peeps and HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Here I am to show my first project of 2015 - a page in my journal that I started to make last year. I only got as far as the cover but here's a quick reminder.....

So - I had this thought - due to the fact that the last year whizzed by so quick..... Is it because I am getting older ? Summer holidays seemed to last forever when I was young !!
I decided to make a journal page for my "Book of My Mind's Eye" about flying time, and here it is.....

Now - is the bunny coming or going ???? What do you think ?

I used;
DeStempelwinkel stamp - Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland Plate #48
Printed multiple times from 1 single inking and then coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.
Backgrounds stamps by Lost Coast Designs - 'Large Perspective' and 'Spiderwebs'

The background stamps were overstamped on each other with black ink and the bunnies were fussycut and stuck on slightly overlapping.

Thank you for stopping by :-D xx

IMAGINE THAT PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE - DECEMBER

Hello Peeps,
I am beavering away this end making my Chrimbo cards - as, I suspect, is everyone else. !!!

Here is my piece for the IMAGINE THAT PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE DECEMBER - JOY.
If you enter each month you get the next month's digi for FREE and this is my 3rd time.

I am so rushed this end that I nearly forgot to get this going - thank goodness for fabulous pre-coloured images I say !!! :-D

I printed out the image after using the PNG sentiment at the bottom. Then I enlarged and printed out 3 holly sprigs so that I could fussy cut then and decoupage them in the corner. I coated the berries with glossy glaze to make them shine.
The punched edge is using a new punch I got from a local (Greek) shop.... stands back in utter shock !!!!...... it's a HEYDA punch - never heard of this make but it's perfect. :-)

So - I have to whizz off now - cat/house sitting for a friend and not enough hours in my day just now !!!

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST #39 - ANYTHING POES WEEK 2 + DT CALL

Hi there Peeps,
Here is my piece for WEEK 2 of the current challenge over at QUOTH THE RAVEN - #39 ANYTHING POES
I have chosen to create a piece about his poem to LENORE.
I have used my new  Sizzix Thinlets die - Damask & Scallop Borders.
The image of Lenore is from IKEsART.

I printed out the poem to Lenore and made like a scroll and a feather quill - alike to finish as if he'd just been writing it.

This is the Prize for this Challenge #39.

There is a DESIGN TEAM CALL running with this Challenge, so if you fancy going up for a chance to join the DT, then just pop (DT) after your name when you enter your creation to My Linky.
