A TOUCH OF THE BLUES

Good morning,
The other day I was messing around with different techniques to make backing papers and I tried Stamping with Bleach. I used some heavy blue card and a Stampin Up flower stamp. Not too bad but I pressed a bit hard I think !
So, I used a bit of this as backing for my entry to the SASAYAKI GLITTER Progressive Challenge April. You can find it HERE on FaceBook.
I decided to go with Monochrome blues for this piece..

The flower is from SAMFLORA and I added some leaf trim from my local store. I cut her out with my new Stitched Rectangle dies.

I am quite pleased with it except I think now that she looks a little dead !!!!

I'm off now to try some fake wood effect paper and some bubble wrap printing, so I'll let you know how I get on with those.

SCRIBBLES GDT POST #2

Good morning  Saturday Peeps,
Here I am with my 2nd piece for my GDT spot over at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS.

I have been having a silly 5 minutes at least once a day for a week or so now, and this card idea just came to me in one of those 'moments'.

I made it using

HAVING A LITTLE CHORTLE :-)

Well - there's always one isn't there... you know, the happy, skippy sod that turns up when virtually everything else is all doom and gloom, and they're like " skippaddy doo da fol de rol ", and you're like "Oh, for f*** sake, give it a rest !"

**(note to self: erm - well, that is usually me !) 
The little Greek lady who owns the kiosk in my local square laughs when she sees me coming and shouts out  " Ay - Καλή Μέρα Opra " , and has a big smile on her face !  I used to think ' Er - why is she calling Oprah (as in Winfrey I thought) until I realised that she meant 'Opera' as in the singing shows, coz I am always smiling and singing as I walk along :-D hahahaha

Anyways - I got this very silly idea when I was making my creation for the Progressive Challenge at the BLOOBEL Stamps FaceBook Group April event.
I got this crazy flower called 'Carey Carnation' to work with this month and I have teamed him with 'Leaping Frog' (whose face just says it all really). They were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and are set in a very drab, gloomy garden, which was produced in my graphics programme.

So, that's my little chortle for today - what about yours ??

I have popped in to tell you that a great artist Friend of mine is opening up her own SHOP.

LEIGH SNAITH-BRUNTON is a fabulous artist and has just put her first digi into her brand new Etsy Shop -  Whimsical Steampunk Easter Bunny

He will be at a special price until 16th April and other images will be added every few days and she says she may well venture into Rubber Stamps in the future which would be sooooo exciting too  :-D

YAY - I'M A GDT

Good morning Peeps,
I am here to tell you that I got a  3 month GDT spot over at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS.

I shall be making a couple of projects a month during April, May and June.
Here is my first using a variety of Bunny and Easter images. I made a Pocket Letter and this is about the 4th one I have made I think. I really enjoy doing them because you can use so many images :-)  A very kind crafting buddy sent me some of the plastic sheets to put them in so I am well pleased :-)

I made my own background using watercolour paper and inks and then stamped with flowers :-)

The Washi tape was sent to me by a crafting buddy.

All the images were coloured with Spectrum Noir  markers.

The current Challenge at Scribbles, #51 - Birds of a Feather has about 1 week to go, so you still have time to go play.

I shall be back in a couple of weeks with my next SCRIBBLES creation :-D

THIS MONTH's KITTY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone,
I am here to show you this week's creation I made for my SHOW US YOUR PUSSIES - CATS ONLY CHALLENGE #17.
This is an Anything Goes challenge with the added option this time of Easter.
You can use any images you like but your card's main feature must be a CAT.

There are lots of FREE images for you there and I have used the Freebie for this month........ ' Easter CatBunny '.  
He is wearing fake ears and teeth,  and has stuck his own ears down with Cellotape hahahaha

I coloured him with Spectrum Noir markers and followed the latest sketch from Sketch Saturday for the layout. The papers are all Freebies for March from Papercraft Magazine.
