QUOTH THE RAVEN & OTHER SCHTUFF

Hello Peeps,
Gosh - I feel like such a slacker because I haven't been in for a while or put my DT work up, but I can assure you that I have been beavering away this end like a demented beavering thing, doing gardening and craft room sorting and schtuff, so am now ready to craft away :-D
I am late putting up my piece for Week 3 over at QUOTH THE RAVEN Challenge #44 ... this theme is Raving Ravens and here is what I made this time... another journal page.... yay me !!!  :-D 

I used some pieces of a floral serviette as the background and on top of that I stuck a page from a gorgeous Notebook that a great Chum sent me :-) I inked up around the edges in black. I already had this Raven cut out in my Snippets box, so decided to use him up with a little cage (cut from my new die cut.... as if I didn't have enuff of those already   hee hee) I stamped POE inside the cage and the Quoth The Raven word art  using rubber stamps from the Quoth The Raven set by Smeared Ink . I wrote my sentiment by hand... it says...

"Fly free from the Cage of Conformity and live your Art ".

Here's a little card commission I did recently too. I was given the photo and asked to make it into an anniversary card.  I used up some snippets of scrapbooking paper and a selection of die cuts and silk roses. 

I scrunched out the faces for Blog purposes in case the Peeps didn't want their faces plastered all over the place .... my card didn't actually look like that  LoL  :-D

Well - I am whizzing off now to get something else finished, so I might be back again later :-)

QUOTH THE RAVEN QUEST #43 - TIC, TAC, POE WEEK 3

Hello and happy Thursday,
I am popping in to show you my inspiration creation for WEEK 3 of our current Challenge over at QUOTH THE RAVEN. Our Theme this time is TIC. TAC. POE and here is our grid...

I have used the Right section vertical... Raven, POE, Lace for my creation.

I made a background with papers from Smeared Ink's 'Zombie Killa' digital paper set and used a die cut left-over as a stencil through which I smeared home-made textured past. I smurged over it when dry with a black ink pad.

I used my Quoth The Raven rubber stamp set - also from Smeared Ink to do the images and sentiment flag. The lace and corrugated card were from my 'bits' box.

And so... 'tis done :-D

QUOTH THE RAVEN CHALLENGE #41 - WEEK 3

Good morning Peeps,
Here I am with my creation for WEEK 3 OF our latest Challenge over at QUOTH THE RAVEN - #41 FOR THE LOVE OF POE.

Since it was the month of the dreaded Valentine's Day , this Challenge is all about Love. Love for POE, or one of his love poems, or one of the ladies he wrote love stories about... you get the idea. :-D

I have made for you a Tag....

The background card is brown and I inked the edges. Then I stuck on some kitchen paper and spritzed it with Perfect Pearl mists in various colours. It looks great in my hand but not so much in the photos :-(

I then used the remainder from a die cut  - it looked a bit like a Gothic cross and I like to use up my snippets :-D

I used another of the left-overs to stencil through onto white card for the small panel and used my new SARNTANGLES rubber stamps on graduated colour card to hold my raven and POE portrait. I used the love stamp repeatedly across the card until the ink ran out :-)
