This is my DAY 4 piece using a POE image from Figaro Designs, which I covered in clear sticky-backed plastic..

I cut multiple die cut oval frames and stuck them together then painted them gold to make a frame. 

I used a piece of wood as my base and stenciled with paste using Dutch Doobadoo stencil - A5 Burlap.

I added some words from " The Raven ' by Poe and some embossed corners. The whole thing was painted with pearl paints. Then I added some strip pearls bought from my local Chinese shop and some flowers from Samflora.

Sorry about the glare picked up by the sticky-back. It was impossible to take a photo using flash but it still picked up a bit of the ceiling light. Unfortunately it didn't show up the gorgeous shine of my pearl paints !!!  :-(   Grrr - you can't win :-)

CARD COMMISSIONS JUNE 2018

As promised, here are some pretty girly cards :-D

This first one was made using several die cuts and some Greek lace. The flowers were die cut and then tinted with cream ink.

This one was for a Greek lady. The papers and images are from SALT TOWN STUDIOS - Blue Skies Kit  and the card was constructed using a Bow Card Template from SANDRA's SCRAP SHOP.  I printed out the flower elements in different sizes and then fussy cut and layered them. All the bow elements were stitched on my sewing machine. I used assorted dies for the lacy bits and leaves.

I used flowers from SAMFLORA and a lovely floral die cut which was sent to me by a Blogging chum :-)  The kitty was stamped in orange in and then coloured with watercolour pencils. The stamp is from a set by 'Your Next Stamp ' and the Set is called ' Jessica's Kitten '. The background papers are from 1st Edition - ANIMAL ANTICS.

SOMETHING PRETTY PRETTY

Helloooo there Peeps,
I ordered some lovely papers from SAMFLORA last week... and they were a bargain too. Well, DonkeyMail must have been rocket powered because they came in a week !!!!  Shock, Horror.... I nearly fell down :-D

Anyways... these papers are from Dovecraft and the set is called Couture du Jour.  48 sheets of 8" x 8" with dresses and stuff on them. I thought they might work well with a set of clear stamps I have which are all to do with sewing and schtuff....... and I can't find those just now !!  hahahahaha  :-D How typical is that ???

I decided to use them with this cute bunny, which is the February image from DRAGON's LAIR DESIGNS in their FB Colouring Challenge.
I printed the cute bunny out twice - once on white card and once on the patterned paper because I wanted to 'Paper Piece' her dress.  I coloured the white image using Copics but I messed up her face a bit trying to give her pink cheeks :-(

I think she looks like she's trying to decide which outfit to wear today ? !! :-D

I used another piece across the card and made a punched border from the striped paper and added a gingham flower from my stash.

SOME CARD COMMISSIONS

Hello again,
Here are my latest card commissions. Some of them I am having to make smaller because our postal rates have really gone up a lot so some people only want small cards....... bit difficult for me sometimes as I like to put lots of layers and stuff but hey-ho  :-)

This one is made using a Bow Template from SANDRA's SCRAP SHOP.  I tend to hand cut mine now as I can't be bothered to get out the CURIO.  I have made cardboard templates of all the pieces so I can cut round them :-)

This little guy was made using a die cut and cutting him out of corrugated card. The background was using scraps from my 'bits box'.

This one is a fold out 3D window card. I used a colouring page image for the Princess and added glitter and snowflakes.

I used a new die for the background of this one. I can't remember who the little ballerina image is from  TIDDLY INKS - Tiny Dancer freebie.   I coloured her with Copics, and made some die cut flowers.

Here's another bow card with flowers from SAMFLORA.

This one uses Binary paper for the background, a clip art computer geek and I cut out a tiny keyboard to embellish, with the letters for Happy Birthday coloured in red.

A TOUCH OF THE BLUES

Good morning,
The other day I was messing around with different techniques to make backing papers and I tried Stamping with Bleach. I used some heavy blue card and a Stampin Up flower stamp. Not too bad but I pressed a bit hard I think !
So, I used a bit of this as backing for my entry to the SASAYAKI GLITTER Progressive Challenge April. You can find it HERE on FaceBook.
I decided to go with Monochrome blues for this piece..

The flower is from SAMFLORA and I added some leaf trim from my local store. I cut her out with my new Stitched Rectangle dies.

I am quite pleased with it except I think now that she looks a little dead !!!!

I'm off now to try some fake wood effect paper and some bubble wrap printing, so I'll let you know how I get on with those.

I've come in today to show a couple of card commissions I did. Decided to go the pretty floral way for a change (well - for me anyways hahaha).. and used handmade flowers and some from SAMFLORA.

This first one was for a lady's 60th. I used dies and punches for the flowers and leaves.

This one was for a young lady in her late teens who is really keen on dancing.

The flowers are by SAMFLORA, and the image is " Tiny Dancer " from TIDDLYINKS. I coloured her with Promarkers.

BRING ME SUNSHINE

Hello Peeps and happy Wednesday,
I am back with another piece in my favourite colour.
This one is an ATC that I am going to put in a collection I'm making for a Pocket Letter to a new crafting Chum :-D  I haven't really landed on a Theme yet but this can be part of the Greek bit cuz that's where I live :-D

I used a piece of sunflower vellum for the back which I partially paper wove with some pale yellow paper, to imitate the squares on the stamped face. I stamped her onto 2 different colours of yellow card and then fussy cut and 3D'd the face with sticky pads.

The flower is from Samflora and I coloured the centre with Copic markers.

The image is part of the "Greco Roman Collage Elements Plate #50 ".

DABBLING WITH MIXED MEDIA

Hi Peeps,
I have had a dabble with Mixed Media. :-) A really good Friend sent me a box of goodies - things to alter, wooden shapes etc, so I have tried to make something.
I am fairly new to MM and still haven't really quite got the hang of it. I do know though that I simply MUST get some Distress Stains. !!!!!  I've got inks and some other spray thingies but they really just don't DO it..... not enough pigmentation !!!!  I see all these other glorious MM creations and their depth of colours are awesome and mine just doesn't cut it.  Ah well. !
Now I fuzzed out the photo because this is for a little Friend and I don't want them to see it until it arrives - or at least know that it's for them !! Hee hee
The little wooden cat is from THINGS TO ALTER, words from Make & Create, stencil used with modelling paste from Dutch Doobadoo (Faded Dots) and the flowers are from SAMFLORA.

I used multiple die cuts of the same shape stuck together to build up height and I added lace and corrugated card (now hidden underneath ) You can't really see it in the photo but the detail is better when you're actually holding this piece :-D

Oh Yeah !!!! As regards my gardening mishap with the badly swollen finger and half my hand....... opinion has it that I was stung by a Scorpion !!!!!!
No wonder it freaking hurt so bad. :-(

CHILLY DAY AT THE BEACH

Just dipping in again today Folks with my piece for the DeSTEMPELWINKEL Challenge #21.
It is still warm here but I decided to do a chilly, wintry day at the beach.
I have used "At The Beach " Rubber stamp set Plate #32.

I stamped the rolling waves stamp in grey several times across the sheet, masking off what I didn't want and then drew some of my neighbour islands on the horizon.

I coloured it all slightly with grey and ice blue pencils.

I then stamped out the pelican on the posts and some extra posts and a little seagull. I coloured these with Promarkers.

I stamped the  snowy tree ( b21735) up in the corner and then put some Stickles on the snowy bits.

My embellishment is some die cut fur sprigs and a gorgeous dragonfly from SAMFLORA. :-)

It's not as cold as this down on the beach yet but I expect it will look something like this come February :-D

I WOZ INSPIRED !!

Hello - I am back again ultra quick today !!!  I went off to browse the Challenges to enter my other card and I saw a Theme over on SPEEDY FOX & FRIENDS entitled "Cut-Away Embossing". What's that, I thought to myself and went over to have a look. Well......... I can tell you I was totally inspired - thunderstruck there on the spot by the brilliant creations their DT had made AND there was a little Tutorial there too, showing how it was done.  :-D
No sooner had I seen and digested, I rushed off to my cupboards to firk out the necessary accoutrements !!! Here is what I came up with, which fits perfectly for another of my card commissions :-) YaY !!

Really enjoyed this one and would deffo make one of these again :-)

I edged all the pieces with the Royal Blue ink and printed Happy Birthday with both inks on the stamp at the same time.

I used:
