30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE - DAY 2

Good morning Peeps,
This year I decided to join the 30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE 2020, which is organised and run by MAGENTA SKY PRINTMAKING and this is my DAY 2 piece. The theme today is " BOTTLES ". Of course, you know me I just had to have a cat on there too :-D

I drew the cat and bottles with a fine ink pen and then used a mix of watercolours and watercolour pencils to colour it.

As I said yesterday, watercolours frighten me to death as I'm not used to them but I am trying to have a play :-D 

I've only just now realized that I forgot to give him any whiskers  hahaha :-D

There we are - he has some whiskers now :-D

POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP 2019 - DAY 2

Hello POE Peeps,

Here I am with DAY 2 of the 4th Annual POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP  as hosted by the amazing LEIGH SB DESIGNS.

Here is my piece for Day 2 - I have a re-show of a mobile I made which has Ravens and using the Nevermore and Quoth The Raven wording as balances. It's all strung with fishing line and uses two pieces of soft metal for the arms.

***  I know someone wanted this when I showed it and I think I now have an idea about how to post it, if whoever it was still wants it :-D  ***

MY DARK VALENTINE - DAY 2

Hello Peeps,

Well - that schmaltzy time is creeping ever nearer and you know I don't really DO that crud, so I am delighted to be playing in this great Hop hosted by LEIGH and giving my darker side of Valentine's Day a bit of a shake up LoL

We have a fabulous 5 days of darker schtuff to see and I hope that some of you will come and play along with us :-D

For today's piece I have a  card using up things from my 'bits' box and I made my own sentiment tag.

I am looking forward to playing over the next few days.

Don't worry.... I am not going to scare you with really dark schtuff  hee hee

POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP January 19-23, 2018 - DAY 2

Hi Peeps and welcome to DAY 2 of the POE APPRECIATION DAY BLOG HOP as hosted by the wonderful Leigh of LEIGH SNAITH-BRUNTON DESIGNS.

I have made 5 new pieces to show you - one each day, but I will also be including some of my previous POE inspired projects to inspire you along :-D

For today, I have a Journal Page using one of the brand NEW images from LEIGH SNAITH-BRUNTON DESIGNS :  " ODE TO POE " .

The main image is from my Shop - IKEsART. She is called " ANNABEL LEE #2 " from my POE collection.

                                        

Firstly I made a background using an old print of a sepulchre and underneath I have typed the poem Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan POE, and splashed with a little blood - of course LoL :-D

Merged into the background also is ODE TO POE by Leigh :-)

I coloured digitally in Photoshop, then printed and cut her out for my page.

Here is a previous creation... a Mixed Media canvas I made for a friend.  I used kitchen paper, string, mesh, paper flowers + leaves, and some real feathers donated by my chickens :-)  The Raven is about 8 layers of intricate fussy cutting :-)

I don't usually do a lot of MM cuz it scares me to death hahahaha :-) 

The Raven was using in the same manner and then subjected to a dunk in my ' Melting Pot ' to make an earring........ just one for effect - yes ? !!

I used a selection of GRUMPIES by SMEARED INK on this one..... "Shot", "Just One" and "Stumpie". The backing paper is also from SI and is called "Deep Inside". The clay Brains are from Creepy Glowbugg  Click on Pics to enlarge.

This is such a difficult puppy to photograph !!!
