30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE - DAY 8

Good afternoon Peeps,
This year I decided to join the 30 DAY SKETCHBOOK CHALLENGE 2020which is organised and run by MAGENTA SKY PRINTMAKING and this is my DAY 8 pieceThe theme today is " FAVOURITE THINGS ".

Today I have done sketches using Spectrum Noir ink markers but this paper in my sketch pad sucks them up a bit much and makes things blurry but I quite like the effect :-D

Some of my favourite things - CATS, LILAC and MOLTO Croissants :-D

Thank you for stopping by and I welcome your comments. x0x0x0

SOME RECENT CARD COMMISSIONS

Good morning Peeps,
I am here with some recent card commission.
A friend was recently 80 years old and still doing decorating on his house even after falling off a ladder last year and breaking his hip !!!!
I saw him a few days before his birthday and scolded him for doing it after I had been told he had been up a ladder painting his chimney !   I mean ..... REALLY !!!

Anyhoo - naturally I made most of his cards this year with a decorating theme using a fabulous image I bought from DOCTOR DIGI  - Dunderton Decorators - which was just perfect.  They made perfect images for men which is so useful as I often struggle with Male cards :-D
Whilst shopping, I saw a card on the Dr Digi shop site which gave me inspiration so I CASE'd it LoL
Here is my version.

I used Kraft paper for the background and printed some rose pattern for the ' wall paper ' . All the images were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and then fussy cut and layered.

For this one, I used the same image but cut out only his head and hands to add to a ' Wing Suit '. The person who ordered this card made a joke about him being safer with a Wing Suit, so that's what I made for her card.

This Birthday Boy and his lovely wife also feed lots of stray Greek cats around their house and there are always more sneaking up. This card was decoupaged into 4 layers with all the cats. As he is 80 I put that on the front and the joke inside says  .... " Is that your age or the number of Cats ? "

Thank you very much for popping in xxx

KITTY FEST :-)

Hello Peeps and happy Hump Day ! It will soon be the weekend :-D
I was Blog hopping this morning and found a KITTY Challenge over at Lost Coast Portal of Creativity and they are having a 3 day Kitty Fest :-)
How could I resist ????!

I have some kitty images that a dear friend stamped up and sent me ages ago now, so I would love to win me these actual kitty stamps :-)  I covet the originals and have sometimes scanned them and then coloured them up cuz I don't want to use them all up !

I made some ATCs using a bit of 'overspill' paper from testing some new spray paints I bought last week. It looked so pretty that I cut it up and used it to make my backing papers. I laid them out to photograph in the order which my piece of patterned paper was :-)
The kitties were coloured with Spectrum Noir markers.
I added an little feather to the hat on the Party Cat, and some bits from new border strips my friend bought me for my birthday, as they were just the right colours.

Voila !!

MY POEM ABOUT CATS ART JOURNAL PAGE

Hello Chums,

I was sitting with my coffee yesterday and watching some of my Cats when a little poem starting flitting about in my head - so I wrote it down and made a double spread in my Art Journal.

Here's each page so maybe you can read it better :-)

I used assorted images from MEINLILAPARK, BECCY's PLACE, SLS LINES, CREATIVE BUSY BEE and Free Kitty download.

AND.......................

Here is a piece which sort of represents my household using a lovely digi from KNITTY KITTY.

These pieces were done for WEEK 4 of the current SHOW US YOUR PUSSIES CATS CHALLENGE #4.

Thank you for dropping in :-D    xxxxxxxxxx

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS...

Hellooooo Peeps - it's nearly the Crafty Weekend !!!  (oh - for those of you unlucky souls who have to work that is !!) the rest of us are just on 'Yay - permanent crafting time'  :-D  LoL  Good job I live too far away for you to hit me !!! :-D

Anyways - I definitely don't DO Valentine's Day and all that schmaltz so I made a little creation that just about sums me up  AND it has cats..... cool eh ???? :-D

The main images are Cats rubber stamps from DE-STEMPELWINKEL which I stamped with Versamark embossing ink onto red card, and then sprinkled with Personal Impressions Black Super Sparkle Powder before heating. It looks glorious close up but of course, it doesn't photograph at all well !!
The kitties come from Plate 31 - Cats... but I bought these two as singles but I can't find them like that now in the shop.

The pretty bit in the middle is a SARNTANGLE - made with a rubber stamp which came from an exclusive set on limited edition last year.  If you didn't get yours then, don't worry because you buy them in singles as DIGIS if you go see Sarn HERE.   I coloured it with Promarkers.

The background is an embossing folder - sorry it has no name or markings on it and then I smeared it with various shades of red ink pads.
The whole thing was mounted onto a red card and then I doodled some hearts and stuff around the edges.

It's funny - when I went to put a title on my Blog, as I typed it I began singing one of the songs from one of my all time favourite films - My Fair Lady...... "Show Me"...

Words! Words! Words! I’m so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
First from him, now from you!
Is that all you blighters can do?

SONGWRITERS
ALAN JAY LERNER;FREDERICK LOEWE

If you know it then it's probably got you singing now too hahahaha

ACK !!! NOT MORE CATS !!!!!

Well - I'll be darned...... Don't you just hate it when a cunning plan totally backfires ?!!!
Since I moved here, the word obviously got about that there was a potential 'crazy cat lady' living up the mountain and, on top of the 6 cats that we took on that went with the house, others have gradually snuck up here and ingratiated themselves upon me.
Only 2 of the original 6 still survive, but since then, a further 10 have arrived in some way or another. :-)
When Spring came and "Kitten Season" started again, I was dreading getting another influx but I thought I had escaped by getting myself the small Houndo Boy and that he would keep other interlopers away. !
This all worked well to plan - with him chasing off any cats that he knew weren't 'his' - until last week when my Daughter and her family were here.
During that time 3 more refugees arrived within the garden. They are attempting to encourage 2 others and the beloved Houndo is just greeting them and letting them walk on by !!!! :-(
It's not that I mind greatly.... you know - 16 cats, 17, 18, 20 cats - hey ho, but one of them is really noisy and is constantly everywhere I go saying 'Meooowww, meooowww' ALL THE TIME, and it's driving me nuts !!
We are now into the 2nd 'kitten season' and I am digging the Moat as we speak  hahahaha :-D

Well then - here's a little depiction of my situation. Yes - they may well have bought me prezzies and lovely wool in the purest Greek Blue - but enough already or I shall disappear until a mound of furry critters one of these days. !!

As for Houndo Boy - well, he's just crashed out in his dog bed whilst it is presently 'cat free' and he CAN get in it LoL  :-D

COPY CATS

Hi- happy Monday Peeps and to those of you having a Bank Holiday.. I hope you have some good weather ?

I saw some beautiful cards today over on the Blog of KT FIT KITTY and I was busting to try her technique out... so off I went.
Well - it all went a bit 'snafu' on me but I carried on and made some cards with my results anyways :-(

Here's what I ended up with.

Now, I don't know whether my watercolour paper was too thick or I was using the wrong sort of inks, but it didn't do what I wanted. I know I had the paper wet enough cuz I had to hang it out on the line to dry off. The puss cats were stamped on but I had to go over this one with a marker as it didn't come out too well.
I used BoHo Chic papers from First Edition and flower buttons from my stash and copied Sketch #357 (inverted) from Sketch Saturday.

I tried this one using Stayzon but I think the watercolour paper is too bumpy for a good image.
Stripey paper is from my snippets box and the twine is part of a recent Prize and is from  STAMPIN' UP .. 'In Colour Accessory Pack'.
I followed Sketch #235 for this one.

This one totally didn't really work because I blobbed it with Tim Holtz alcohol dies - and of course, they don't go with water !!! :-(  I wuite like the effect, so I used it anyway.
The papers are bits from my snippets box and I don't know who they are by. The kitties on these cards are from De-Stempelwinkel - Cherry Pie range. This one uses Sketch #340 (rotated).

Since I semi-failed at this I decided to have a go with bleach on coloured card and I made these.....

The Puss cat is from TLC Creations and the other two are from The Graphics Fairy.
With these, I bleached the red card using a mister containing ordinary household bleach and a little water and then dried it with my heat gun.

I then printed the images onto it - having lined them up, added sentiments and then test printed them first.
I made two little cards and a kitty ATC with a tiny cat brad embellie :-D
I added my own sentiment to the Cow card and she is placed on a backing paper that says 'Hello' in lots of different languages :-)

So - I got lovely inky fingers and had a pretty good time today. :-D

It's no good.... I shall just have to fly over to see KT FIT KITTY for some lessons :-D hee hee

Thanks for dropping in. xxx

A BIT OF SILLINESS

Me yet again with a bit of silliness I did for a brand new Challenge Blog....... SLS LINES DIGITAL STAMPS CHALLENGE BLOG.
This is their very first Challenge and the theme is "Ladies".
Well - I don't actually have any SLS 'Ladies' so I messed around with some SLS cats instead. hee hee  :-D

The background is a sketch of a Greek street. The Dustbin is by SCRIBBLES by SANDY  and the 2 cats are by SLS LINES called 'Cat Set'.  His pink cushion is just a cut out. I printed out the backing twice and 3D'd it and the cats are mounted on silicone blobs to make them stand out.

I coloured my cats with pencils and Promarkers.
