THE CAT LOVERS' BLOG HOP - DAY 5

Good morning Peeps,

I am getting in pretty early today with my creation for DAY 5 of THE CAT LOVERS' BLOG HOP, but first.... some funnies :-D...

This just makes me laugh because it's what my dog does to my cats :-D ..........

I laughed so much with this.... my daughter hates and detests Crocs and she said if I buy any more, she will have to come over and kill me LoL.....

This is pure cat humour..........

Translated :

" You say the dog disappeared ? "

"Bwaahahahaa"

" Hahahahahaha - I'm sorry human "

" Hahahaha - Ok, really...... I'm very sad "

And now - my piece for today. 

This is card made from a portrait I painted of my cat from many years ago. He was called Grizwald and just loved going in the car. He would sit on the back shelf like a nodding dog. Sometimes he would run along the fence and jump on top of the car after I had gotten in. On day he did this, without me knowing,  and I drove out of the drive and half a mile down the road without knowing he was there. I stopped at some traffice lights and he gently slid down the windscreen !!!! I had to take him to my baby's doctor's appointment hahahaha LoL. :-D   One crayyyyzeeee cat !!! :-D

I used to paint pet portraits as a small part-time business in the UK but unfortunately, here in Greece, there is no call for pet pikkies - they don't have the same relationship with animals :-(

So, there we are. This has been a delightful Hop and I have enjoyed seeing all the fabulous creations and meeting new people.

I got so inspired by this that I am thinking of starting a Challenge Blog just for Cats and Cat lovers........ what do you think ????? Would it be popular ?????

This  card is made for my brother, who is moving to a new home. :-)

It's another image by DIGI DARLA and also coloured in PSE9. I drew some faux stitching around the outside.

Tomorrow, I have a painting to show you that I had made into some greetings cards, and then the day after I might give you something scary :-D hee hee xx

Eeeek !!! - Watch out Peeps.... there's a flock of ferociously fierce Halloween felines coming this way just looking for blood !!!!

Here is my contribution for DAY 3 of THE CAT LOVERS' BLOG HOP....

The kitties were stamped with my NBUS "Scaredy Cat" cling stamp set by RECOLLECTIONS using black Whispers archival ink. I then cut them out, added a spot of colour here and there and placed them on a multi colour, multi stamped background, with spritz sprays and daubing too. There's some glitz on the background too and a die cut skully.

The stamp set was sent to me as a gift by a dear friend, so I am afraid I can't add a link to any shop for this. :-(

CAT LOVERS' BLOG HOP - DAY 2

Hello Peeps and welcome to the Cat Lovers' Blog Hop DAY 2 :-D 

This is leading up to October 29th - National Cat Day     YaY !!! 
There were some fabulous kitty creations yesterday on Day 1 and I will be hopping around to comment a bit later :-)

Here is my contribution for Day 2...

The kitties are from SPYDER and were coloured with Promarkers or Prismacolour pencils and the Poem is by John Keats - "To a Cat".

The stamping was done with one of those cube stamps with different designs on each side from StampCraft and I have had it for years :-) I used the fish bones and the pawprints.

THE CAT LOVERS' BLOG HOP - DAY 1

Hello Peeps and welcome to the Cat Lovers' Blog Hop DAY 1 :-D This is leading up to October 29th - National Cat Day     YaY !!! Well - I have got 15 of the little furry critters, so it would so rude not to participate wouldn't it ?? hahaha

Here is my contribution for Day 1...

The background papers are from my box of Halloween snippets stash and I found that I had just one of these cute cat with broomstick brads :-D The pumpkin is made of clay and was from my good friend CREEPY GLOWBUGG (she makes them).

I coloured the kitty in PSE9 and then printed him multiple times to fussy cut and make a 5 layer 3D image.  I cut the spooky letters from magazines.

The kitty is from DIGI DARLA DESIGNS and is called "Kitten n Cloak". I don't think she is trading any more... the Facebook page is very old. :-(

BUTTERFLY BIRTHDAY

Happy Sunday everyone,
I am trying to find my Mojo recently plus having a massive clear out in the house :-) I had to make a rush card order for a friend yesterday, so at least I had a bit of craft time.
I made this card after being inspired by a gorgeous one made by SABRINA . I have linked up her name so if you click you can visit her :-D

I used an ivy stamp from Dimension Fourth for the background and kind of shadow printed it, and I used the reverse cut out from a die cut at the back. The butterflies are clear stamps from INKYLISCIOUS and everything was stamped with Whispers Archival ink in Rich Plum. Butterflies were coated with Stickles for a bit of bling.

This time I got to use "KOSTUME KIDS - SPOTTY DOG" by ALIPEEPS at StitchyBear Stamps.

I coloured him with Promarkers and edged his card with orange ink.

The background papers are from Echo Park Paper Co. 6 x 6 papers - 'The Apothecary Emporium' set.

I also used Whispers Archival ink in Butterscotch and Black.

SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGES DT PIECE

I have been having problems this end so am a little behind with posting my DT piece for our latest Challenge over at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGES  # 34      - FANCY FOLDS of SHAPED CARDS.

I have used    Freebie Friday SPOOKY CAT  Ms W ITCH, and BAT and Freebie PENNANT.

From Accordion and Gatefold Cards to Sidestep and Z-Fold Cards, there are so many different types of fancy folds or shaped cards to choose from.  Most of us get into the rut of sticking with traditional square and rectangular cards.  While these standard shaped cards serve their purpose, it is time to challenge ourselves and try something a bit different.  This month we want to see you practicing different card folding techniques or at least presenting us a card with a different shape, such as a circle, bottle, cake, or baby onesie shaped card for example.  It doesn't matter what kind of fancy fold or shaped card you present.  As long as it is NOT square or rectangle, it will qualify for this month's draw.  So, what will it be?  Double Tent, Easel or  PoP UP? Or maybe you'll go with Candle shaped, Scallop edged, or Christmas ornament shaped?  This month thinking outside of the box, may actually  be a box!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

SCRIBBLES DESIGNS is sponsoring Challenge #330 over at CUPCAKE INSPIRATIONS and I have made a little DT piece for the showcase.

Since it is a cupcake inspired  challenge, I had to have one of those on there but the little Pup has a decision to make..... Cupcake or low fat bikkie ????  Hmmm - not much of a decision there eh ?!!  LoL

Here is the inspiration photo and colours...

I have used a previous Freebie Friday image from SCRIBBLES - "Cupcake",  another Freebie "Dog Cookie" and "Puppy Pea Pod" as my main image. All images were coloured with Promarkers in colours to match the inspiration picture on the cupcake and bikkie. The background is paw prints ( not sure where I got that one from) and then I cut the diet words from a magazine advert and used my teeny Studio G alphabet stamps to do the sentiment.

OSAAT CHALLENGE #247 ANYTHING GOES WITH THINK PINK

Here I am with my DT piece for our latest Challenge over at ONE STITCH AT A TIME. Our theme this fortnight is #247 - ANYTHING GOES with THINK PINK.
This time I got to work with " THE WINK " from STITCHY STAMPS. 
Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month we are all going PINK.

I coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens and then cut her out and placed her onto a background I made especially for this (sorry it looks a bit pale in my photo ).

I found this FREEBIE quote page on MEINLILAPARK. It's her new one from last week on her CAT BLOG. and I had to use it  because it made me laugh :-D If only this were true, I would be swanking my way down a catwalk in Fashion Week somewhere  bwaahahahahaha :-D


I used it with my new STAMPENDOUS brand new stamp - "Feline Curious".
I coloured the kitty using Prismacolour pencils and touches of Promarkers, but I smudged the bloomin' stamp whilst blending my pencils with the white spirit !!!. I had gone too far to start again, so there it is !!!
I printed the background twice and then cut out the quote and raised it on foamies. I fussy cut the kitty and put him on foamies too.

I just LUV gingers, so of course, he had to be a ginger :-D  I think he would fit as being in Autumn colours - don't you ??!

Here I am with my 2nd DT piece for the Midway Reminder of our current Challenge at SCRIBBLES DESIGNS CHALLENGES #33 - GOOD LUCK.

For many, September is a time of new beginnings.   Many families have children headed back to grade school.  Others have grown children en route to college or university.  Then there are those who may be starting their first full time job or just moving into their very first apartment.  These are all great reasons for wishing someone good luck.  You may have another reason to share words of good fortune with another.  Whatever the occasion, this month we want to see projects wishing someone you know good luck.  Everyone could use wishes for a little good fortune now and then!

My card uses Papers and digis from the PUPPY POWER MINI MISH MASH COLLECTION. available from SCRIBBLES DESIGNS.
I coloured the kennel and Dog with Bone using Promarkers. I decided I wanted him to be a Spotty Dog LoL
The papers are layered up and I drew some faux stitching.
The Good Luck was cut using a Silhouette cut-out. The New Home bone was drawn by hand and stamped with my mini Studio G alphabet stamps.

So - you have until 15th October 2015 to play along with us, but I will be back again with a new creation to show you at the Midway Reminder posting :-D

I was delighted to be asked to be GUEST DT for JULIA SPIRI and got to choose one of her super cute little girls to work with. Naturally I plucked one with a kitty.... called "Girl With Cat" :-D
Here is my GDT piece for  the JULIA SPIRI CHALLENGE #3, which is an Anything Goes challenge - the twist this time, if you want to,  is Add some Bling. 

I coloured her up with pencils and Spectrum Noir pens and my background papers and kitty face (I added a sentiment) are from MEINLILAPARK.... where she has some amazing FREEBIES - you have to check her out :-) She even has a Freebie Blog devoted to just KITTIES :-D  :-D
