RUDOLPH DAY - JUNE

Hi there,
Just popping in quickly to enter my creation for June's RUDOLPH DAY over with Sarn at STAMPING FOR PLEASURE.
I have used some scraps for this... I had already printed the Teddy before and I used a holly edge punch to go round some scraps of plain paper.

I am legging it off to Kos now for the weekend to visit a chum who's husband is away in the UK for 2 months !! She's stuck out in the middle of nowhere, so off to keep her company and kill a box of red wine :-D LoL

WOYWW #213

Happy Wednesday Peeps and welcome to WOYWW #213.
I have been making Sympathy cards and using a cutting file for the wings. My card has a lilac backing (this colour is the one used in Greece for a death, so we never put it on cards, presents etc otherwise). I have embossed the backing card using 'Timeless' embossing folder from the Romantique Collection by Couture Creations.
After cutting the two pairs of wings, I hand embossed them with small dots and attached them with silicone and added a small lilac rose. The base card is cream.

Looky in the background too.... a fabbo packet of Pencils I picked up yesterday for just 51 cents... cool bargain eh ?!!!  Fantastic for scribbling stuff down like I'm always doing.... and if Hubs steals one for his workshop... as he always does too !!!!

THE ZOMBIE's LAMENT

Happy Saturday Peeps,

Here I am with a macabre little pice which i call   "THE ZOMBIE's LAMENT".
I have made it for the current Challenge over at CRAFTY SENTIMENTS, which this week is 'Fun in the Sun'.
                                   
There was a Freebie image to use called...."Ice Cream Sunday Harriet". I am not sure they will be expecting me to have turned her into a Zombie, but that's just my warped mind right ??!!! LoL  I guess it's an example of how different a digi image can be :-D I haven't Zombiefied her too much coz we don't want to scare the 'mainstream' crafters  :-)

SMEARED & SMUDGED MAY ATC SWAP

Hello there,
Here are my ATCs for the MAY SWAP over at SMEARED & SMUDGED FORUM. This month's theme is "Black & White + 1 other Colour"..... I have used Brown.

I have used a background from the new 'Spiritus Mortis' Set by itKuPiLLi . Then I coloured  'The Birds' digi from SMEARED INK and superimposed it onto the background. These were then printed out and mounted onto thick card and I then edged them with black distress ink.

The little ravens were made with my new acquisition from SMEARED INK - the QUOTH THE RAVEN set in rubber :-D  (wearing my plastic gloves for this part though LoL !!!)
I inked the Ravens with Stazeon and printed them onto Polyshrink Plastic. When they were dry I heated it with my heat gun. The legs were a bit of a bugger coz they kept curling right up and sticking to the body and when I tried to uncurl them I poked a couple of the bodies with my stick !!!!  Hey - ho.... it is 'hand made' after all so it doesn't have to be perfect does it ?!!!
I printed out Nevermore  and cut the paper into little strips to make banners for my glass top pins :-)

BEARS' LITERARY CHALLENGE

Me again,
Here is my piece for this month's Literary Challenge over at THE HOUSE OF BEARS.

This month the book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and the Bears have given a selection of quotes for inspiration. I chose this one....

“You have rather the look of another world. I marveled where you had got that sort of face.” 

For my piece I have used one of my own digis.... "MUSE 6"... available in my SHOP.

MESSING WITH ATCs AGAIN :-)

Hello Peeps,
It's a scorcher here today again  !!!! At least my basement room is cooler, so this is where I am hiding :_0

Since I have had a run of making ATCs recently, I thought I'd do one for some current Challenges.
I have used my new Quoth The Raven Rubber Stamp Set from SMEARED INK.

My Raven is fussy cut and mounted with foam pads and I added some barbed wire and crochet flowers that I made myself. The blood and drips on the flowers are using the funny little drippy bits that ooze their way out of the hot glue gun whilst it's just sitting there :-)

UNDER WATER FUN WITH ATCs

Happy Sunday everyone,
I have been sunning myself by the pool this afternoon and now am back at the Compy to upload some stuff and do more work :-)

I have made this ATC for the "Under Water" Challenge #89 over at FUN WITH ATCs.
On the backing I smeared some yellow acrylic and blue ink onto bubblewrap and then squished it onto my basecard :-) Whilst the paint was still wet I used a poky tool to make wavy fish scale like lines on it that I later highlighted with Stickles. They look sort of like scales now :-)
The main image in one of mine 'MERMAID' that I have coloured up and she is available from my Shop HERE.  I've only used the top half of her - she is actually a full length image sitting on a rock :-) The little shells are some that I painstakingly picked off a small box I bought on a gift stall. Metal skully from stash :-)

OK - here's my first  Post of the day ... (well actually the 2nd if you count the one where I told you I was back... hahahaha !!   ) :-)

              
This time I am sponsoring the new challenge site..... MUSICALLY CHALLENGED.  This is a fabulous concept for a challenge.... every 2 weeks they give you a music video for your inspiration and you base your creation on that ! FABULOUS.... opens up the mind to all sorts of possibilities :-D

I have put together this little creation - my main character is Honey from the Goth Fairies set by Smeared Ink. I asked permish to remove her wings for this piece. :-) All the other bits are from the Web.

YAY !!!.... I'M BACK AT LAST :-D

Hello Peeps,
I am finally sorted out and trusty old Compy is fixed and up 'n' running :-)  Bit of a nightmare eh ?!!! I think he got some sort of technical constipation and couldn't get going  !!  LoL

So - I am now playing catch up to loads of emails, Blogs etc, and have yet to get Freebie Friday done !!!
I have had guests - expected AND unexpected. We had the air traffic controller strike in France and of course, Greece came out in sympathy !!! Ended up with guests staying here coz they couldn't get home after their holidays :-( Still... at least we have wall to wall sunshine, so you have to get a smile on your face don't you ??

Hello Peeps.... I am having a nightmare.!!!!  Fate has come to smite me yet again !!!

My computer sort of crashed in the fact that it is stuck on some kind of Start Up loop where it says it had a power supply problem blah, blah and will re-start Windows in 30 seconds. OK, I say, then it starts - I get the Windows XP screen and then it goes to sleep and starts all this countdown all over again... and again.... and AGAIN !!!!!!! I am doing my nut !! Don't know what to do and my Techy is in UK on hols :-( :-(  boo hoo !!

Anyways, I am on this other computer where I can't download or nothing and can't access my schtuff and I remember I haven't done the Candy Winner yet... sorry Peeps.

Sorry for being a little late but I have been in Hospital :-(

My Project is a hanging 'Thingy'... for want of a better word. :-)

I printed out my digi skully 12 times and then folded each one in half and stuck them together in a continuous circle.  He looks at you from wherever you look  bwahahahaha !!!    Then I threaded some beads, feathers, chains and ribbon onto a fixing and then threaded the wire right through. I used a small print-out of the SI poster at the top.
