Browsing around Blogland this morning I came across Lisa's latest post over at DECOSSE's DYNAMITE DOODLES where she has done 'Flashback Friday' and taken a trip down memory lane back to the 90's with one of her sketches. That got me thinking about what a wheeze it would be to dig through my old art folders from school and see what I could find...... I came up with this.... a study of reflection and refraction we did and if you squint really close you can see the date in April 1971 !!!! ACK !!! I was but a young Sprogette :-D It was done in pencil and is now smudged and the paper is turning quite beige with age LoL
Anyhoo.... I thought I might show it at PAINT PARTY FRIDAY this week - even though it's not actually a painting :-)
Hahahaha !! In the words of the song.... "You've come a long way Baby".... hee hee :-D
Your art is ALWAYS amazing Ike. I bow to your superior talents O Masterful One.

ReplyDeleteI love looking back at older work and this is a great piece to share even if the paper has gone that odd colour that paper goes... I hate that... have a great creative week...xx
ReplyDeleteWow look at that sketch. It is marvelous. xox
ReplyDeleteI love to look at old work to see how styles have changes over the years. April 1971 I was 2 months old! I still have my old school artwork in a folder somewhere and you've made me want to dig it out for a laugh! I might just blog about it too - you might have started a trend! By the way, that's a great sketch - glass is such a difficult subject!
ReplyDeleteLove the sketch. Always fun to look back and see how far we've come!
ReplyDeleteIke I really like what you have created. Glass is so difficult to draw but you have really capture the light. Love the chip on the forefront glass.
ReplyDeleteHave a very nice weekend
